Relaxing, clean and well maintained
This is a lovely hotel, a few minutes walk from the beach but if you have mobility issues using steps, this will not be the hotel for you. We had a garden room with a side view of the pool which was ideal. Clean, spacious, plenty of wardrobe space and hangers, mini bar of soft drinks, water and beer restocked every other day, large bathroom with rain-shower and double sinks. The tea tray however was not replenished frequently. The staff are so friendly and helpful . Victor on reception made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived escorting us to our room providing information about the hotel on the way. Food was of a good standard, generally hot except for the pasta which needs to be hotter. There was a decent choice but after a few days it did start to become a little repetitive. The hotel offers a party night on a Friday at the hotel Gran Canaria with transport provided. We went to the Neon party which was ok but I believe that the white party is better and more suited to the age of the guests at the Palmeras hotel. There are no daytime activities at the hotel, however evening entertainment is provided by different singers, some better than others. We really enjoyed Frequencies singing songs by Legend artists such as Elton John, and the Bee Gees, and their Il Divo tribute. The pools are lovely and refreshing but do seem to be saltwater which doesn’t appear in Tui’s description so be aware if this is not something that you like. Finally the good old sunbed issues that seem to loom at every hotel. I can honestly that this is one of the best for getting a bed at anytime of the day. Ok, so you may not get prime position, and it’s the same old get up at 6am for some, whilst others place their towels and disappear for most of the day, there are signs asking this not to be done but there is no recourse for this behaviour. Having made some negative comments, they are minor, so it is a hotel I would definitely return to.

Another Fantastic Stay at Riu Palace Palmeras
We absolutely love Riu Palace Palmeras — this was our third stay and it didn’t disappoint! We had a fantastic 7th-floor room with an amazing view, and as always, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent, with plenty of choice at every meal, and the Krystal restaurant is a great addition, offering fusion cuisine in a more upmarket setting as part of the stay. The drinks selection is also excellent — I enjoyed more than a few Mango Vodka Suns in the evenings! Our room was light, exceptionally clean and spacious enough for two people for a week or longer. The in-room fridge is a great touch too, with beers, water and soft drinks replenished every few days. We’ll definitely be back!
Great visit with some concern
We stayed at the nice allé inclusive hotel for the fourth time in 1,5 years. Almost everything was perfect. Very good staff, everything very well organised and cleanness in top. But food has deteriorated lately. Pasta overcooked, meat cooked to death and taste of absolutely nothing. You feel no passion from the chefs. The just do their job with no passion. It is really a shame because all the rest is so perfect here.

Great 24 hour all inclusive hotel
We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Riu Palace Palmeras.
Check-in was excellent, with very helpful and friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and a lovely balcony with seating.
The bathroom was a good size with a decent shower, and the complimentary minibar was a nice touch, stocked with beer, soft drinks and water and replenished every other day.
The food was really good throughout our stay, with an excellent variety and plenty of choice. Having food and drinks available 24 hours a day was also a real bonus.
The pool areas were very enjoyable, with comfortable sunbeds, and we never had any trouble finding one. The staff throughout the hotel were always friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The only slight negatives were the lack of organised daytime activities, and in the evenings it could sometimes be difficult to find seating for the entertainment.
The hotel is in a great central location, easy walking distance to the beach and shopping centres.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and would happily recommend the Hotel Riu Palace Palmeras.

Family holiday
We have just returned from a week’s holiday at the Riu Palace Palmeras. The hotel is beautiful. It is absolutely spotlessly clean, the staff are lovely, very friendly and always happy to help. They all work very hard to keep the hotel looking good. No issues getting a table at meal times, plenty of sun beds and waiter service in the main bar. Couple of negatives,the food isn’t very hot, maybe because it’s a buffet and the staff are not great replenishing drinks. The soft drinks are served in very small bottles and the water is not left on the table. We have stayed in several Riu Palace hotels and the water and wine has always been left on the table. The courtesy room is awful. It is clean and there are plenty of towels but no ventilation or air con so it is more like a sauna especially after a shower. All that said I would happily stay here again.
