Just returned from 10 days at MYND B&B. Mixed experience…
Hotel location is good. Walking distance to both resort centre and marina (we preferred resort centre). Kids loved the pool and the two slides although small kept them well entertained. Grounds are very pretty and well maintained.
Overall hotel feels more like a 3 star than 4. The suite we booked for the four of us was snug, with a small rather uncomfortable double sofa bed for our two children. The water stations were nearly always out of service during our stay which was frustrating when you’re expecting to be able to use them. Breakfast was adequate. Found there was nearly always a long queue for the pool bar, and difficult to get sun loungers near the main kids pool unless you reserve loungers early in the morning.
Mixed review, this is a nice hotel, well positioned, most of the staff are amazing, but the reception staff (excluding Stephanie) are a hit and miss, quite aggressive conversing with you, we had issue with our daughters room being flooded from the room above, after inspection we were told they had to move and the only room available was across the other side of hotel, so our eldery parents took the other room instead as we were all positioned alongside each other on request, for which we were grateful, then on our last night the hotel experienced a power cut for 2 and half hours, no announcement was made, some rooms had power, ours did not, we thought it may have had something to do with the previous flooding, after explaining this to reception staff the guy at the desk asked my husband to calm down?...he was not upset in explaining, but after having being told to calm down he then became annoyed, the receptionist then explained to me on my own that the whole hotel had issue, so lack of communication, followed by an accusation left us bewildered, the receptionist probably had already dealt with lots of other guests by that point, but this was unknown to us, this could have been swiftly dealt with by him explaining in the beginning of the conversation that it was a hotel wide problem! speaking to the manager the next morning didn't help much either, customer service skills are extremely lacking.
Breakfast is good a wide enough variety.
lunch is pretty basic.
dinners are a hit and miss.
cleaning 5 star.
pools and gardens very good, accommodation spacious and clean however our room frequently smelt of sewerage. Open plan with glass doors on shower and toilet. Food not to our liking no childrens menu. Much better value in resort. Facilities for older children poor,1 pool table with broken cues 1 pinball 1 hockey 1 arcade game. Goal post and small play area stuck in a corner like an after thought. Staff friendly and helpful .My wife suffered a bout of extreme vomiting and diarrhoea which lasted about 24 hrs I then promptly followed suit. On reflection I would not recommend or stay here again. Far superior 4stars in similar location.
Amazing hotel and a great holiday! We really enjoyed the kids entertainment and the animation team are brilliant. They really interact with the children and are very friendly throughout the day. All the staff have been fantastic and the hotel is lovely. The food is good quality and the swimming pools are great fun. Its a great hotel, we had a nice room in a good location, walking distance from the marina and beach. Would highly recommend.
Had a beautiful stay here. 11 of us, adults and young children. Hotel was lovely and clean and nothing was too much trouble for the cleaners. All staff were friendly. Pool bar queue however really let it down as it was always just 1 or 2 people on and they were very slow so you could be queuing for 20 minutes with only 4 people in front of you. I’d say that was the worst part. Breakfast was usual abroad breakfast, we did get some chocolate croissants from the supermarket down the road for 75c which were yummy. Didn’t stay in every night for food but the food we did have was decent. Location of hotel was nice, far enough away from the huddle and bussle, but only a 10-15 minute walk, if that. Rooms aren’t huge but for 2 adults and 2 kids they were ok. Pools were lovely, pool toilets were always spotless. No sun bed wars at all - plenty to go around and staff remove them if not back in 30 minutes and no towels on sunbeds before the pool opens, unless you’re sat on the bed! Would definately return. Only gripe is I left something important and expensive and trying to get in touch with the hotel since I’ve returned has proved impossible.
