⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic stay with exceptional service and spotless rooms
Pre‑Arrival & Service I emailed the hotel before arrival with a request, and the response was immediate. My room was changed without hesitation or question — genuinely 5‑star service from the very start.
Check‑In Check‑in was quick, welcoming, and well‑organised. A welcome drink was offered, and every member of staff I encountered seemed genuinely happy. There’s a lighthearted, positive atmosphere throughout the hotel, and it really sets the tone for guests.
Room & Cleanliness My room was absolutely spotless — the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. This level of cleanliness was consistent across the entire property. Impeccable standards.
Breakfast Breakfast was excellent. Fresh orange juice and great coffee every morning — perfect for me. The rest of the food was clearly prepared with care rather than mass‑produced just to fill a buffet line. Quality over quantity, and it shows.
Noise The hotel was a little noisy at night, but this seemed to be due to its central location and two large adult events happening nearby. Not something the hotel can control, and it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
Overall A beautifully decorated hotel with a warm, upbeat atmosphere, exceptional cleanliness, and staff who clearly enjoy what they do. Will definitely return
A GOLD star holiday as always
Another fantastic stay at this hotel. We booked an airport transfer direct with the hotel this time and we had a nice executive car for the trip.
Arrival at this hotel is always a treat as the front reception area is so nicely decorated with plants and seating areas. A lovely glass of Cava on arrival. We arrived on an early flight so we arrived about 11.30 and our room was ready for us early so that was a great bonus.
Our room 302 as always was spotless and has everything we need for a good holiday away. We enjoy this corridor as it is a nice little walk just one flight up from reception.
The pool layout is great at this hotel with nice areas for catching the sun or relaxing in the cabana type beds.
We had room only this time but we did use the restaurant and pool bar and the food was still of excellent quality and there is a great range of drinks from smoothies, coffees and cocktails available.
Another thing we do like about the hotel that is a nice touch is the Monday evening manager drinks in the planetarium. A great musician plays guitar whilst the complimentary Cava flows. The hotel management meet and greet ensuring that everything is in order for your stay.
We made use of the hot tub on the sun deck which is nice and powerful. We didn't use the gym this time but from previous visits we know it has enough to keep you ticking over.
Our maid was excellent as always. Everyday or room was always kept in top condition and towels changed as needed.
The hotel is situated perfectly for us to reach all the local bars and restaurants as well as the beach. Bus stops are only a few minutes away that can get you to most of the major towns and beaches on the island as well as the airport.
We booked the hotel direct and flights separately for this trip as we booked it last year whilst still on site. We found the price really great.
We love the hotel so much we have decided to try out our first Christmas away here and have booked for 2 more weeks over Christmas and New year.
Thanks to all the staff that make this hotel a perfect relaxing holiday that I am sure will keep dragging us back for many more times to come.

Different, more tarnished than Gold this time
Let me start by saying this is my third consecutive stay here. The last two were great and I have little to take issue with on those. I apologise for not providing appropriate previous reviews. I’ll also add, I’m sure people there at the same time will not have had the same experience and, the 9th timer who insisted on telling us, would not stay elsewhere. This time though, it wasn’t as good. Not Gold, a little less shiny. The staff were not as grateful, as friendly or as welcoming. I get we all have bad days, may even feel pee’d off at life, but you’re paid not to show it. Less smiles, less engagement, less high standards, and more bronze than gold. The thing that separated this quirky, fairly average looking hotel, was the staff. They created a vibe that made you pleased to be there. They engaged, they thanked you for coming back, overly pleased you’d been there before. They went the extra mile and made the difference on what is a basic set of facilities. This year the check in was impersonal, the check out was near dismissive. The rooms weren’t as clean, the bit of broken glass clear near the black stool adjacent to the sofabed was obvious, the cobweb clear to anyone who bothered to look up. The mirrors cleaned to a foot less than they should be. The lack of attention to replenishment, it all adds up. First year making use of the breakfast. Given the choice, I wouldn’t again. The deep fat frier approach to cooking whatever you can spoiled it. This stretched to breaded chicken and fries at lunch too. I stopped trying after that. Also, maybe consider something to protect the pastries etc from flying things. I’d rather have the inconvenience of lifting a lid than risking what insect has been crawling round my food. Would I go back again? Maybe. If you’d asked me that the day before I arrived, I would have been in the 9 timer camp and not considered anywhere else. Now, I’m actively looking at the competition for our annual pilgrimage. Please Gold, find the shine again. When you do, I’ll be back for sure.

Amazing staff, amazing location and beautiful hotel
One of the best hotels we have stayed at. This was our second stay and it was exceptional. The decor and rooms are lovely and always spotlessly clean. The main thing that sets this hotel apart from other hotels we have stayed at are the staff. They are friendly and could not do enough for us to ensure we had a lovely holiday.
We absolutely will be back again, thanks to all the staff for another amazing holiday x

Another year, another wonderful GOLD holiday!
We keep coming back to GC mainly because of this wonderful hotel/resort. We just got back to the U.K. 4 days ago after our umpteenth stay at GOLD and all is good - welcome drink, immaculate rooms, THE best breakfast ever - and served until midday! The Bubbles reception with Renaud and the team on a Monday is a great start to a wonderful week! I used to scoff at people who returned to the same place year after year - but NOW I understand! Remember to utilise that Egg Station at breakfast - it’s there for a reason!!
