This hotel, set amid the stunning landscapes of Costa Teguise beach and the island of Lanzarote, is a complex of typical white buildings that reflect the Canarian light. It is located just 300 meters from the fine sand beach and its turquoise waters. Within walking distance, guests will find the centre of town, Costa Teguise golf course and Aquapark Costa Teguise. The hotel is ideal for sports enthusiasts, as well as couples and families.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Pros:- The pool area was amazing if your going to spend a lot of your time here then you’ll have a great holiday. We traveled with a 7 and 11 year old and they both loved it. The entertainment team were so friendly and great with the activities and the everyone.
The food was as you would expect for a 3 star hotel, the fresh pizzas were nice and never had and problems finding something we like there.
The staff were all lovely. Reception staff were really helpful, the staff in dining were great with kids. The entertainment team were really friendly too.
Location was great a short walk to a good supermarket and also a really safe feeling area too. The transfer from the airport is about 20 minutes and the hotel is very close to the water park and the aquarium.
Cons:- These are things I would say we didn’t get caught up on and didn’t let ruin our holiday.
The rooms are spacious but in desperate need of renovations. The beds are all bowed and legs all damaged (spoke with a few people and a lot of the same in other rooms) The shower didn’t drain when on full power so showered with less pressure for the week, We’re were in D block and the view was nice. Rooms were a bit noisy but were cleaned nicely regularly.
The drink choices are pretty standard for an all inclusive.
The entertainment show are quite short some are ok some are very good.
We didn’t have a problem with getting towels by pool but that’s because we were early risers. But still beds available by the time we went for breakfast. Best positions go early like 7am but think that’s the same anywhere
From everything would we return to the hotel. I would say maybe if we got a good deal, wouldn’t be our first choice though.
Did it stop us having a great holiday? Absolutely not and that’s all you ask for. For a 3star all inclusive holiday in kids holidays you could do a lot worse. I would say very good value for money.
I was a bit worried about coming after seeing some of the reviews but I needn't have been. I came with my son who is nine and we had a great time. We stayed in block AB on the third floor, the room was spacious and clean and had a lovey view from the balcony. The food was good and there was a good selection for our 5 night stay. I can imagine if you were staying for two weeks it might get a bit tiring though. The staff were all amazing, cheerful and attentive especially the man at reception who remembered our names throughout our stay and could book a taxi in seconds. The entertainment was good, my son especially enjoyed the pool games and the magic carpet and to my surprise also took part in the mini disco. This was my first experience of all inclusive as I normally go on villa holidays and I have to say I was impressed. This was a good value holiday and worth the money paid.
I have just come back from a 10 nights stay at blue bay with my family . Overall I would say great hotel for families . My children loved the pool area , and the unlimited ice cream and snacks during the day, there was hot dogs, salads, burgers. Chips pasta/rice , fried onions all sorts couldn’t fault the snack bar at all. Drinks are serve yourself for soft drinks and beer which I liked . Staff were very helpful , special mention to Sarah who was such a lovely lady always smiling and really made you feel She was happy to see you. The kids club I would say wouldn’t be so good if it wasn’t for aris. He is brilliant, I lost my finger nail playing water polo and he was really helpful with this. He gets everyone involved and is really good at remembering everyone’s names i noticed so a special mention to him too! The breakfast here is delicious, something for everyone from cooked breakfast to lots of fruit yoghurt and cereal and also pancakes and pastries . Lunch time we only ate a couple times but was always nice again something for everyone , the evening meal not so great in my opinion there was a lot of repeats and alot of pork! We ate out a lot and there is a pizza takeaway next door that was lovely . Lots of shops close by and the square is just a 15 mins walk or €3.50 in a taxi . There was so many places to eat outside of the hotel Close by a gorgous Chinese all you can eat buffet down the road. Great karaoke bar in town called jesters although prams not allowed. The market on the Sunday is brilliant but definitely book this way in advance as there is only 1-2 coaches for the whole island I was told. The pool area here is so relaxed it allows you to have as many floats as you want in the pool and play ball games Iv been to places before where it’s not allowed . It’s very much guests can do as they please vibe within reason. There was also a ‘life guard’ present although he was very pleasant I would suggest a refresher first aid course. To get a brolly around the pool you need to get up early otherwise they’re taken! So defo need more of them. Luckily we always got one each day. Now.. the down side to the hotel . I would say is the rooms. Unfortunately they let this hotel down massively. We stayed in room E121 and although I appreciated the ground floor as there is no lifts here ! It did however smell very bad. It smelt of drains and sewage . It was not a dirty room but it jusf felf dirty. Towel changes are every 3 days which I think is too long and felt we were using mucky towels , the cleaners tried their best but I don’t think our sheets were changed the whole time we was there and at one point had to ask for toilet role at the reception as we were not left any. They just need a lot of TLC to boost this hotel. I think you get what you pay for here , I think if the rooms were better and there were improvements I would return , however I’d want to be sure I was again on a ground floor especially as I have 3 young children 1 being disabled I’d not like to think I was up the stairs! But yeah great hotel for families , great location, great staff , food not bad . Oh and we did not watch one bad show here . The evening entertainment was always 10/10 . Thanks blue bay !
Just returned last night from 10 nights at BlueBay. Overall we had a brilliant holiday. Staff in the restaurant ..all lovely and friendly..especially Carlos and the lady who checked people into the restaurant some mornings. Breakfast was great..big selection of cooked breakfast, pancakes, eggs several ways, pastries, cold meats and cheese. Lunch and dinner could always find something to eat..mainly the pizzas which were delicious. Could do with more clear labels on some of the foods such as the pasta..unclear what they were some days.l..would be helpful if they were marked vegetarian or similar at least. The animation team were brilliant..lovely people, involved everyone, worked tirelessly to ensure every win enjoyed their holiday and cared about the guests…special thanks to Aris and Lucie who we enjoyed doing the darts, water polo etc with. Great asset to the hotel.
Only downside really were the beds. We were in block E. Sofa bed had ants in it, very uncomfortable mattress.
Beds in the main bedroom very uncomfortable, although the children managed to get some sleep . Disappointing as the beds let the stay down.
Air con in the room was great and much appreciated. Hotel in great location with local shops a short walk away then a nice longer walk along the sea front to the main town.
Could do with more regular veggie options, more clear signing of food in the restaurant.
Snack bar was very good . Evening entertainment was varied. We would return if the bed situation improved.
Honestly, it was ok, been better hotels etc so we expected just about what we got, had a 2 bed family room which was huge and 2 bathrooms, bit of a rubbish view but we hadn't requested anything so there we go! Breakfast was great (i don't get people saying Breakfast is repetitive, what do have for breakfast!) Mainly did pool bar for lunch which suited us and dinner was very 3 star, pudding was awful though no real thought! Pool needs a touch up but to do so they'd need to close for a month I imagine, it was cold but most pools are, few grumpy staff, dark haired woman in shop, clearly her phone more important and happy Sonia on reception, rest were great including Pasc, the man who took you to table in evenings and most bar staff. The area is really nice especially the square in the evenings , would go back to the area but probably try another hotel
