- Pocillos Playa

This lovely hotel is in Playa de los Pocillos, steps from one of Lanzarote's most popular beaches, on the south coast of the island. As well as the beach, the hotel is within walking distance of the laid back resort of Los Pocillos. If you're looking for more bustle or lively entertainment, the major resort of Puerto del Carmen is a short drive away.
At Hotel Pocillos Playa, you can spend a day soaking up the sun before cooling off in the outdoor pool. • Close to the beach • Quiet location • Close to the lively center of Puerto del Carmen
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Aida the entertainer ( she remembers everybody's names and is always chatty). The food was varied, they tailored the food to a different theme each day. The hotel is quiet and close to the beach and the main strip of shops and bars.
Food is great rooms are clean and we had a great time at the hotel. Reception were helpful I sent them an excursion voucher via WhatsApp and they printed out for me within 20 mins. The hotel is quiet to what we are used to so great for relaxing the activities are few but fun and entertaining. There is some sort of entertainment on most nights but overall we enjoyed.
Best food of any place I’ve stayed at, did not eat out once. Rooms are very clean. Nice atmosphere. The rep is so funny and energetic, it’s contagious. Great entertainment and has everything you need!!
Fantastic hotel ! Fabulous choice of food. Best I’ve had for All Inclusive. So much choice. Clean rooms with towels changed every other day. All staff are great. Got to mention Aida the entertainment lady. She’s a star. So funny with a great sense of humour. Knew so many guests by first name. Always happy and a delight to listen to. Deffo will be back xx
We recently stayed at this hotel for the second time and overall had a very enjoyable holiday. There were several positive changes since we last stayed that noticeably improved the experience. Its in a really good relaxed area with a nice walk to the beach. The rooms were well equipped, and we particularly liked the safe, which is free to use and can be locked and unlocked using your room key card. This was a simple but very convenient feature. One of the biggest improvements was that the music around the pool was switched off for the last few days of our stay. The quieter atmosphere gave the whole place a much more relaxing feel. When the music was playing, however, it was often too loud and the same playlist was repeated day after day or even the same 10 songs on time and time again. While staff would turn it down if asked, the selection really needs reviewing as the repeated tracks are not suited to the majority of guests. The food was noticeably better than last time, with dishes appearing to be prepared with a little more care. The salmon served at lunch was particularly enjoyable, and the accompanying sauce was excellent. There was also a good effort to replenish items throughout service, with more food being brought out as needed. Breakfast was generally good, although it's worth noting that the proper back bacon was only available as part of the Eggs Benedict. The bacon on the main buffet was a little 'unusual' and not to everyone's taste. The pool area was well managed. The hotel stopped guests reserving sunbeds before 9am and enforced the rule during our stay. In reality, there was only one day when beds were difficult to find, but it did help keep the area tidy and available for everyone. There are new sunbeds and chairs at the seating area since our first visit. Oddly the same umbrellas tho. There was a shortage of umbrellas but they did bring more out but I would say that some need replacing. The clientele was predominantly English, although there was a good mix of other nationalities, which created a pleasant atmosphere. Would still say pay for the pool side rooms. Not convinced the 'premium' prestige is worth it tho - you do get your own sunbed area and access to premium spirits but the beds are not near the bar or the pool
Overall, we enjoyed our time here and would happily return.
Areas for Improvement Tables around the pool and seating areas need to be cleaned more regularly. A quick flick with the hosepipe in the morning is not really enough Seating area needs its own umbrellas Bins in the pool area need emptying more frequently. Chipped glasses in the bar should be removed and replaced promptly. The poolside music needs a complete review, both in terms of volume and variety. Hearing the same playlist every day became quite frustrating. Pool staff were inconsistent. The 'older' lifeguard appeared far more proactive, while the younger female lifeguard often spent long periods sitting down and seemed less engaged.
Despite these issues, we had a very good holiday and felt the positives outweighed the negatives. With a few small improvements, this could be an excellent hotel experience.
