This welcoming bungalow complex is situated in the tourist area only 300 m from the Pebble Beach of Las Coloradas, 800 metres from the Playa de Papagayo and about 3 km from Playa Dorada. In the surroundings you can find shops and businesses. The Centre is 3 km. also, at your disposal is the room service and medical care. It offers a wide selection of national and international brand drinks.
Currently on the last day of our holiday to Lanzarote as a group of 8 and we have had a wonderful experience. Despite an issue with air conditioning at the beginning, the hotel rectified it quickly enough and was fine from there. It's a very quiet place but plenty of people about to engage conversation with but never a battle for sunloungers etc. I quite liked the food and the addition of a cooked to order menu added to a small hot buffet, there was always something to eat and the restaurant always made my lad a cheese pizza which is all he eats. Pools were lovely and the staff are a credit to the hotel. Very happy with our holiday especially after a couple of iffy ones. Would come back even if it was for the huge bungalow - yes they're not brand new but they're functioning and you have an incredible little bungalow with an amazing balcony/terrace to enjoy. Probably up there with my favourite rooms I've had going away. Thank you to everyone for giving my family and my friends, who were on their first holiday away from UK, an amazing holiday.
Very peaceful and relaxing holiday. The bungalow was clean, spacious and well equipped. Loved the outdoor terrace area with a great view over the sea. Went with teenage girls who liked the quiet pool area, no sunbed wars and could get a sunbed whatever time of day we chose to go to the pool. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and the bar staff were very friendly and learnt the girls preferred drinks. Breakfast and dinner meals were good, lunch was disappointing but we were OK with chips, hot dogs and burgers we could get from the pool bar after 3pm. As our bungalow was well equipped, we could also go to the local supermarket to get gluten free bread and snacks to keep us going. Everything was labelled and my coeliac daughter and I always had something to eat - as long as you are not fussy, there's always a nice salad, meat options and fries/rice. No gluten free puddings apart from ice cream and fruit, but that was fine for us. Dinner was always lovely, we enjoyed choosing from the 5 possible dishes and everyone tried something different and enjoyed their meals every night. We are a quiet family and loved the bar area to play cards and relax in the evening - having no entertainment was great! We would also recommend getting the bus (number 30) from just down the road and explore the marina on market day and going to Playa Blanca for a walk and a drink. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, especially Gabriella on the front desk, all the bar staff and waiting staff. We went with Jet2 and had a message before we left to say it was downgrading to a 3 star from a 4 star. I feel this is a shame, a few tweaks and this could definitely be a 4 star again.
We stayed at Hotel Dream Bocayna Village in Aug 26. It’s in a quiet area of Playa Blanca and is great for families. Firstly some good points. The apartment was fantastic. Someone could live in it! Front/back garden, separate area for drying. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room. We were very happy with it. We could be fussy and say the aircon could be throughout (based in kitchen/living area) but there are fans in the bedroom as well and we slept well. The hotel was clean and tidy. It does need some love in places, but there were handymen there. Staff- they have some loyal friendly staff that work hard from morning to night. They were clearly short staffed though. There wasn’t always a lifeguard, and the day we tried to get pool food it wasn’t available as they were short staffed. Food- No issues with breakfast. Everything you could want including a variety of milks. Lunch- I have nothing good to say about lunch. We were actually quite appalled by it. One day we turned up and nothing was ready. Everyone was sat waiting and when food came out, it was gone in a flash. There were the same 2 pizzas everyday, chips, salad and a few questionable things that may have been leftovers. Surprisingly no bread, wraps or usual lunch items. There wasn’t even any ice cream out on occasions, which the kids were annoyed about. We found ourselves quite frustrated every lunchtime considering the amount of money we spent on the holiday. Evening meal- this was a mixed experience. Along with the buffet, there was a menu you could order from with 5 items on it. This was included on all inclusive, and was much better than the buffet. The buffet itself wasn’t huge, but neither is the hotel. We had some nice things like curried chicken, but at the same time I’m still questioning what the sweet brown pork gloop was! Pool area was clean and quiet. No rush to save sunbeds and a stack of them waiting just in case more are needed. In summary, if you’re looking for a quiet hotel, I would recommend it but would suggest self catering if you’re mobile. It’s a bit of a walk to the shops. All inclusive- although no issues with drinks, ice creams weren’t readily available, the bar menu wasn’t available when we wanted it, and the food is hit and miss. Avoid lunch! To the hotel- I would suggest looking at your food options especially at lunch time as it’s a disgrace. Also, making water available in the rooms would be a huge improvement.
Just returned from an amazing stay at the Hotel Dream Bocanya Village. Its set in a quiet area of Playa Blanca so if you want a quiet restful holiday this is the place for you. Our room was very spacious with a huge outdoor area and amazing view, the hot tub was really nice too. There was a great choice of food everyday and the food always tasted good. The drinks were nice also, cocktails were expertly made. The staff there were great and they are the biggest plus for the hotel, nothing was every too much trouble for them.
This was our second visit to Dream Bocayna Village and it was just amazing. They organised our transfer from the airport and arranged car hire for the following day. All of the staff are fantastic . Having worked in travel and hospitality for many years I know how difficult it can sometimes be to keep everyone happy and they do not fail at all. This place provides the perfect opportunity to relax and just enjoy your time. We love it so much we are going back again this year and staying for even longer. We cannot wait!
