H10 Playa Meloneras Palace

I, my wife and our 12 years daughter stayed in this resort during the second half of August 2026. We stayed in a suite, which was very good as layout, functional and more than enough storage places for a family with one child, new and well maintained. Very nice view from the large terrace over the pool and ocean, with enough privacy. The minibar theoretically replenished every 2 days with beer, soft drinks and some snacks. We have to call every two days to replenish it. This is an important problem of this hotel. They want to be sustainable, so they don’t provide water in plastic bottles. You need to buy a metallic bot-tle and to replenish it at some stations – which were only 3 for more than 350 rooms…the bottle had 660ml, for three persons in summer is not enough, we were thirsty during the night several times, and we bought water from outside… The gardens and grounds are very nice and well kept and the pools are pretty large, not clean enough (you can find hair usually in the pool), but not very crowded. Public beach with a lot of rocks , we didn’ t use it at all. Nice panorama from the Tropic bar terrace and from Infinity pool. Most of the public toilets were well cleaned but, for those located near the pools most of the times we found them dirty, plenty of water. The kids have a very small kids club with a small variety of activities…our daughter didn’ t enjoy it. The personnel are not enough, not good for this job, Main restaurant, not bad food but not enough varied, they provided almost the same food every day. The design of the restaurant very minimalist, looking like a canteen. The inside buffet was very noisy, it was very hard to eat inside without getting very annoyed. A lot of persons preferred to eat outside, on the terrace where is a nice place with an acceptable service. Only one thematic evening during our stay, with tasty sea food. We tried two a la carte restaurants: Brasserie and Italian. There was a charge between 35 and 50 Euros per person, with a very little variety of food, and not very tasty. At the Brasserie it was OK but at the Italian you can choose as a main dish only pizza, pork or pasta, it was not quite Italian. Most of the waiters looked grumpy, and I rarely saw a smile on their faces, not very experi-enced, not very thoughtful, most of them didn’ t understand English, but also with no guidance and coordination from the superiors. Still, we got along very well with Ana Maria, waiter at the Buffet restaurant and at the bar, who helped us several times to have a decent meal, being much more trained and careful than the others. At the bars, not tasty cocktails, some bartenders or waiters didn’t know what is in the beverage menu. At the pool bar the cocktails were awful, very difficult to drink. Moreover, the waiters bring you something totally different, or if you ask two drinks they bring you only one. On the other hand, the spirits included (whisky, brandy, rum…) were of medium-good quality, not very much to complain here. Daily entertainment was a disaster, aqua gym almost the same every day, the girl was pretty good but the boy was not at all gifted. Not enough sport activities, only 2 persons as animators, no party (foam, pool party, ….only one White party at 2 weeks…). Evening entertainment, only a few interesting nights, but most of them boring. For kids nothing to do in the evening, excepting mini disco which for small kids; at 12 years you don t have any-thing to do, only to look at the telephone…. No bell boy service. When we arrived, nobody helped us to take the luggage from the car and to move it to the reception (our driver helped us). During our stay we noticed a lot of similar situations, guests let to manage by themselves with the luggage, no matter if there were wom-en, old people, families with small children. Nobody from the guest relation came to ask us if we have a problem, they didn’ t seem inter-ested in collecting information about the guests’ opinions. To conclude, H10 Meloneras has a great potential, the issues we noticed can be solved pretty easily (English knowledge, trained personnel, especially at the bars, restaurants, better man-agement involvement, more sports and animation activities, more varied food). It’s a shame that such a good infrastructure, amenities and landscape that H10 Meloneras has are wasted by the drawback of some unsatisfactory services.

This is a pleasant, medium-sized hotel in a great location, right on the beach and a 15-walk into the nearest town. The hotel has two main pool areas, both salt-water which can sometimes feel a bit cold (although it is bearable!). The main pool is quite large, used mainly by families with young children. This pool can be quite noisy! The second pool area is at the other end of the hotel. This is a quiet pool area, for adults and older children only. However, there seems to be a lot of people at the hotel, and in both pool areas it can be a challenge to find a sunbed after late morning. The quiet pool area is quite small, and here the sunbeds are positioned almost on top of each other. It can feel a bit claustrophobic! Both pool areas have pool bars, although sometimes there's only one person working, which can sometimes cause queues! The food at this hotel is fantastic! There are speciality resturants, which have to be pre-booked like in most hotels. However the "main" resturant is very big and offers a wide range and excellent selection of food, which is always fresh and very delicious (there's spanish food, other international food, and "british food" available, so everyone should be happy, including children!). The staff at the hotel are exceptional, from the resturant staff, to bar staff to the cleaners (although sometimes the front desk staff are not always that happy or helpful!). Generally the level of customer service from hotel staff is very high. However, a few small things really let this hotel down. Firstly on the day we arrived (about 1pm) our room was not ready until very late in the afternoon (it should have been ready at 3pm). Reception said they'd text us when ready, however they didn't. We had to go find the cleaners and ask them if our room was ready, before heading back to reception to tell them! This wasn't a great start. The rooms are well appointment (we opted for a "superior room", in the 200 room number range). These rooms have great views of the sea. However directly above these rooms is the sunbed area for the main pool, and we were often woken up at 6am by people dragging sunbeds across floor (which sounded like the ceiling would fall down!). The entertainment is poor, compared to other hotels. There's a "show" from 10pm until psart 11pm every evening, however that's about it! (normally singers or a tribute band). However, the biggest thing that lets this hotel down, is the final day all-inclusive experience, which stops at 12noon. If you have a late pickup for a late flight, this means there's no food or drink for you on your last afternoon!! This is really poor for what is meant to be a 5* hotel. We wasn't told about this by our travel agent and the hotel didn't mention this until almost the end of the holiday. In summary it's a pleasant hotel, however we wouldn't really recommend it (for the reasons above), and we won't be returning. It's a shame because if they fixed the small things, the experience could be so much better.

Visited this hotel 9th-17th August, half board with my 7year old daughter. Positives: nice welcome drinks and meal (although making arriving guests wait until 11pm for a salad wasn't really necessary I felt), room was great, staff friendly, resort was clean, loved the water machines by reception and pool to reduce plastic waste. No issues with the quality of the food and always a table to sit at and a sunbed to lay on. Towels were always supplied daily, one lady from Animation Team seemed to do everything and was great!

Negatives: all pools are 145cm deep with no shallow ends making them all out of depth for any child under 8/9yrs old and meaning constant supervision and hard to even do the aqua exercise as I was on tip toes! Tiles around the pool very slippery. Kids club provision was very brief, too late in the day (3-4.30pm) and of poor quality...don't show actual beads on the app if all you do is sellotape a strip of paper around their wrists and call it bracelet making, for a 5 star hotel to not provide water with an evening meal is poor, entertainment generally was dated and poorly timed ..a kids disco (loose term) for 30mins at 6pm?! Should have been at 7.30 and then the main act from 9.30pm rather than 10pm. Once you check out at 12pm on your last day, nowhere in the hotel will take cash for drinks or food. The restaurant by the pool served the worst nachos and french onion soup I have ever had and for nearly €10 each but very few options for lunch as the bar didn't serve food until 4.30pm. On the last night, someone entered our room whilst we were both in the shower and left chocolate on our bed. Whilst a nice gesture, totally inappropriate to enter a room with two females at 6.30pm whilst a shower was running with the bathroom door open. I complained to the receptionist the next day but she didn't seem to register that this was a serious complaint.
