All inclusive in Playa del ingles

Positives: it’s clean and the food at the pool bar and Don Miguel (ala carte) are really good. Enough sunbeds and a nice spa apartment. Market next to the hotel if you want snacks or water. It’s a big hotel, but not noisy. Entertainment for both adults and kids every night.

Less positive: average food at det buffet’s. It needs small upgrades to be a 4’th star hotel. Quite a distance to the beach. Approximately 20 min walk. Cheap taxi though.. The hotel has a bus- transfer for a beach, but that’s a beach in Maspolamas. We preferred the beach in Playa del ingles. Some of the artists are almost unpleasant to listen to.

4 star stay that could have been 5

This is a fantastic place for a holiday. The hotel caters mostly to Dutch and Spanish guests, but that wasn’t an issue for us at all. The resort is absolutely spotless, and the staff work exceptionally hard to maintain that standard. Any issues around or in the pool were resolved almost immediately—huge thumbs up! The team behind the bars were fantastic, always happy and smiling, and the animation team worked tirelessly to make our trip memorable. The food was standard all-inclusive fare, and we had no complaints. You can get freshly made hot dogs and burgers at the pool bar throughout the day. (Pro tip: if you're expecting steak every night, all-inclusive probably isn't for you!) Our room was spacious and clean. While the corridors felt a bit dated, it didn't bother us. The spa was amazing, and the Dead Sea area is a must-try—all included in the price except for massages. We did have a few minor downsides, mostly regarding the evening entertainment. The "live music" was a bit of a disaster. I respect anyone brave enough to perform on stage, but the music was catered to a much older crowd and was quite boring—except for Friday’s themed party, which was brilliant. The children's entertainment and animation team shows were held indoors, and those were actually very good. Suggestion for management: Swap the venues! Put the lively animation shows outside where there’s more space, and move the quiet live music inside. Also, note that there is no air conditioning in the indoor show area. Overall, a solid 4 stars from us. If the hotel swaps the entertainment venues around, it would easily be a 5-star stay.

A lovely, fun family week!

We had a really enjoyable stay here last week.

The food was excellent, there was plenty of choice as well as the amazing a La Carte lunch time restaurant which we highly recommend. We generally went to breakfast around 8am and dinner around 6:30-7pm, we never had issue with sitting on a table for 4 outside, unless we were slightly later, and it can get busy but tables soon came up.

It was busy, but the queues at bars etc quickly moved and we didn’t find the rules an issue. The towels on sunbed saga is real, but we ‘joined them’ and put our towels out when we went for breakfast around 8am and always had a decent sunbed. There are rules, but they make it all more manageable, so no issues here!

The pools were a really pleasant temperature and the spa was great - especially the children being allowed in.

Rooms were spacious and clean, slightly tired in places but still perfectly good.

The animation team were great, our children (aged 3 & 6 had so much fun!) all the staff are wonderful!

We met some really lovely families and had a great time. Don’t panic about the trip advisor reviews, we were pleasantly surprised!

Dangerous, unhygienic and greedy money grabbing hotel

Writing this review while sat on the sunbed.

At first through rise tinted glasses we thought this hotel was really nice, it does look nice and the hotel rooms are ok however there are more negatives than positives.

The hotel is 3 star, however they set rules with what seems like the mindset a 5 star hotel which it certainly is not!

No towels on balcony at any time, this is a family resort so in a room with a family of 4 once you have placed your towels and swimwear from the day on the drying rails you have nowhere else to place your wet towels from the bathroom. Why the bathroom is an issue you might ask? Well it has zero ventilation so all heat and steam and water just collects and settles on every single surface and then remains wet and humid all day and night. So the only way to dry your towels is put them outside- on the drying rails that are now full of everything else. This wouldn’t be an issue if the towels were changed regularly, but they aren’t, they were changed twice throughout our 10 day holiday! The bathroom and towels is nothing short of dirty, unhygienic and a breeding ground for bacteria and mould.

The pull out bed in the living room is so uncomfortable and the pillows they provide are as flat as a sheet with no extras available. We asked for a spare bed to be placed in the room and we actually got zero response!

The hotel is WAY over filled! The facilities cannot cope with the sheer volume of people they are shoehorning into them. The restaurant get so full that you literally cannot get seated AT ALL! We spent every single breakfast firm and lunch time wandering round searching for a table, and don’t even bother trying to get a seat outside as all the tables for 4 and up are full normally by 1 or 2 people while the 2 seat tables sit empty! (This is pretty much the same inside too). Don’t try and put tables together, you get told off like naughty school kids! You cannot get moved in the restaurant for the sheer volume of people in there and you have to stand in a huge queue to get drinks from a barman in the restaurant rather than being able to serve yourself. The restaurant runs out of plates constantly so you have to stand around and wait for ages while they bring more plates out. Who wants to have to wait till 9pm to get an evening meal? This is the only time you can do freshly sit down and eat together and enjoy yourself.

Food was ok, pretty repetitive but it’s expected for all inclusive. Juices are watered down to the point they taste horrible. No ketchup at breakfast time only evening meal time.

Everything is done to cut costs, omelettes are pre-cooked and then cut into small slices and are plain with no taste.

Only 2 drinks each at the pool bar, so if you want more they make you go back in the queue again to ask for more!

The pool is so full you are packed in like sardines. One and is 3.4 metres so nobody goes in it and the end you can actually stand up in is so full of kids and inflatables it’s uncomfortable.

The stairs in the hotel are dangerous, made purely out of marble/stone so the patchiest bit of moisture or anything slippy and you will fall. The lifts are a lottery you press floor 2 and end up on floor 8 and then spend the rest of your time wondering where you might end up! They even close some of the lifts (bearing in mind how many people are using them)

The pool has missing tiles and is slippy around the sides. Morning time you have to get up before 6:30 if you want a sunbed anywhere, otherwise you are stuck miles away from anything, so you either join them or have a rubbish sunbed often in permanent shade or shoved out the way.

Entertainment was painful, singers who cannot sing at all and have been sourced from the Britain’s got talent reject bin, to the point where we didn’t even bother with it, and if you did want to listen to it then good luck, guess what, yep, not enough seats so you end up having to go sit somewhere else and listen to the entertainment from a distance or sit and endure the kids entertainment!

If you are English, prepare to be treated like second class citizens, pool and hotel rules are given to you on a sheet in Spanish only but you MUST follow them or the hotel actually put notes under your door or phone you summoning you to the reception to be told off!

All in all, the hotel places themselves on a pedestal that they do not belong on setting 5 star rules (which would be fine if the hotel had the standards to meet them) in a 3 star hotel.

Great stay!

A week back from this resort, and safe to say I’m sad about it. We stayed here for 10 days, there is ups and downs like anywhere you stay. I was worried about the bad reviews but then I think what is the person actually like behind the review. So here’s the truth about this resort.

Great facility’s, and a beautiful spa! The LA carte restaurant was a great touch and the food was lovely, yes the restaurant was very hit and miss and at certain times it was very busy but we got over it, yes some evenings the food wasn’t for us, but some evenings it was lovely so it’s about balance. The pool bar was great! Staff were fun and polite, they served burgers, hotdogs ect which were really nice!, across the resort was a pizza bar which was lovely too! Food wasn’t an issue if you wasn’t happy with the main restaurant.

The kids club was great! My children loved it, I ain’t the type of mom that leaves her kids unattended especially in another country so I stayed with them, but they loved the trampoline, soft play ect! However some parents are more trusting so if that’s the case you can leave your child if they are over the age of 4 years old! It’s staffed in there and the staff are good with the children I just prefer not to leave my kids with strangers.

The pools were pleasant, nice temperatures! Yes a few tiles needed replacing in the pool but it doesn’t stop you from using it, the sunbed situation is laughable! But that’s like that at most hotels, if you don’t get up and get your bed by half 6/7 you’ll be lucky to get a bed, however it became a standing joke for me and my partner!

The rooms, at first I wasn’t happy at all there was multiple issues and I did ask to move rooms, however they didn’t have availability for us to do that, but they kept to their word we arrived late night time and they said they will repair in the morning to which they did! I couldn’t fault the reception staff nor the maintenance men! Majority of the staff were helpful, and pleasant no major complaints.

Yes there was an issue with the lift, But if I’m honest there’s stairs so if your capable of using stairs them, a lot Of people who can use the stairs would congregate for a lift, so there caused issues with those, unless your disabled, have small children, pushchairs ect or any other reason why you can’t then use the stairs this would eliminate issues with the lifts.

Over all I rate the hotel facilities and cleanliness 9/10.

The rooms could do with an upgrade to bring it to the same standard as the lobby and facilities but it is what it is.

The floors in the room did need a good clean which I told reception and the cleaners was straight round! We had clean towels most days and they were always in making the beds ect.

I would definitely return!
