Taurito Princess Hotel

Stayed September for 10 nights after a previous visit in January, which I reviewed then. It's just one of those hotels that draws you back as it has so much to offer, so relaxing and good value for money.

Our stay in January was in a gorgeous standard room, unfortunately we had an inner balcony on the first floor which limited our view. I emailed the hotel to ask for an outer balcony this time and we upgraded to the Esencia package with a junior suite. Wow! what a room, on the second floor which was perfect. As many have said the hotel is immaculate, can't count the number of linen changes, staff are friendly, we love the fact there are so many different areas to sit in comfort.

We appreciated the Esencia package although some room ameneties weren't used, next time we'd book a standard room with Esencia benefits. For us the fact we had a comfy sunbed as we're old and falling apart :) and we were able to use the One Restaurant everyday breakfast/ evening which was totally amazing! the best steak and burger we've had. The menu is the same every evening plus a special dish, but there's enough to choose from and it's presented beautifully. The atmosphere is quiet and chilled, no dashing around the food stations, avoiding others. The waiters can't do enough for you.

The Esencia drinks package is not much different to standard, some cocktails pre mixed but the mojito's made for you and they're lovely. Standard drinks include most known brands with huge measures.

We spent most of our time around the pool in our designated area :) As with most places no inflatables or ball games, plus the no reserving sunbeds before 10am is adhered to. I just wish there were steps into the pool as the majority of guests are "mature" ( there is a hoist chair ) . We took breaks from the heat in the wooden gazebo seating area overlooking the sea, so cool and breezy. We ate at the snack bar where you can mix and match your own thing, shame about the pigeons:(
Although the hotel advertises as family friendly I'd say more suited to younger children. I think over 8's would find it a bit boring. It's not a place where groups of kids hang out and the entertainment is mostly aimed at adults.

We used the hotel courtesy bus to Mogan, unfortunately it drops you by the Cordial Mogan Valle, quite a walk to the town ( old and falling apart ) . Got the ferry to Anfi 24 euros for two of us and the bus back 3.30 euros, cheap as chips! Note a taxi to and from Mogan or Puerto Rico you're looking at over 20 euros.

We were just happy to stay in the hotel most of the time and make use of the all inclusive. We met lots of lovely people who return year after year, I think we'll be on that list as we're looking at rebooking soon.

I can't understand anyone leaving a negative review as this is just the best hotel, worthy of it's 4 stars. so, thank you all at the Princess.

Amazing place to visit. The hotel was beautiful, the stuff were welcoming and extremely polite throughout the stay. The choice of food was so good.

We stayed at the Princess Taurito Hotel this week and overall had a lovely stay. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room cleaning was excellent. The staff on our floor were particularly lovely and always friendly. We upgraded to the Esencia package through TUI, and we would definitely say the additional benefits are well worth it. Esencia includes breakfast with a lovely sea view and terrace, as well as a separate reserved sunbed area overlooking the bay. The rooms also have a mini fridge, safe, robes and slippers, which are nice touches. Unfortunately, our arrival and first couple of days weren't quite as straightforward as we'd hoped. As we were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary, we'd requested a high, quiet room. However, when we arrived, reception told us that the Esencia rooms were overbooked and there weren't any available. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was a beautiful room, but unfortunately the view was mainly of the roof of the building in front. There was a sea view if you peered over the rooftop, but it wasn't the view we'd expected. We asked whether it was possible to move to a higher floor and, the following day, they moved us to our original room. We appreciated them accommodating our request, although it did mean having to repack everything and move rooms. The room we eventually moved to was perfect, and once we were settled in, we had a really enjoyable stay. The resort itself is quite small, with a couple of shops and bars and a waterpark in the middle. The waterpark would be particularly great for families with children and teenagers. However, we did find the area around the beach and waterpark disappointing in terms of cleanliness, with quite a lot of discarded cigarette ends and litter around the area. There was also a local road closure during our stay, which made getting to some of the other resorts take considerably longer. We took a trip to Puerto de Mogán, and the road closure meant that the trip cost more because of the additional transfer time. Having said that, Puerto de Mogán is beautiful and well worth a visit. The lifts were often out of order during our stay, but the hotel accommodated this by opening the service lifts, so it wasn't really a problem. We saw some of the evening entertainment and thought it was good — pretty much the standard you'd expect from a resort hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The Esencia package is definitely worth considering, particularly for the breakfast setting, availability of an evening meal away from the buffet and the reserved sunbed area. Our main disappointments were the room situation on arrival and the cleanliness around the beach/waterpark area. However, the hotel did make an effort to resolve the room issue, our final room was perfect, and the friendly staff made a positive impression.
