This sophisticated resort is located on the south of the island of Lanzarote, in front of the sea and only 10 kilometres from Timanfaya National Park and around 900 metres from the picturesque fishing village of Playa Blanca. The hotel was designed as a typical village of Lanzarote, with romantic courtyards and traditional spots. In fact, the entrance is a replica of Teguise's church, Our Lady of Guadalupe. This hotel stands out for its singular architecture and its refined service, thus becoming an icon of high-end tourism. All rooms have a living room with a sofa as well as a complete range of features, such as a pillow and sheet menu as well as a private en-suite bathroom with exclusive toiletries.

Fantastic stay at Hotel LIVVO Volcan Lanzarote.
Another fantastic stay at Hotel LIVVO Volcan Lanzarote. This was our 2nd time at this hotel, with our 2 young boys. We were previously there in Easter 2025. It's a beautiful hotel, great location. Peaceful, but lots of amenities on the doorstep. Since our last stay, the large pool area near the restaurant was noticeably refreshed - a superb pool! Little things like the water and ice machines were really welcome! There were always pool loungers available in the middle of the day after our morning excursions. Room was tidy, clean and peaceful. Our only gripe was the a/c not really going below 24 C but a small issue. Food was great - plenty of (too much ;) choice. The staff were absolutely wonderful as before. Big thanks in particular to Abraham, Mercedes and Josue - so great with our boys. Really made the stay extra special. I am sure we'll be back.

Excellent Hotel and overall calm family holiday
This hotel has an innate sense of calmness which you feel immediately on arrival. The church with monks singing set the scene from the get go.
Service was always excellent. As an example upon arrival we had been given two adjoining rooms each with a child bed in, our porter immediately organised and corrected for us. This meant our children had their own beds which in most hotels has not been the case, usually Shari g a pull out sofa or similar. We travelled as two families, my parents and my wife and kids (7 and 10) Location on the marina meant always places to walk or see with a market on a Wednesday and a Saturday both of which close at 2pm.
We stayed half board with a sea view room. There was some building work going on in a nearby hotel which over the pool fountain and people is indistinguishable. There is no music by the pool which I really liked and there was never a rush for sun beds. There was a large booking (roughly 12 guests) towards the back end of our stay first week of Aug that kept putting towels down early 8 am or similar with majority unused till 1PM or not used at all, quite frankly they should be embarrassed as every other guest was very courteous of each other. We always found a bed even arriving at any of the pools at 11AM.
We had a sea view room 407 which was partially blocked by foliage, I think the best views are on the level above which you get if book as Club Volcan. I never got sight of this area as it’s restricted to those guests but we met one of the guests at the jewellery making class in the hotel (highly recommend) and the lady said she thinks it really good value for money with afternoon tea and open bar between certain times.
Half board gave us access to the La Florida restaurant, breakfast was excellent, dinner was good especially on the more themed evenings (Asian and lavender my favourites). The kids did struggle a bit to find things for them, for example no pizza, nuggets however there was a lovely salad bar every evening with cucumbers, pepper, tomatoes and some warm options like potatoes or chips for them. Plenty of options for the adults. Big shout out to Abraham (AKA George Clooney) a waiter with so much experience the place would not be the same without him. He made every dining experience special and personal and works so hard to make sure our experience was perfect. Breakfast is open till 11 which is excellent, it meant we could sleep in and take our time getting our kids out of bed and ready.
Generally the kids had a great time in the massive Lago pool and didn’t need any further entertainment. We visited Rancho Texas which I reviewed separately. We went to the market which is worth the visit and right in the marina. The marina is full of restaurants (La Taverna we eat at twice for lunch to try something different). Went to the beach Playa Dorada, didn’t arrive till around mid day as took a late breakfast, it’s around 15 mins walk with shops on the way to buy water, grab an ice cream or even a spot of lunch. Playa dorada at mid day not have many sun beds available and it’s man made, worth bringing your own beach brolly and just going straight on the sand. There is an ok restaurant half way up the beach. I hear there may be a beach in the opposite direction without any amenities but might be worth a trip.
In general this hotel is one of those hotels I would definitely return too. It’s beautiful with a beautiful marina with excellent service which made for unforgettable family holiday. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great time at an amazing hotel
We went first week in August as a family of 7, in 4 rooms. We had 1 sea view room and 3 garden rooms but the hotel managed to put us all on the same corridor, which was really nice. It was our 5th visit to Playa Blanca but the first in a hotel. The hotel was amazing. The entrance through the church was spectacular and the rooms very spacious and well equipped. The pools were lovely and the main pool is massive. Really relaxed atmosphere with no music. No problem at all in getting sun beds though we were only by the pool in the afternoons. We went half board. There was plenty of choice and particularly liked the freshly cooked meat and fish options every night. The location is perfect too. Right at the end of marina and a 15-20 minute walk to Playa Dorada. We all gad a great time and will definitely be back.

Relaxing family time and fab staff.
Ive just returned from Hotel LIVVO Volcán Lanzarote, after a ten night stay with my husband and 6 year old daughter. I was very impressed!
Atmosphere: very chilled and relaxed. Always available sun loungers. As it’s not all inclusive, perhaps that eliminates the heavy drink crowd. As there is no slides etc in the pool it eliminates many teenagers. My 6 year old daughter has an absolute ball and I found all the guests courteous, the children well behaved, the couples are in love and everyone is in a good mood - sure we’re on holiday!
Suite: we had booked a suite as it was a special occasion. We had an issue with our room after the first night and discussed this with reception. After a quick chat with the manager we were promptly given another suite, a nicer one even more so, and we delighted at the efficiency of everything.
Breakfast: stunning! What a display! From the handmade omelettes, the option to make a mimosa / Bellini / Bloody Mary…. The hotel caters for all palettes. I am often a hard woman to impress and I was very impressed.
Lunch: we ate at the hotel for lunch everyday. Food is pricey . Wrap & chips €20 etc however all the food is tasty and the staff happily invented ‘chicken fingers and French fries’ for my 6 year old daughter. (Goujons and chips to us in Ireland).
Entertainment: there is entertainment every evening for one hour. I thoroughly enjoyed the drumming workshop and Aquagym, paint and sip, and the Pavarotti tribute in the church was one of the most stunning evenings I was ever at, really special. The Latin sisters had me in my feet and dancing and everyone I witnessed was exceptionally talented.
Kids entertainment: be aware, kids club is only on twice a week 11-1 if your child would like to attend.
Spa: my family through enjoyed the kids hour in the hydrotherapy suite (one trip is included in your stay). I also took up a 30 min ‘just relax’ offer for back massage and head massage and it was sensational!
Staff: there was a few staff who went above and beyond A) Hassan in the bar - from his talent at making cocktails, to swapping effortlessly in and out of languages, he is an absolute gentleman and a real asset to the hotel.
B) Abraham at breakfast - this gentleman has a secret talent to make all families feel special and all children feel like they’re a star. He identified my shy little one, and gently asked questions and chatted about her toys. Every morning he remembers every family and swaps effortlessly into their language. He is an absolute asset to the hotel.
C) Nina at lunch - she is an absolute lady. She brings happiness to every tables, knows her guests inside out and her attention to detail is wonderful.
Location: a stroll away from the marina, with plenty of places to go for dinner.
All in all, and I don’t say this lightly, a fantastic stay and we’ll be booking to come back next summer. See you guys then!

Another Fantastic Stay at this Superb Hotel.
This was our second stay at the Volcán, this time once again in the Club Adults Only area, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We booked directly with the hotel and made a few polite requests before our arrival, all of which were kindly accommodated.
Everything about this hotel is exceptional. The staff are warm, friendly, and always willing to help, making you feel genuinely welcome throughout your stay. The rooms are spacious and immaculate, the location is perfect, and the food is outstanding.
The Club Adults Only experience is well worth it. Afternoon tea is a real treat, breakfast offers an incredible selection, and the open bar serves an excellent range of premium branded drinks. A special mention also goes to the delicious cocktails at the poolside bar, they were among the best we’ve had.
The high standards of service, cleanliness, and attention to detail make this a truly five-star experience. We had another fantastic stay and are already looking forward to returning again very soon.
