Absolutely fantastic hotel gardens landscaping and pools amazing.rooms very clean staff very helpful. What a fantastic place to relax.

Lovely grounds and pools couldn't fault that. We found the service at the pool bar by the lazy river very slow the waitress found it hard to understand English and got our order wrong twice. The Audi convention was a pain did disturb areas at the pool for a couple of days. Although the hotel calls itself 5 star the rooms are pretty basic furniture outdated and the bath towels leave a lot to be desired. 5 star hotels would have large fluffy towels these were dreadful very small and thin. This really lets it down. Room was clean but certainly not 5 star. Despite all this we will return but only bed and breakfast the evening meal queues are huge and our food was always lukewarm.

We stayed for 7 nights in September on a B&B basis. The Lopesan Costa Meloneras is a beautiful hotel with stunning grounds and pools, and overall we really liked the hotel. Our room was lovely, the hotel was very clean and most of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, a large Audi convention took place during our stay and this really affected our experience. At times it felt as though the hotel’s priority had shifted towards the corporate guests rather than the regular holiday guests. Certain restaurants and areas were unavailable or difficult to access because of the event. We were unable to have lunch at El Churrasco on some days, which pushed more guests towards the pool bars. These became extremely busy and the food choices there were quite limited. We also couldn't get a table at El Meandro. Service suffered too. On one evening around midnight, we waited more than 15 minutes at the bar as large numbers of Audi guests returned. It certainly felt as though staff and resources had been pulled towards looking after the convention. We also found the buffet dinner very expensive at around €50 per person, particularly as we were already paying to stay in a five-star hotel. Another disappointment was that during our seven-night stay our duvet cover was not changed once, which I wouldn't expect from a hotel of this standard. We did have some lovely experiences — El Churrasco was excellent when we were able to eat there, and the hotel itself really is impressive. I would consider staying again because there is a lot to love about this hotel, but I would definitely check whether a major corporate event was taking place before booking. Paying holiday guests should not feel that their experience is secondary because a large convention is being hosted.
