Slightly disappointing
Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was far from what we expected. There were some good things, but overall, the negatives really outweighed the positives.
The room was one of the biggest issues. The bed felt damp, there were holes in both the towels and bedsheets, and the room smelled strongly of drains. The room was also dirty, with the floors particularly unpleasant. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, and the hairdryer kept stopping, which made the room even more frustrating to stay in.
The food was another major disappointment. The buffet was very poor, and a lot of the food was simply inedible. Even the drinks weren’t great, with the Coke often being flat. There was also a queue at the pool bar, which made getting drinks frustrating. The pool itself was not very clean either, with unpleasant mess on the floor.
The staff experience was very mixed. Some staff were rude and unhelpful, including at Mike’s Coffee, the Italian restaurant and the crêpe stand. The inability to reserve sunbeds was also frustrating. On top of this, the taxi service and bus times were unreliable, making getting around more difficult than it should have been.
There were, however, some positives. The entertainment team — especially Carlos, Andreas and Daniel — were fantastic and really helped make the holiday more enjoyable. The ice cream at the pool bar was also a highlight, and the beds themselves were extremely comfortable. We also appreciated that the hotel acknowledged some of the problems by giving us a letter of apology and some chocolate. We did get upgraded to a larger and much nicer room on the 2nd day which helped, but did not make this experience amazing.
Overall, while there were a few positives, the cleanliness, food, room problems and inconsistent service made this a disappointing experience. The entertainment team were definitely a highlight, but there are several areas where the hotel needs significant improvement. We all enjoyed ourselves but the negatives made it difficult to have an incredible time.

Fantastic Stay
We have stayed at this hotel many times on this occasion we were up graded to Adults only area which was very peaceful and access to the lovely Bistro Bar where the food and drinks were fantastic. We had a superior room 6096 with great views on the top floor. We also had an upgrade to the Volcano Restaurant where again the food was terrific. Service in these two restaurants was great but the service in the busy main restaurant was not as good but this was not completely down to the waiters. The room and pool area was very clean.

NOT 5* Waste of time & money
This hotel is NOT 5* and desperately needs some TLC .. We traveled as a family of x4 including 2x adults 2x children on all inclusive
Check in, Room & Reception - It seems they try to upgrade your room to everyone saying it’s a ‘special offer’ for a better view and different lay out in the room .. stupidly we paid for this which we instantly wished we hadn’t as the only reason we done this was to be close to reception due to myself and son being type 1 diabetic and prone to seizures / hypos and should we have needed help we could go to reception who were as useful as a chocolate tea pot! Reception would not give us any water and when we tried to get a small glass full we were told it’s to welcome guests only and to buy a reusable bottle to fill at any bar which we did however you have to stand there waiting ages for it .. we got a taxi somewhere to buy water! .. the room wasn’t clean our feet were filthy and we had one towel between all 4 of us which was only replaced if we asked .. the bedding is not changed they just make the beds which are filthy and marked from the floor .. room smells musky .. air con didn’t work so we were given two fans .. TV didn’t work & and reception said it usually does repeatedly to which I said well it doesn’t but they did sort this out.. we had no WiFi for the whole stay even though our room was literally next to reception and was told it was broken but should be fixed that day (we were told this every day) this prevented our insulin pumps from connecting to our sensors. From day 2 we couldn’t access the room because they were painting & doing maintenance directly outside our door our 2 year old walked straight out into black paint because they paint the tiles on the floor! If you look outside room 6039 you will see our footprints in the paint!!
Food & Drink - Service at the Piano bar is very good and presentation is lovely it’s just a shame the rest of the hotel isn’t like this .. the pool bar smells of grease and fat, drinks are flat and food is cold and uncooked, this then turns into the steak house which is the exact same food that had been sitting out all day! Same chips, cheap nachos & sauces & they had no steak!? Chicken burger is disgustingly bad we left half way through our meal & did not bother with the Italian booking the next day as knew it would be the same low quality food as the rest of it .. the buffet food progressively got worse it was awful in there the quality of the food is so low & we was all sick by day 3 so we resulted in buying food out of the hotel which was lovely, even the take away delivery’s were better quality .. desserts are good here however they also progressively got worse as the week went on very strange!
Pool - We managed to swim each day around 5pm because this was when the pool was at its warmest .. on the 4th day we went to our room to change insulin pumps and when we returned someone else was on our sun beds & said the towel hut had taken our towels off we had only been gone around 15 minutes we went to question this & others were there asking why their towels had been moved and getting them back one lady had been for a swim with her daughter and returned to no towels, they lost 1x of our towels and all of our clips, I tried to speak to the manager but he was not interested & it was embarrassing trying to claim back and explain why we was not at our beds in front of everyone who was just staring at the hut because of people shouting due to their belongings being taken.
We will never return to this hotel and strongly advise others not to, looking at other reviews it’s clear that management do not reply to negative comments only good ones so there is absolutely no point in trying to reach out to them but hopefully this review can warn others so they do not share the same experience

clearly not a 5* hotel The hotel itself is beautiful and the pools are very clean but overcrowded , the rooms are dated as in no smart tv or even internet connection the majority of the time , we did all inclusive the drinks are 5 star if you avoid the poolside bar , it’s the food that lets it down , I had better school dinners growing up , the food quality is awful , we ended up using a greasy takeaway from playa blanca that served better food , so we decided to book the ala cart , we didn’t even stay 20 minutes , starter was inedible and the steak was so over done it was unreal , then we started to notice it’s just the buffet food with a bit of garnish in the ala carte and the meals were all pre prepared before we arrived , it’s doesn’t feel child friendly in anyway and overall the stay felt like a 3/4 star experience. Location itself is lovely but as a family we would not recommend this hotel .
Poor experience
Hotel is lovely looking but lots of maintenance required. Pool areas are full of missing tiles in and around the pool. Maintenance been carried out all day by the pools making large amount of noise. Sun beds and parasols with food and mold on them.
Rooms very basic. Not very well cleaned. Ants all the time, room very dated and poor air conditioning and worlds loudest celling fan.
Food- waiters just wiping crumbs etc on to the floor from the tables attacking flys and birds. Buffett very basic and like a cattle market. So loud with kids running everywhere making at total mess of the fruits salads etc. pool side bar was ok. Very basic. Steak house awful under cooked chicken and over cooked deep fat fried wings, no steak available in the steak house! Awful food at the other two restaurants. Mainly always cold, staff know it bad as they don’t want to make eye contact with you or ask how your meal is.
Very solid 3* + with the food and basic dirty rooms. Would not recommended if you after a 5* hotel with good food and staff. Not value for money at all.
