The pools here take centre stage with all three fresh water swimming pools offering amazing views of the ocean. One of the pools is heated over winter so you can swim all year round, and there is also a poolside bar for those who want to bask in the sun with an ice cold beverage or delicious snack.

In Playa Taurito you will be spoilt for choice for things to do, take to the chutes at Taurito waterpark or visit Europe's only permanent moonlight cinema. This fishing town is lined with traditional whitewashed houses, picturesque gardens and relaxing sea-water channels earning it its 'Little Venice' nickname.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

I have just got back from my second stay at the wonderful Mogan Princess. We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago, last year we were at their sister hotel opposite, and returned here again this year. I will start with the very small negatives: The hotel is a little outdated and needs renovation (happening in October) because the lifts often broke down which is not good for those with mobility issues, however, they were always quickly fixed! Another thing is that if you're vegetarian your food options are limited in the pool snack bar which is a shame, there are hot dogs, burgers, ham and cheese toasties, chips, salad bits, fruit and pizza (but the pizza was often meat too) always having a vegetarian option would be great (they do make special arrangements for vegetarians if you tell them, I'm just too shy to put people out). Also, the third bed we had in our room (kind of like a camp bed) was really uncomfortable, when I stayed before it was super comfortable, so I think i was just unlucky with this mattress).
Now to the many, many pros.
The staff. The absolute best thing about this hotel is the staff, they're the nicest people. You're greeted warmly at reception and they truly go out of their way to make you comfortable and welcome. All of the staff are incredible, we were there for 2 weeks and didnt have one bad interaction. Special shout outs to Ana-Maria who is without a doubt, not paid enough ;) she is so friendly, so funny and went out of her way to see to my family's comfort every single meal time. She is truly a gem. Edward and Brian who remembered our drink orders, made the absolute best Mojito's and remembered that I was allergic to grenadine. They made our day every day truly.
I saw another review mention cockroaches in the room. when we arrived we had 2 cockroaches, we just scooped them up and popped them outside, in the UK theyre attributed to a lack of cleanliness, but out here they're just bugs that come off the trees, we were there 2 weeks and after we'd escorted the 2 cockroaches out, we didnt have any others and we slept with the door open every night. Cleanliness is not an issue in this hotel. Every single morning from about half 7 you see the amazing housekeeping staff sweeping, mopping and working hard keeping the place immaculate.
Most importantly, I didn't see one cockroach in the dining area. (And only actually saw 4 all holiday (2 dead, and 2 in room).
The food is varied and lovely, you'd be hard pressed to not find something that you liked. We upgraded to premier AI (well worth the money). The view from our room was exquisite, the beds comfy, the water pressure immense. I will absolutely be coming back. Whilst their sister hotel opposite might be the better hotel currently (they had their upgrade first), this hotel has the better staff, the better amenities and the better views.
Amazing location, beautiful view
Hotel and Staff excellent, food and drink excellent,
Booked this holiday last minute as we have stayed in 2 other hotels in the area reviews we had read where good however upon checking in we was informed the lift from block 3 to get us to our block 4 wasnt working so had to carry our luggage up about 100 steps in the dark.[luckily for us a nice lady passing helped us ]The lift stayed out of action for the duration of the holiday so twice a day it was a trek up and down the stairs. TV in room wasnt working also and theres wasnt much choices of food overall a disappointing holiday 😞
