The 4 star all inclusive hotel Club Jandía Princess in the south of Fuerteventura is a paradise for adults and children alike. Located directly at Playa Esquinzo, this all inclusive hotel has two separate areas, one for adults (as of 18 years) and one for families.
The family area is tailored to the needs of children. The smallest guests just love the “Farm Princess” with its goats, rabbits, chicken and sheep and the vegetable patch, where they can plant and harvest to their heart's delight. The colourful, comic-style painted walls of the mini club describe the adventures of the “Principito”, the mascot of the mini club. It's the perfect place for the daily fun activities with the entertainment team.
The adults-only section is focused on privacy, relaxation and tranquillity. The wellness area offers relax pools, swim-up bar, whirlpools and a spacious fitness centre. A special Body & Mind sports program brings harmony to body and mind. Below the zen-area with its sauna and massage options, steps lead directly to Playa Esquinzo beach. For a small fee, guests of the family section may enjoy the facilities and services of the wellness area in the adults-only area of the hotel.
The core of the 10 building, bright-white complex is the shared pool landscape with its bars, and the main building with its buffet-style restaurants.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have just come back from a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location of the hotel and its views are AMAZING and is what truly makes it.
There is a good atmosphere around the hotel - there are four pools - one main for families and three smaller ones for adults. If you are adults travelling, you will not have a problem getting a sunbed, however I can see if you are a family - especially a larger one - it might be difficult getting sunbeds all together. This being said, the pools open at 10am and there are signs stating no reserving sunbeds. There are also shaded areas around the pools and bars. The pools were decent and clean. The main family pool is a lively area at times which is fun for the kids. There is also a kids club as well. The adult pools are more chill.
The room could have done with some maintenance. We were OK in our room and didn’t spend much time in it, but we did have ants come and go in the bathroom and the air con needed an upgrade! The doors to the balcony were a bit tricky to open and there were some mould around the fridge cupboard. The pillows and bed were comfy and everywhere else was clean. Air con quality is a main point in this hotel - there isn’t much of it but luckily there is a breeze around which helps a little.
The reception service we experienced was friendly and helpful. Staff around the hotel restaurant, bar and reps were friendly and greeted you and made you feel welcome.
The food was good. Each night had a different theme and also, a separate snack bar for the day if you didn’t want lunch in the main restaurant. Soft drinks and alcoholic drinks were decent. It wasn’t branded alcohol but that has always been our experience for all inclusive. All inclusive drinks are between 10am-11pm, which I found a bit odd but it didn’t matter to us in the end.
We would say the value for money what we paid - considering we had some discount with TUI - was fine. I think the hotel is great for adults and couples and you will not beat the location and views of the beach!
All in all, the hotel really does need some refurbishment, as many people have mentioned! A big thank you to Laura, Desi and Anna for looking after our little one! She especially loved the mini discos!
⭐ 1/5 – Very disappointing experience
Unfortunately, our 10-day stay was one of the worst holiday experiences we have ever had.
From the first day, we had ongoing problems with our accommodation, including no hot water, a very strong sewage smell, visible mould, deteriorating plaster and ceiling with pieces falling down, a faulty balcony door and a television that did not work despite being reported three times over two days.
We repeatedly reported these problems to the hotel and the TUI representative, but they were not properly resolved. We spent a significant amount of our holiday going back and forth to reception, waiting 20–30 minutes in queues and trying to get someone to help us. We even had to spend our own money on air fresheners and drain-cleaning products because of the sewage smell.
The situation was particularly concerning because our son has severe asthma and requires regular inhaler medication. At one point, after the hotel offered us another room, our room access cards were blocked while our son's medication was still inside. This caused us enormous stress and could have created a serious risk to his health.
Then, on Day 8, we returned to our room late at night and found approximately 7–8 cockroaches on the bed, floor, bathroom and sofa. Our children were frightened. They had already fallen asleep, and we had to wake them, carry them and move our belongings to another room in the middle of the night. The move took around an hour.
In total, we had to stay in three different rooms during our holiday.
We booked this holiday expecting a clean, safe and well-maintained hotel. Unfortunately, what we experienced was completely different. Instead of relaxing and enjoying time with our family, we spent 10 days dealing with problems, reporting issues, waiting at reception, moving rooms and worrying about our children's wellbeing.
This was not the family holiday we paid for. It was 10 days of stress, frustration and disappointment.
We have photographic and video evidence of the problems we experienced and have submitted a formal complaint to TUI.
Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel and would not return.
Had an amazing experience at club princess Jandia the animation team were fabulous. Big shout out to Laura and Desi skye loved you! Really would recommend this place xx
