Just returned from a week at this hotel. From the moment we arrived all staff were wonderful . Glass of fizz when checking in , good banter with the reception staff. Room very clean and kept clean throughout by Angela. Main hotel area kept clean. Very good choice of food , all staff in ding room so friendly and professional especially Romina . Bar staff very friendly and always smiling . We enjoy walking and walked to Cala D’Or ( about 35 /40 mins ) had to wait about 30 minutes for taxi back . We also walked to Porto Petro ( 35/ 40 mins ) but struggled to get a taxi back even though restuarant had phoned 4 times for one . Gave up and walked back . We would definitely recommend this hotel .
This was the 4th time here with my sister. Great holiday as always, food in buffet and restaurants excellent choice. Staff friendly, helpful and service with a smile especially from bar staff. A big thank you to Maru and all the staff for making sure we had a great time. Hopefully see you all next year
Our 3rd visit in 3 years didn't disappoint us because the standard has been set in this perfect of places. We spent a week here in Sept 2026 and took our Adult daughter with us and we had a fantastic holiday so relaxing and made welcome from the moment we arrived. The food continues to be at a very high standard and despite not being big drinkers we go all inclusive every time. The bar is sufficient for us serving a cold beer for me and a fruit based drink for the wife and our daughter. The pool area is clean and has plenty of beds for sun bathing. The rooms are very spacious and kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. The reception staff are very helpful and will guide you every step of the way. If you have mobility issues take my advice and request the main building as the walk around from the second building may prove difficult for some. Other than this you will not be disappointed The area of Cala Egos isn't to vast or busy so no issues there. The land train takes you into the busier Cala d Or . Hopefully in May we will return again work permitting but if don't make it We will definitely be there in 2028 and beyond.
The hotel has a very good location, set in a picturesque bay with turquoise water, right next to a small public beach. The biggest advantage is definitely the sea view, especially from the rooms. The atmosphere was pleasant and the hotel is a good place for a relaxing holiday.
It is worth knowing that around 90% of the guests were British, with the rest mainly German and French, so English is definitely the dominant language.
The food was varied and tasty, although most dishes were quite greasy. A lot of food was deep-fried, while there were relatively few boiled or lighter options. This may be a downside for guests who prefer lighter meals.
The room was cleaned every day, although not particularly thoroughly. There were also a few issues in the bathroom, including a toilet flush that did not work properly, a leaking shower head and a sink that kept getting blocked. I would recommend choosing a sea-view room, as the view really adds to the overall experience.
For a four-star hotel at this price, I expected a little more. There are not enough sun loungers around the pool for the number of guests, so you need to get up early to secure one. They are also placed very close together, which means there is little privacy. The paid Balinese beds are a good alternative, offering more space and comfort as well as a lovely sea view. There are also a few sun loungers with parasols on the public beach, but these are available for an additional charge.
The evening entertainment is rather basic. You can have a drink, sit back and listen to the singers or watch the performers, but there is no real party atmosphere. If you are looking for a lively, evening-focused hotel, this is probably not the right choice. The entertainment finishes relatively early and by around 10:30 pm the hotel is already very quiet.
The main building has only two small lifts, so there can be quite a wait during busy periods. We were also surprised by how salty the tap water was, so we used bottled water for brushing our teeth.
A big plus for the reception staff and bartenders, who were helpful and friendly. The restaurant service was less impressive. We sometimes had to wait quite a while to order drinks, and the staff did not always pay much attention to the guests. They were not rude, but there was a noticeable lack of engagement.
Overall, I had a good stay and enjoyed my time there. I probably would not choose this hotel again, as I expected a little more for the price, but I will remember the location, the view over the bay and the greenery surrounding the hotel.
We booked a sea-view suite in My Favourite Club. The room was perfect with a view to die for and extremely clean, but that's where the positives end unfortunately. Check in came with no guidance whatsoever, just told our room would be ready in 30 minutes and our bags would be taken to our room....that was it! The MFC is a complete waste of money. The private pool area has just 6 beds in the sun at the Fancy Bar level (which are reserved by 0700) and the tiny pool at the top level is freezing and mostly in the shade. The breakfast in the al a carte is excellent (sorry there was another positive) but the buffet restaurant was repetitive and not great. Did not enjoy the al a carte restaurants either but the Italian was the pick of the bunch. I complained about several issues to the MFC reception and he had absolutely zero interest in what I was saying. This was my second poor experience of an Aluasoul hotel and I have to say the Hyatt brand will not be getting any more of my business. Such a shame when they have the location like that. Very disappointing overall.
