Overall Rating: 4/5 Stars
What We Loved:
* Great Entertainment: The foam party on Thursday was absolutely amazing for the children!
* BBQ Night: The food on BBQ night was fantastic and a real highlight.
Areas for Improvement:
* Sunbed Shortage & Overzealous Enforcement: For a resort with nearly 400 rooms, there simply aren't enough sunbeds around the pools. While we appreciate having a 30-minute towel removal rule for reserved/unattended beds, enforcement went too far. In one instance, my family was actively in the pool and I stepped away to the restroom for less than 5 minutes, only to return to a lifeguard about to strip our towels. Guests shouldn't feel like they can't even go for a swim or use the restroom without losing their spot.
Verdict:
Overall, we still had an amazing family holiday, but unfortunately, we wouldn't return due to the ongoing sunbed issues and food monotony
We had a fantastic last minute break in August 2026. First up the staff are wonderful. Having read some previous reviews I was worried about where our room would be. My son doesn’t always like to be out in the sun and my mum struggles with mobility. Even though I had only booked the week before, the lovely Sote who works on reception did all she could when I emailed asking for a ground floor appointment near the Maris pool. It was perfect! We had a large terrace with two sun beds, 2 chairs and a table and meant that we could stay round the apartment but still be right next to the pool. She also went above and beyond to help us get a late checkout. It wasn’t the cheapest I had paid but as we weren’t getting picked up til 6.30pm was worth every penny and you can continue using all the facilities until you leave. Sote really made a difference in making the stay relaxing. She was so helpful and deserves a special mention. The junior suites are really spacious and nicely decorated with a seperate living room area with bed settee. There are no doors however on the internal rooms and the toilet and showers are in cubicles with frosted glass doors so do lack a bit of a privacy! However wasn’t a problem and certainly wouldn’t put me off booking again. The food is excellent. We were AI and we sat in the over 13s restaurant which never felt busy even in the height of summer. The staff again are wonderful, chatty and really add to the great vibe of the place. It is waiter service (apart from breakfast) and we had no issues getting drinks and enjoyed a chilled bottle of wine with our evening meal each night. Soft drinks on pump are branded but not self self-service so you have to order but waiter service/bar service is quick. Food was of a really good standard and well cooked and always something to choose even for fussy eaters! The only meal that lacked a bit was breakfast, the sausages weren’t very appealing and there was no waffles (much to my son’s dismay!) or porridge but still plenty of fresh and tasty options. I’d read lots of negative reviews about not getting sunbeds. There were always plenty until 10.30 ish however you needed to be down by your beds by about 8.30am and stay there if you wanted one in the shade. Only one day did I see the lifeguard removing towels and that’s because there were people who spoke to her as they couldn’t find a bed and they had been unattended a long time which is fair enough. We had no issues going for breakfast/lunch etc as long as you are back in good time. The pools are not huge but there are 4 pools areas so never get too busy. We used the Maris pool where all the activities are but there is also a family pool (with children’s section) a large splash park which was great and had a foam party on a Thursday and an adult only pool. Obviously having a 15 year old we couldn’t use this area but I went down one day and it is lovely with a fab chill out area! The entertainment was great we alternated between the outdoor bar with singers. These were great and got everyone up dancing and played all the classics. We also visited the Maris Theater, this has professional shows and entertainment team led shows. The ones we watched were really good. This is a brilliant hotel and I would highly recommend for the excellent service, day and night entertainment and food. It is also 6 min drive from the airport and 5 minute walk to the beach (there are a few bars and restaurants and a large Spar) which was an added bonus. We will definitely be back, we had a brilliant time. Thanks to everyone at the hotel!
Travelled here with 6 people - 2 rooms We had 2 children and 2 adults in one room and 2 adults in another room. The room for the kids was the sitting room, they made the sofa into a bed and then we had a pull up bed. My daughter complained the sofa was very uncomfortable so be careful if you are planning on using the sofa as a bed. I’ve actually stayed in this hotel before and someone in our party has been to this hotel 5 times before. So positives-
Now for the I wouldn’t call negatives but things that could do with improvement-
The pools are so small compared to the amount of rooms there is. Looking at other hotels the pools are a lot bigger and several to choose from. This place only has 2 if you have children and both are very very busy.
We did really enjoy our stay and this was our 7th visit to Lanzarote we’ll be back :-)
Cristina, Andrea, Suan where absolutely amazing to me and was like an auntie and uncle to me
What a hotel!!!! Arrived here in the 7th August and received the warmest welcome from Beatriz. She professionally and patiently explained everything we needed to know about the hotel. The whole hotel is absolutely spotless everywhere, constant cleaning to the walkways, even the pool floor was scrubbed!! Rooms cleaned everyday, towels and beds changed, but you do have an option at check in to alter the regularity of cleaning. We stayed here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and intended to just relax at the pool all day. We stayed in Block 5 on the ground floor, room 5017. Beautiful room with everything we needed, straight out the patio doors onto the terrace with our own sun loungers and a few steps to the adult pool. Very relaxing, no need to reserve bed and the Blue Bar was run efficiently by the friendly barman. We mainly used the Poseidon restaurant during our stay. Always greeted and seated by pleasant staff. We mostly only ate in the hotel at breakfast and lunchtime. Food fantastic all the time hot and tasty, and I particularly loved the huge variety of cheeses at breakfast. We used the snack bar once, perfectly adequate with burgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets, chips etc. Alas, as we stayed at the adult pool so we had little interaction with the animation team. Any staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. If we needed directions, they take you to where you need to go not just pointed the right direction. Overall, this is the finest 4 star hotel I've ever stayed at and already planning our return next year
