When I write a review on Trip Advisor I always try to be fair and give actual facts , not based on reviews that I have previously seen or comments made by others . I stayed here for a week mid September for my birthday. Me and my friend were given Room 111 which was pool facing and on the ground floor . The room itself was a standard room, basic , but with everything needed . It had a decent view of the pool , and appeared a standard room , (but for a 4 star rated hotel I felt it too be very disappointing decor wise). (One good thing about the room was the shower 🚿. It was very powerful , with endless supply's of hot water whenever it was used .)

Because we arrived late at night two plates of food was left for us ( which consisted of pasta , cheese, salad , and some fruit and bread rolls, with a bottle of water each ), seeing as we were all inclusive guests. The food for the week in general was pretty standard all inclusive food. However..... the food was always well presented and the area where food was served always appeared clean and tidy The staff in the dining area were lovely and very friendly when collecting dirty plates from your table. .

There was only one coffee machine, so long queues always formed at breakfast.

The housekeeping of the room I found to be very substandard.. My friend and I had to ask on a couple of occasions for our room to be cleaned and bin bags to be taken out of the bins. Even though we had put the sign on the door for our room to be cleaned this was not done frequently as you would expect for a 4 star rated establishment. We even left towels on the floor in the bathroom on two separate occasions ,and these were still there in the evening on our return back to our room after being out all day . This resulted in us having to go down to reception to ask for clean ones. Our bedding was not changed once in the 7 days we were there, again we asked for this too be done at the reception on two separate occasions yet our request was not met .

The location of the hotel was also very " out of the way " from town ,(almost in a rural setting). Indeed Costa Calma town centre was very small with only a tiny handful of shops / bars. Definitely not an area if you like to be kept busy . The one bonus point was it did have a beautiful small beach .

Fortunately my friend and I hired a car from the airport, so we were at an advantage of getting around and explored alot of the island this way . (Having been to the island a couple of times previously I knew of various points of interest already). If we hadn't of had this luxury I would definitely of found this a very long week indeed if we had to stay solely in Costa Calma .

I cant comment on the hotel entertainment as we never stayed in the hotel in the evening . We spent alot of time in Caleta de Fuste ( which incidentally was a 40 min drive away from the hotel each way ). Fortunately my friend couldn't drink at the time, so this was a bonus ! Definitely stay in the North of the island if you are looking for activities to keep you entertained.

The staff at the hotel always appeared very friendly with the reception staff always chatty and helpful (even with a bottle of processco arriving to the room on my birthday with compliments from the hotel ).

Overall if I was to rate this hotel based on location , food , cleanliness, amenities and staff I would have to give a very fair score of 6 out of 10.

Would I stay here again?

If it was solely based on the staff then it would be a definite yes!...However will all other factors , eg.. housekeeping, location, room standards, it would have too be a no unfortunately .

Staff amazing so helpful. Rooms cleaned regularly. Food just what expect in all inclusive but what we had was lovely. Pool area not overcrowded plenty of beds and very clean . Not much in way of entertainment but if you just want to get away and chill perfect. Lots of solo travellers here but very safe and friendly.
