Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso and Hotel

Unfortunately, our stay at Gloria Palace was quite disappointing, mainly because of the condition and cleanliness of our room.

When we arrived, the door kept getting stuck and could only open halfway unless you pushed it properly. We contacted maintenance and were told someone would come to fix it, but nobody ever came. The door stop was badly bent, and there were lots of scratches on the floor, making it clear that the door had been a problem for a long time.

The fridge in the room also did not work, which was another inconvenience and something that should have been checked before we arrived.

The bathroom was particularly disappointing. The bin had not been changed, there was a hair on the toilet seat, small hairs around the sink and more hairs in the shower. It really did not feel like the bathroom had been properly cleaned before our arrival.

On a more positive note, the restaurant was much better. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Francesca. She was incredibly polite, respectful and attentive when serving our food, and she made our restaurant experience much more enjoyable. Victor also deserves a special mention, as he always greeted us with a warm smile at dinner and made us feel welcomed.

Overall, although some staff were lovely, the problems with the room, broken fridge, bathroom cleanliness and lack of response from maintenance really affected our stay. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves the standard of room inspections, cleaning and maintenance.

Excellent hotel room, fantastic food and a lovely infinity pool. Everyone had a really nice time. It's a 4* hotel and I've given it exactly that rating. Customer service was superb. The gentleman who runs the snack bar daily is superb, lovely man who looked after us well. And the pool entertainer is a diamond! He is irreplaceable! Kept everyone entertained! Kids loved him.

Cannot fault it for what it is.

If I was to ask one thing that would make it better! The gym needs upgrading and the Aircon needs fixing in there. The heat was intolerable after 9am

This hotel is amazing for families, I had teenagers and 6 years old and there is something there for everyone and what can I say the views in that hotel are breath taking. This is one place you should go and see. I would highly recommend this hotel.
