Maspalomas Princess

Maspalomas princess side Hotel itself is lovely. Rooms are outdated. Not much entertainment throughout the day for children. We are a family of four and are staying. We are expected to let our 10 year old daughter who has started her lady moments and 8 year old son share a bed for this to be sorted we are expected to pay nearly €850 to have this changed. 2 specialist restaurants on site so booked in. Disappointed as still a buffet rather than a sit down meal.

i have just got back from this hotel after a week stay and i would definitely return. we had a lovely week and did a few different excursions and went out into a few different towns. when you asked reception to get you a taxi less than a minute and it was always there. the food was lovley no complaints at all. only complaint i do have is that there are 2 hotels joined and they all join by the buffet so when it came to eating it wasn’t nice. half the time you couldn’t even look at the food without people barging into you or in front of you. which i didn’t like.

the hotel in itself was absolutely beautiful we stayed in the adults only pool and it was nice and relaxing over there and a decent sized pool. there was plenty of snack bars too and bars. i liked that you could help yourself to drinks whenever and didn’t have to wait in queue etc. there was lots to do in the hotel there was always entertainment in the bigger pool, entertainment at night which was okay, and there was a arcade, pool tablets etc etc. was never bored always something to do.

we went to visit lots of different places too and definitely reccomend venturing out and going to look at all the different hotels etc.

we also had a photoshoot with the hotel which was absolutely amazing and really good prices for amazing photos so i would also reccomend doing that.

now my only few downsides to the holiday was the air con there is no aircon in the hotel at all.. i reported our aircon to reception 3 times they sent someone and he came in said it was fine even tho i tried to explain its not and he couldn’t speak a word of english so it was really hard to communicate with him. so in the end we gave up and just had really cold showers. the only other thing was our shower wasn’t very good not very powerful at all.. whereas my mum had a separate room and she had a waterfall shower … so that was kind of annoying. and again just the buffet lovley food and 2 different restraints you can go to we didn’t go to them as didn’t have time but it was just too busy in there and people will just act like you aren’t there. the staff was nice but didn’t really talk to you. but apart from that we did really enjoy our stay and it is a beautiful hotel and like i said alwuas lots to do especially if you have kids. and the island itself it beautiful and always things to look at / do.

The hotel was about a 7-minute drive from El Tablero Centro Comercial. We took a taxi from the hotel, and there was a taxi stand right outside the shopping centre, which made it easy to get back.

The staff during our stay were okay. Some were very nice and welcoming, while others did not always bother to say hello.

Unfortunately, the check-in experience was not the best. When I arrived, one staff member was checking in another guest, another was assisting other customers, and the third was exchanging money while talking to a colleague. I waited patiently for my turn and did not want to interrupt, as they all seemed to be busy. However, once they appeared to be finished with the other customers, no one acknowledged me or indicated that they would be helping me next. They still seemed occupied with other things. Then another guest arrived after me, went straight to the desk, and was helped without the staff checking who had been waiting first. I found this a little disappointing. Once I was finally helped, however, the staff member who assisted me was quite friendly and helpful.

The cleanliness was okay during our stay. Our room was not cleaned every day because the cleaners were not available when we happened to be out of the room, but this did not bother us as long as we got fresh towels.

There were different activities and shows every day, which was nice, and food was also available by the swimming pool. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was pleasant.

We rented a car for one day and drove to Las Palmas, which was easy to do from the hotel.

We had actually booked the hotel several months in advance and later realised that we had paid more through the website we used compared with another booking website, where a better room was also available. Unfortunately, by the time we noticed this, it was too late to change our booking. However, we were given an upgrade to a larger room, which made us feel that we ended up getting a similar deal after all. The upgraded room was a great surprise and had plenty of space for our family of four.

We did not notice much noise from outside either. Our room was not facing the show area, but rather the swimming pool, which may have helped.

The hotel itself was big and nice, with good facilities for different age groups. There was a shallow swimming area for small children, a swimming pool that was not too deep for older children, and a separate adults-only area.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel, especially for families, as there is something for people of all ages.
