Lovely atmosphere
It’s our third time here at the Mar, if we could live there then we would. It has everything for out needs during our hoilday. We upgraded & used the a La carte restaurant, which was a game changer. Lovely food & service. There’s no sun bed wars, the sun beds /loungers are great. The bottom pool is quiet & clean. It suits us just fine! Oh & the cats are amazing so don’t forget to feed them
Excellent stay for Special Occasions
As a couple we stayed here for our 10yr wedding anniversary and my Husband's 60th birthday. We hadn't been to the island since our honeymoon 10yrs ago and wanted to celebrate by returning to the island and we chose Occidental Jandia Mar as we had heard of the hotel 10yrs previous. We have had a lovely time here and the staff are so friendly and helpful and are always on hand if you need anything. A big thank you to Camilla who organised a special breakfast for our anniversary and a cake for Adam's birthday and we also got cava to the room for both occasions which was lovely. The pool's are salt water pool's and cold at first getting in, like with any pool on holiday but your body climatise's once your in. The drinks are good aswell, the food nice and a variety in the main buffet restaurant, something for everyone. You can walk down hill towards the beach, but then you would have to come back up the hill, which is steep. It is better to get the shuttle bus from the hotel, which leaves at 10am, 11am or 12noon, and you can return on it at 4pm or 5pm, or you can get a taxi which is about €8. We had a lovely room with balcony and terrace (rm408) very nice sea view and looked out onto the pool's aswell. Overall we have enjoyed our stay here.

Occidental Jandia Mar
Very pleasant stay at the Occidental Jandia Mar. We have stayed here before and the hotel was just the same and overall excellant value. Weather was great and everything was as it should be. The spacious location helps to stop overcrowding around the pools and entertainment areas. Drinks service is good and the choice available should suit everyone. We will definately return again.

Second time coming to this hotel. Disappointed the outside eating area is now only for premier guests although most nights it was empty.
