We stayed for a week from the 4th August. The decor of the hotel is modern but could do with a lick of paint and some maintenance, although I appreciate with a hotel of this size maintenance is a never ending job. The location is great, beautiful views and a short walk to the beach. Food is fine for an all inclusive, plenty of fresh fruit/veg, salad, fish, chicken, rice etc. The only downside really is how busy meal times are, it really did feel like feeding time at the zoo. Long queues for alcoholic drinks, often waiting 20+ min day or night. Staff were all lovely, very friendly and they work incredibly hard, but it appears the capacity of guests outweigh the facilities with sunbeds taken early in the morning, and not enough staff to keep up with the demand. There were plates and broken glass around the hotel, but I put this down to poor guest behaviour and don’t feel this is the fault of the staff. They tidy when they can, but with thousands of people behaving like animals they are fighting a losing battle. As a result, we spent very little time in the hotel and most of it at the beach which is beautiful. I do think it is value for money, and would consider returning at a quieter time of the year.
This is the worst Hotel I have ever been to. It is not worth it. There are no trace why this is still rated 4 stars . Even the locals have given it the worst hotel on this Island. The hotel building is in need of dire maintenance . Everywhere it is dirty. Broken glasses on path ways left for days. High risk for anyone walking barefoot. No designated smoking area. People smoke everywhere in everyone’s faces and kids .There are simply not enough employees to keep the areas clean on a daily basis. Long Queue’s everywhere. Drinking dispensers are often out of order. Room Service doesn’t take the rubbish out. Not to mention there’s only 1 small bin in the toilet. The food areas are dirty and it is far too loud and noisy like a high school cafeteria … you can’t talk to each other because of the noise. The menu is exactly the same for lunch and dinner every day. I think the employees are doing their best but it is simply very poor management. Do not waste your money. I think the owners are just squeezing the last bit of cash they can grab before this place goes under. Such a shame because the location is really good. Never again. Thx
Love the hotel but it’s badly understaffed - 25 mins in a queue to get a drink is not acceptable - staff work incredibly hard but there should be 4 people on the bar at night not 2. I guess it’s done deliberately to avoid giving so many drinks away. Would appreciate an answer.
Terrible service Restaurants tapas and Asian fully booked all the time To get a drink on the bar you need to wait 15 min on the queue Signal for WiFi and sim very poor Definitely not coming back again Not recommended to anyone
I booked here on a whim. Last minute. Booked the Monday, travelled the Friday. After I booked I checked the reviews and was sceptical but had a great holiday. It was getting busier towards the end (trip 24th July - 3rd Aug) but we had a great time.
Ate something different for dinner each evening (the meat options); didn't bother with the speciality restaurants simply because my son wouldn't eat there. The entertainment team were fantastic, got everyone involved but weren't pushy. They were in the pool as well as out participating and had games in and out of the shade. We also played boules, table tennis and pool (the first two, just ask at reception for the equipment). 4 swimming pools to choose from, main events are in the infinity pool but if you want to just do your own thing there are other pools to choose from.
Yes some of the small pool tiles have some off and some areas look a bit more tired, but if you are polite and ask nicely (like anything in life) you are more likely to receive a positive response. I requested maintenance twice and on both times they were there the same day. We genuinely didn't come across unpleasant staff, that includes at the bar, hospitality, cleaning staff, reception, entertainment, maintenance and lifeguards.
If you want premium 5* plus it's not for you. If you like to moan about small things. It's not for you. But if you just want a family getaway and don't let the menial things bother you then it's a great venue - please and thank yous go both ways as does a bit of patience 🤩
