Gloria Izaro Club Hotel

Lovely relaxing holiday. From arrival to departure. Staff can not do enough for you they are polite, helpful and friendly. Apartment was a good size, clean and cleaners came in everyday. Sunbeds were available when we wanted them at beginning of day. However some towels were on first thing and no one came until pm or not at all. Not really fair to do that if you do not intend to use them! The entertainment on on an evening was of a good standard. Just 2 days when no entertainment. The young man who did poolside entertainment eas a joy to watch and kept us sll entertained with his acrobatics. He never stopped smiling and invited people to join in activities during the day and doing night-time quizzes before main entertainment. He did not hassle anyone to join in but politely asked. Pool, darts, archery, football etc. Excellent 10/10 for him alone. Every member if staff we came across at this hotel gave brilliant service. Reception staff available to help with sny queries. Food breakfast and evening meal plenty of choice at both meals. If anything food could have been a bit hotter at times. Thank you everyone this was our first visit hopefully not our last. It was at top of a hill but steady stroll up the hill with shops was not a problem. The road from marina was very steep but coming up the other way by the shops was ok.

Love this place! We travel off peak when there are very few kids around, which suits us. It's located up a fairly steep hill from the oldtown but there are plenty of cheap busses and taxis around if you don't fancy the walk. Staff throughout are friendly and helpful. Couldn't praise them highly enough. Accommodation consists of Bedroom, bathroom and Livingroom with a small kitchen area and seating area, complete with TV which currently has UK channels among other non English ones. Free Wi Fi which we find can sometimes be a bit weak. Has aircon which is great. Ground floor rooms have a small patio area out front with table chairs and small pullout clothes rack. Upstairs rooms have a balcony with same. Quiet relaxed atmosphere around the complex with sunbeds around the pool but also has sunbeds/a solarium away from the pool area. Buffet breakfast has just about everything you could ask for, whether continual or full Irish/English, with a chef in attendance to cook you a fresh omelette. Always plentiful and always excellent. Evening meal also a self serve buffet with a chef in attendance to cook you a fresh steak/fish or carve you something from the nightly roast. Always plenty of variety, salads, fish, chicken, rice, veg etc. There are plenty of restaurants down the old town if you feel like a change of evening meal and a nice brunch place just around the corner if you miss the breakfast cut off time. There's a local bus stop just around the corner for the airport, Playa Blanca, Arrecife etc. Beach and local shopping centre within walking distance, with a decent local supermarket and pharmacy close by. Not the cheapest place to stay in Lanzarote, but we like what we get for our money. We have probably been here 8/10 times by now and are returning again in early December, which is about the best recommendation I can give.

Good location, comfortable beds, Half board - good choice for Breakfast & dinner. Entertainer was good, with both daytime & evening entertainment. No problem getting a sun lounger. Friendly staff
