Great location - we had a premium room, which was lovely and spacious, also kept clean to a high standard. Being able to choose a alternative pillow from the pillow menu was a plus. There was always plenty of great food choices. The staff were all friendly and very helpful, in particular two staff members went over and above. Would definitely return, had a great week.
We have just returned home from 9 nights all inclusive at the Don Gregory hotel, arriving late evening check in was quick, we booked a premium double seaview as all inclusive guests, had missed dinner but they did put aside a little food for us. The room was spacious with a glass bathroom which does not leave much to the imagination! The shower a walk in one was slow draining and when we showered in the morning we had a lot of water on the floor in the bedroom area we upgraded to a suite which we paid 20 euro extra a night for, we did not need room service the next 2 days as we had 2 lots of towels in the suite and so put the sign on the door, housekeeping did leave bottled water by our door, then we started to notice a smell coming through the drains! This smell was on and off for the whole of our stay and also heard other guests comment on the same thing. The bed was very comfy and house keeping did a great job. I stopped smoking over 3 yrs ago but do vape the smoking area was at the front entrance of the hotel, for non smokers that can't have been nice. The pool bar which was the only bar did a good selection of drinks one afternoon I decided to try the cosmopolitan but when the other half ordered at the bar he was told they were unable to make it as they were missing an ingredient so opted for the Hugo which was so nice and refreshing so in the evening thought I would have this again but was told there would be a charge as not included in the all inclusive, i explained that there was no charge earlier and the waiter went spoke to a woman at the bar and then returned with the drink and asked me to sign the receipt, I refused and said I would have a wine instead he took the drink back then returned gave me the drink back saying no charge this time but it's not included we were made to feel uncomfortable and so finished the drink and left, asked regarding this when checking out as there is a qr code to scan for hotel information and this stated it was included, was told the QR code was an old one .... so please be aware. You could see they are expanding and work was in progress for what looks like another bar and entertainment area, which should help with the seating side of things as guests were having to sit on the sunbeds when the evening entertainment was on. My partner booked a leg and back massage at the spa which he said was good. The food at the hotel was good you can always find something to tempt you and the staff were polite, although we did go out to eat on a few evenings as there is a shopping centre directly opposite the hotel which had a good selection of places to eat. We did try the Las Burras beachouse located beneath the hotel, which we thought was the al la carte and where you had a free lunch or evening meal but no we were charged for our meal and when I asked the waiter he said they were nothing to do with the hotel but as a gesture would give us 10% off. We found the hotel was not for us thought a 3 star would be more accurate.
Lovely hotel with a beautiful sea view to sunbathe too. A variety of evening entertainment although more catered for older people rather than young people. Anthea's water aerobics is good fun in the morning and I would highly recommend! The only downfalls are lunch is fairly repetitive, you have to ask for a drink there's no water or juice available to help yourself to which is a pain when your very thirsty and there's a queue or the waiters are busy, also the Aircon is very bad in the room. Otherwise a good experience and I've been very happy with my stay.
Average hotel, outdated rooms, toilet seat too down, toilet door broken. Bed was also noisy, look like it’s old as well. But room is clean. Spa space is very small. Gym very poor equiped, could not train, looks like hotel just tickboxed the amenities to get the stars. Pool area small for the size of the hotel, same with the bar. The staff is unfriendly (maybe not well paid). At the bar they are closing umbrellas (while people are still seated, disturbing them) and removing light from table 1 hour before closing time. At 23:00 they are indireclty saying you it’s time to leave althourg bar is oficial open till 00:00. I think because of underpaid staff. At the pool there were no towels available at 11:30 am and the staff keeps saying to wait for 1 more hour, although 1 h passed. I feel in general they are not customer oriented, they could not care as long as massive tourist companies (like Tui) are brining the tourists. Food and drinks are ok, standard one, location is very nice on the beach front. Air condition working well and night is quiet. Overall, average experience, will not come anymore.
The hotel is beautifully situated right on the ocean. The beach is about 300 meters long, but you can also stroll along the promenade, which is about 8 km long. The hotel staff is very helpful, especially Joanna Pluta – she's always smiling and available for any questions. The cuisine is varied, everyone will find something for themselves. The rooms are clean and cleaned daily. Pool towels are available without a deposit and can be changed daily. Plenty of loungers are available by the pool, and loungers on the beach are paid. High-end alcohol is available. Thank you again to Joanna Pluta – we felt well cared for and safe. Beata Barucha
