This sophisticated resort is located on the south of the island of Lanzarote, in front of the sea and only 10 kilometres from Timanfaya National Park and around 900 metres from the picturesque fishing village of Playa Blanca. The hotel was designed as a typical village of Lanzarote, with romantic courtyards and traditional spots. In fact, the entrance is a replica of Teguise's church, Our Lady of Guadalupe. This hotel stands out for its singular architecture and its refined service, thus becoming an icon of high-end tourism. All rooms have a living room with a sofa as well as a complete range of features, such as a pillow and sheet menu as well as a private en-suite bathroom with exclusive toiletries.

Amazing Hotel right in the heart of the Rubicon Marina. Totally Recommend
No words can explain the greatness of this place. From management, reception staff, bar staff, the cleaners, the staff at breakfast were friendly and attentive always had a chat and always had a smile for everyone. Also the guys sweeping up outside all of them deserve such praise. Francesca on front desk was amazing we arrived late and explained we had some mobility issues and she managed to get us an amazing room on the ground floor close to all amenities a big thank you to her it was very appreciated and made a difference to our stay. We had chatted about being there for our 45 wedding anniversary and the hotel arranged some treats and a lovely bottle of bubbly, dressed our room with banner and balloons honestly cant thank you enough made our day special. Our room was very specious with nice lounge area, balcony and a very comfortable bed. Its location is practically on the Marina out the back door and you have everything you need. The cleanliness was exceptional our room was cleaned every day nice to come back to after a day by the lovely pool. Management had good control also of sunbeds being left all day with towels on clearing them if no return after 30 mins which I think is great. All the entertainment was very good of evening which special mention to the Pavarotti concert in the replica church was just amazing. Prices at the hotel for a 5 star were extremely reasonable. Breakfast had a wide variety of food and always plenty no matter what time you went. We enjoyed the spa which while small has everything you need. The whole ambience of the hotel is calm, comfortable and just a lovely place to be. Thank you Volcan Hotel carry on doing what your doing it obviously works.
Top hotel
We were last here 8 years ago and if anything it has got better and we loved it then. I think the quality comes into sharp focus when you compare with other hotels. This is a quality hotel with several pools, a cool calming atmosphere and superb food choices. If you cannot find something you like at breakfast then there is something wrong, the choice is incredible, fresh and bountiful. Love it and will be back.

Excellent hotel we minor issues
We first stayed in the Volcan back in 2016 and have returned every year for last four years with our daughter and her partner, my wife’s parents and my cousin and her husband at different times all of which have also revisited again. We love every aspect of the hotel. However two points are a little disappointing.
Firstly the Volcan reception roof designed as a volcano and as far as we are concerned why the hotel is called the Volcan. The volcano use to have orange lights running down it representing a lava flow. As far as we know they have not worked for at least four years but this maybe longer. Each time we visited we would ask when were the lights going to be fixed. We were told it was difficult to repair/replace. This year we were told to write a review as the management does not listened to comments raised by guests to reception staff.
The second issue is that there used to be to be a pool bar at the main pool but has been closed for at least two years and drinks are only available by going up to the two pools above or in the afternoon when a waiter would occasionally come around the pool. For a 5 star hotel this is not good. I will add the waiter Ahmed we saw most afternoons was excellent when he came round.

Enjoying life
We yet again came back to this establishment and again was not disappointed. The staff were exceptional as was the accommodation The breakfast and evening meals again excellent and I challenge anyone to say they cannot get anything they like There is enough to do outside of the hotel with many restaurants and drinking holes We will be returning next year .

Family holiday
Great experience at this hotel last week. Staff lovely very accommodating for my family. We celebrated a 30th birthday and staff went above and beyond to ensure the day was special. Clean rooms, great food, great location. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit playa Blanca.
