Idyllically located alongside the long golden stretch of Playa de Los Pocillos this hotel is perfect if you're after some serious beach time. The buildings of this hotel were inspired by local artist, Cesar Manrique ensuring that the hotel reflects the beauty of Lanzarote.
The Seaside Los Jameos Playa boosts some excellent facilities including two spectacular freshwater outdoor pools incorporated within the landscaped palm-garden; ensuring you unwind and relax in the Canarian sun.
The comfortable rooms are fully furnished with satellite TV, large bathroom with bath, fridge/mini bar, hairdryer, telephone and balcony or terrace.
A true oasis of tranquility can be found at the spa and wellness centre where guests can enjoy the bio sauna, steam bath and outdoor Finnish sauna free of charge. An extensive range of face and body treatments are also available including scrubs, cream baths and massages. Once you've finished being pampered why not relax in the indoor or outdoor relaxation areas or refresh in the experience shower and plunge pool.
An extremely varied entertainment programme is on offer at the Seaside Los Jameos Playa including golf, live music and acts and a free introductory 'sniff-dive' in the hotel's pool from the certified diving instructor who visits once a week. If you decide to venture further out then the resort of Puerto del Carmen is host to an array of appetizing restaurants, exciting shops and quirky bars. As well as providing a haven for relaxing on the long sandy stretch of beach it also hosts an array of watersports and amenities including a theme park and the biggest zoo in Lanzarote.
Superbly situated just 20 metres from Playa del Carmen's golden beach this contemporary hotel reflects the Canarian beauty of Lanzarote with its atrium style lobby and landscaped palm-garden. The two large attractive pools, bio sauna, tennis courts and entertainment program are just a few of the amenities to enjoy.
This was our 4th visit to Los Jameos. Fabulous hotel, spotlessly clean, food excellent. Premium package worth the extra money for the room bar ,branded drinks. Location spot on, it will be difficult to better this hotel.
This is the best hotel on Lanzarote. After ten visits it just seems to get better and better. The location is perfect as are the rooms and the cuisine. My husband has mobility problems and nothing is too much trouble for the staff either helping him to his seat in the restaurant or carrying his food back to the table for him. The only criticism is that after the removal of the old pool bar the waiting time for a drink at the other bar is often over half an hour without any shade. This is not a good advertisement for a hotel wanting 5 star rating.
Just returned from another wonderful holiday at this Hotel. The Staff are so welcoming and attentive, providing Cava Balloons and a cake for my birthday 🎂.Plus Carva in the room. Food here is excellent.Show cooking is amazing, whilst Salads are Superb.Desserts look amazing and taste delicious. Our Grandson enjoyed the Disco, and the Staff worked hard at entertaining the children.Sometimes had to wait a long time in Bellingo Bar for a drink and felt sorry for Staff as they needed more servers. The Piano Bar was great and enjoyed the entertainment there. Pool are was always clean, and saw towels being removed from loungers which had been reserved but not in use.A good touching in fairness. The slides have been completed since our last visit and are a great hit with everyone. Our room was spacious with fresh water every day, whilst hairdryer was one of the best I’ve had on holiday, All the Staff here are attentive and professional attending to all our needs.Cannot wait to return.
We had a very enjoyable week at Seaside Los Jameos and overall we look back very positively on our stay. I travelled with my child and we both had a great time. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained, the rooms and common areas were clean, and there was always plenty of choice at the buffet. After a full week, I personally found the food started to become a little repetitive, but the overall quality and variety were certainly good.
The hotel is also in a good location, with the beach very close by. One thing we did miss was having a dedicated hotel area or facilities at the beach. This would have been a nice addition, especially for guests staying on an all-inclusive basis.
One thing that did genuinely bother us was the reservation of sun loungers around the pool. Even before 8 a.m., many loungers were already "reserved" with towels, despite signs around the hotel clearly stating that reserving sun loungers is not allowed. Unfortunately, this rule did not seem to be enforced, meaning that many of the best spots were already taken very early in the morning. It would be great to see the hotel actively enforce its own policy, as this would make the pool area much fairer and more enjoyable for everyone.
Another area for improvement was the service at the pool bar. At times, it took quite a while to order even a simple soft drink or beer. When ordering cocktails, it also sometimes seemed that not everyone was equally confident in preparing them. Some of the female staff at this bar also came across as less friendly at times, while our experience with the male bartenders was noticeably more positive. Faster and more consistent service would definitely improve the pool bar experience.
Another small downside of the all-inclusive package is the room card system. There is no wristband to show that you are an all-inclusive guest. Instead, you have to present and scan your room key card every time you order a drink. The system works, of course, but it does slow things down and you don't always have your card with you when relaxing by the pool. Personally, I think a simple wristband would be easier and quicker for both guests and staff.
The hotel also attracts a noticeably large number of British guests. At times, it almost felt as though we were on holiday in England rather than Spain. This wasn't a problem for us, but it may be useful to know for people looking for a more international or Spanish holiday atmosphere.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday and would definitely consider Seaside Los Jameos a very good hotel. The positives clearly outweighed the negatives for us, and my comments are mainly suggestions for improvement rather than major complaints. For a one-week holiday with a child, we found it a very good choice. Personally, I probably wouldn't stay for two weeks, mainly because I think the food and overall experience might start to feel a little repetitive after that.
Lovely hotel in a great location. The food choices and quality was excellent. Our room was quite noisy, especially at night when trying to get the little one to sleep there were other guests shouting and screaming in the hotel corridors. Our maid service was very variable, some did a good job and others did the bare minimum, which had a real impact on the cleanliness of our room, especially floors. Overall, a good holiday, thank you
