Excellent location and views from the room are wicked 👌..atmosphere was brilliant for the whole 11 days👌 highly recommend.from the entertainers were exceptional.the value is definitely worth it 👌 can’t fault it one bit

Overall, we had a good week at the hotel, with plenty of positives, although there were a few areas that let it down.

The hotel was very clean, modern and well presented, with a lovely environment and great views from all areas. Our room was spacious, modern and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning. The food was nice, well cooked and offered plenty of choice. However, the variety was disappointing, with the same breakfast options each day, no changes to the snack bar menu and limited variation with the evening meals.

The entertainment was a real highlight. There was plenty on offer, and the quality was generally very good. We also had no problems finding sunbeds or tables at any time, despite the hotel being at full capacity, which was a big positive.

Unfortunately, the drinks offering was disappointing. The standard all-inclusive package only included a handful of pre-made cocktails, with freshly made cocktails and a wider selection requiring premium all-inclusive. This was not made clear when booking and felt misleading. We were also disappointed that only one bottle of water was provided in the room on arrival, with no replacements during our stay. Bottled water had to be purchased, as complimentary water was only available by the cup, which seems disappointing for an all-inclusive hotel.

Another significant downside is the hotel’s layout. It is not particularly suitable for anyone with limited mobility or who struggles with walking long distances. There are numerous steps, long walks and multiple lifts to navigate. We needed to use two lifts, alongside quite a lot of walking, just to reach our room. There were also no hotel maps readily available, making it difficult to find our way around and locate the different pools and gym facilities.

The adults-only areas were another disappointment, as they lacked atmosphere and felt quite dull compared with the rest of the hotel.

Overall, we enjoyed our week, particularly the cleanliness, rooms, entertainment, food quality and views. However, the lack of food variety, limited standard all-inclusive drinks, additional costs and difficult layout stopped it from being an outstanding stay. It was a good hotel for a week away, but not somewhere I would specifically seek out to return to.

Just home from another fantastic girls trip with my mum to Puerto Azul. We have loved Gran Canaria for 20+ years, having stayed in many hotels / apartments and Puerto Azul absolutely tops them all.

We originally booked for April, unfortunately my dog needed urgent surgery which meant we had to postpone. Thank you to Jadranka from reception who was very understanding and helpful at such a stressful time.

Our private transfers arranged by the hotel still managed to collect us even though we arrived 3hrs late due to knock on effects from the air traffic control issues which we really appreciated.

On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful as always. Our room was ready, we stayed in a superior double with direct pool access. The room was beautiful and the pool a godsend in the heat. It was so peaceful and relaxing with sun on the balcony from about 2:30pm. We would go to the main pool / adults only area until lunch then our balcony until at least 6pm before getting ready for dinner.

The room was kept so clean and the housekeeping team took a lot of pride in their work. Shout out to Yuinedy (sorry if wrong spelling) such a lovely person.

The food was delicious as always. We have never found another hotel with as much choice for all meals. Breakfast is my favourite of all proper British sausages and the cake / pastry section goes lovely with a morning cuppa. The pizzas at the snack bar / lunch / dinner are delicious. Being AI+ we could have unlimited ice cream from the Gelato shop on site, not sure how we had any room after breakfast, lunch & dinner but we always managed.

The AI+ drinks included premium cocktails e.g. frozen daiquiris, espresso martinis and aperol spritz. We could also have branded drinks e.g. Jack Daniels and Baileys. The normal AI is absolutely fine if you don’t mind pre-made cocktails and local spirits, however I would recommend the AI+.

I could go on and on about this hotel, it is wonderful in my opinion. Sad our holiday is over but look forward to our next stay. Thanks again to all at Puerto Azul.
