All rooms have a private terrace with pool or gardens views, flat screen TV, telephone, memory foam beds, iron, hair dryer and a kettle. Our buffet service offers a varied selection of quality products and menus suitable for vegetarians, celiacs and designed for athletes who need a good portion of energy.
The hotel is located in Costa Teguise, a quiet residential area just 900 meters from Bastián beach and the town centre, where there are many shops, bars and restaurants. You will find the largest golf course on the island within 2 km, the water park a few meters away and the airport just 14 km distance.
Hotel is in need of serious renovations. Kids pools literally falling apart. 3 main pools are missing about 40% of the tiles. Hotel offered and confirmed a room upgrade only to back track as it wasnt available after saying it was confirmed. 1st night in a standard room before upgraded ( for £200 extra) to a smaller room with a hot tub that didnt work. Food in the restaurant is poor and the snack bar is made up of the food not eaten at lunch and placed on the pool bar. Entertainment is non existent, completely unnecessary queuing for drinks as they have to take your room number and put every order into there system. Life guard around the pool are more interested in their tictok accounts rather that actually lifeguarding. Sunbeds are a first come first served with 60% of sun beds having towels on with no people around dispite a strict non reserving policy that isnt inforced. Spending £4000 for a family of 4 in a 4 star hotel. We simply expected better. We will not be returning!
If I could give it an 0 I would
Extremely poor hotel I’ve never left a review before but this place was that bad I have too. The place is just run down and dangerous there are sharp edges all round the kids splash pool loads of tiles missing in the main pools that you catch your feet on the food is just basic, tasteless and repetitive.
We had to move out of both rooms as even though we paid to upgrade to the jaccuzi suites both rooms were infested with cockroaches
Is up to you but honestly if you have another option TAKE IT you’ll regret going here !
We visited Vitalclass at the end of July during the school holidays with Jet2 Holidays, travelling as two adults and one child aged seven. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely return, we had read some negative reviews before we travelled but never worry about them as we like to see things for ourselves, and we were right not to worry as this hotel is good overall.
The transfer from the airport took around 25 minutes and we were the third hotel drop off. Check in was excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was not quite ready when we arrived, so we were told we could use the hotel facilities and have lunch in the restaurant, and reception called us as soon as the room was available.
We upgraded to a hot tub room on the third floor of one of the buildings and were really pleased with it. The hot tub was private and a lovely extra. One thing worth mentioning is that the hot tubs on the second floor did not appear to be as private, as you could look directly onto those balconies while walking up the stairs.
The room itself was very clean and spacious, with a separate bedroom, kitchen area and lounge with the option of using the sofa bed. The rooms were cleaned every day, with fresh towels and bedding regularly provided. The only negative was that the sun loungers on our balcony were quite old and dirty, so we did not use them, although this really did not affect our stay, the Aircon in our room did work and we set the temperature very low on it when we got in the room and its was absolutely fine
The pools were cold and definitely took a little getting used to when first getting in! Some of the tiles at the bottom of the pools were loose, although I am sure this is something the hotel will deal with during the quieter season. There were plenty of sunbeds for the size of the hotel, but if you want one right beside the pool, you will probably need to be up before 7am as lots of people reserved them with towels. We chose not to do this and still managed to find available beds later in the day on the couple of days we stayed around the pool.
Overall, the pool area was good and our daughter absolutely loved it. The pool bar also had a great selection of drinks, with snacks available around 3.30pm after lunch had finished, usually including things such as hot dogs, chips and pastries. The lady working behind the bar, who I think was called Lara, deserves a special mention. She works incredibly hard and was always smiling and dancing. She was brilliant.
The restaurant was what you would expect from an all inclusive hotel. The food was of a good standard, usually with a different meat or fish option each evening alongside salads, chips, pasta, desserts, breads, cheeses and cold meats. Drinks were self service, including soft drinks, beer, wine and cava.
The restaurant staff work incredibly hard. They never seemed to stop cleaning, clearing and resetting tables, washing plates and replenishing the food. We always cleared our own table when we had finished, as I personally cannot leave dirty plates behind, but the staff were always smiling and welcoming despite how busy they were.
The evening entertainment was probably one of the weaker areas for us. The kids mini disco lasted around 20 to 30 minutes and followed the same songs and routine each evening. The shows were okay, although some felt slightly rushed, and everything was usually finished before 10pm. This was absolutely fine for us. Some of the children continued playing afterwards, but we never noticed any excessive noise from our room after 10pm.
The bar could become quite busy in the evenings as there was usually only one person serving until around 9pm, when another member of staff came to help during the busiest hour. Even then, we rarely waited longer than around five minutes. There was also no limit on how many drinks you could order, so people collecting six or seven drinks for their whole group actually helped reduce the number of people standing in the queue.
In terms of location, the hotel is a little out of the way. It is roughly a 30 minute walk to the main sandy beach. We hired a car for a few days, so this was not really an issue for us. There is no shop inside the hotel, which would have been useful, but you can use the shop at the Blue Sea hotel across the road.
After returning our hire car in the centre and having a few drinks, we got a taxi back to the hotel and it only cost around €5. The water park is also a great day out and is around a 15 minute walk from the hotel, although it is uphill.
Overall, we had a very good stay at Vitalclass. It is not an overly lively hotel and it never felt too busy, which suited us perfectly as a family. There are a few small areas that could be improved, but nothing that would stop us returning.
This was our first visit to Lanzarote and it definitely will not be our last. We absolutely loved the island and would happily stay at Vitalclass again.
We have just returned after 10 days at Vitalclass Lanzarote. We booked through Jet2 and chose the package with the water park access. In the run up to our holiday we were seeing quite a few negative reviews about the hotel which was making us worry about our holiday.
When we arrived, we found the reception staff very helpful and friendly, the restaurant had just closed but the offered us food if we were hungry. We declined this offer as we just wanted to get to our room. We were given 2001 which was a ground floor room, very spacious room. The living had the sofa bed out. The bedroom was very spacious and even with having a cot there was still plenty of room.
We had read a lot of comments about the air con not working in the hotel but found our room was pleasant. I actually think it is set to the temperature (25c). You couldn’t turn this down. You could set the thermostat to go lower but it didn’t happen. We did find this temperature pleasant and it did keep us cool and comfortable at night. The ceiling fans helped.
The pool. The pool area was good. The terracotta tiles can get extremely hot and also slippy. Definitely recommend pool shoes or flip flops. There are tiles missing in the pools. The 3 pools in the main area were ok, the main pool can be walked in from the shallow end and is approx 1.5m deep. This is the cleanest of the pools. The middle pool is 1.2m deep and accessed via steps or jumping in. The SOS team have to frequently fish out leaves from this pool. Towards the end of the day, the right side of this pool, the wall tiles do turn green with sun screen scum. The shallow pool has 8 jacuzzi chairs but approx 5 of these didn’t work. The kids loved this pool as it was shallow. Again, tiles missing and does turn green during the afternoon.
The restaurant was fine. There was a good variety of food and there was always something to meet our needs. During busy periods we did have to clear tables so we could sit down but this wasn’t too much of an issue for us. The food at the pool bar In the late afternoon was usually hot dogs or burgers with chips and some sandwiches but again these were ok.
The waiting times to be served at the pool bar and night time bar can become quite long at times. There is usually only one member of staff serving and this can lead to big queues.
The location of this hotel is set away from the main town area of Costa Teguise but it is only approx 5 euros in a taxi which is around 5-10 minutes or you can walk to the town in around 30 mins (might be quicker as we just took our time). We headed down past Blue Sea hotel and found a path down to the sea front and followed this. Apple Maps helped us. The waterpark is approximately a 10-20 minutes walk (depending on your walking speed) up from the hotel. This is a slight hill but not a strenuous walk.
Overall, we have enjoyed our stay at Vitalclass Lanzarote and it has met all our needs for our holiday. All the staff were very friendly and the reception staff were very helpful.
Not our first stay here, but the first time with the family of 12 in 3 apartments. Very spacious and light, TV with multiple BBC and ITV channels. Wide range of hot and cold offerings at breakfast to suit all tastes, with omelettes made to order, and a super range of fresh pastries. Pools cleaned each early morning, and very clear, comfortable sunbeds, good pool towels from Reception. Staff always smiling and helpful, most notably Divya, Maira and Falou in Reception, and the hard-working Miguel and Alejandro keeping people happy in the bar. With this being our 5th stay over the years, and now just in our 70's, I'm not sure how many more stays we will make unless we all come as a big family again, very likely as we all enjoyed it so much. P.S. large inflatables (rings, lilos) are not allowed in the pools, with lifeguards on duty until early evening, so save your money at the shops. I would mainly describe it as a young family hotel rather than couples, and they have a quiet area with its own pool for smaller children.
