Just a short distance from the beach, these pleasant and charming apartments are located in a wonderful setting in Lanzarote island, in Tías municipality, where guests can either relax and spend soothing holidays or find all the action they need at the nearby Puerto del Carmen tourist town, around 4 km away. Guests might enjoy a good night's sleep and a comfortable stay at these apartments that come with everything necessary such as a fully-equipped kitchenette. Moreover, each of them is simply but beautifully decorated in a traditional and cheery style and enjoy a lot of natural light and some have a balcony or a terrace, where guests can relax with a soft drink and surrounded by their beloved ones. Additionally, there are some rooms with accessible features, ideal for those who might need them. Everyone might enjoy the snack bar by the pool and families will appreciate the children's pool.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed self-catering, in a 1 bed apartment with our 2 girls aged 6 and 4 for 10 nights in July. The hotel is really clean and grounds well maintained. The apartment had everything we needed, air con worked fine if you kept the doors & windows closed of course. Cleaners came in every second day. You are given a Whatsapp number on arrival for any requests which I used twice and I have to say the response was rapid. Staff are professional, welcoming and happy to help. Our girls loved the swimming pool it was just the right size for them and they made lots of friends. We used the supermarket on site a few times and I also used the washing machines for our beach towels a couple of times, the supermarket sells individual washing pods which was great - buy your washing machine coin from reception, I think it was 4 euros. There is also a little coffee machine outside the supermaket if you wanted a coffee before the pool bar opens at 11am, I had one a couple of times and it was fine. We done our food shop in Lidl and got a taxi back, ate mostly in our apartment but had a few good meals out, there are so many gorgeous restaurants in PDC. You can pay for breakfast or dinner separately in the hotel restaurant, I thought the breakfast was really good value for money, 12 euros per adult and children under 12 years old eat free. The location for us was good, we like a walk so didnt mind the 10-15 minute stroll to the closest shops and beach etc. Taxis are everywhere so never had an issue getting one and if you ask reception to call one for you they turn up within minutes - wait outside for it to come. As soon as we arrived I liked the vibe, it was clean and felt safe for our girls. The ground around the pool is a little bit rough underfoot (I guess its good from a non slip perspective) and it gets very hot so I was glad that I took pool shoes for my kids to save the soles of their feet. The kids "disco" is actually more of a pool party, it starts at 5pm with some music and dancing at the baby pool for 45 minutes. My girls joined in once and then weren't fussy for it after that. We either went out in the evenings to play mini golf or have a wander around or we did go to the evening entertainment a few times which was actually really good with the singers getting everyone invoved, my girls enjoyed it. All in all, its a good hotel and we have booked to return next year.
Stayed in a villa with pool. Everything was catered for. Cleaners 3 times a week over a 7 day period. Pool levels checked every other day. Main pool, not sun beds for size of main pool. Music loud. Food nice but very limited on puddings tho. My only complaint was the air con was rubbish and WiFi in and out but overall was a nice stay. Oh the beach was a 8 min walk and lovely.
We were here for fourth year in a row. A little bit lazy on the rubbish collection side, overflowing bins etc. The noise from the bingo, then a dj is very irritating. The bingo guy making irritating noises to get the crowd going. Seriously. Good to see the ‘senior’ lifeguard back to watch for towels on sun beds which were vacant. David in the kids club brilliant as always. Just to note, our fire alarm went off at 4.30am. If this happens ring the whatsapp number, as the reception was closed, with nobody visible in the complex
we are in our 40's and our kids are 6 and 13, The hotel is lovely and everything you need onsite shop, washing machines, breakfast and tea if you wanted to pay if self catering but there is lots of choice and its actually proper spanish foods which is great. the air con is good not super powerful but keep door shut and shut curtain it will stay cool even when it did get too 42c 2 pools - 1 is so quite and relaxing and the main pool was just too much for us to be honest but the bar snacks were great and overall ok. Beds were being reserved from 8am onwards but certain life guards did take towels off and was strict but just not often enough. the hotel is 4-5 euro's away from strip and 5-6 euro from the old town but its a good 15-20 min walk to any other bars restaurants and so on. disappointments just the location of the hotel PDC Strip full of irish bars and loads of restaurants but its same same everywhere not authenticity. The DEVON restaurant was the best in los picalos, beach is great 13.50e for 2 beds and brolly. Good time hotel no problems just PDC wasnt great to be honest
HPL located in a quiet area. From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to have a great holiday. All team members here, reception, cleaners, estates etc are all so friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the quiet part of the complex and it was lovely. The apartment was cleaned every other day. The grounds and pool kept clean. And plenty of sun beds around the pools. We either made our own meals or went out so cannot write about the food but we did walk past the restaurant a few times during meal times and the smells were lovely. We ordered a wedding anniversary package which was a basket of fruit. Absolutely stunning a piece of art and we managed to eat all the fruit. The apartment itself is enough for what you need on a holiday with a private terrace area. Inside there are all the utensils, power points, comfy bed and comfy sofa area. And so clean. It’s only a 5 min walk from the beach, 10 min walk to the start of the strip. 10 min walk to Los Pocillos Lucky that you have a choice to walk on an evening either to Los Pocillos or to the strip. Restaurants and bars with a couple of supermarkets close by. We stayed here over 30 years ago as boyfriend & girlfriend. Last year we chose to come back to Lanzarote and chose HPL, we booked again for 2026 and have just rebooked to stay here in 2027. Love HPL couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.
