The memory factory
So want to give this hotel a 5 as it hold so many precious memories for us as a family but gonna keep it simple for you to browse starting with pros and cons
Pro’s- Staff !! From reception to cleaning staff are brilliant but a special mention for the entertainment team as they work tirelessly morning to night and you know your children and grandchildren are in safe hands
Location - Ideal to access the beach (some steps) and the town’s main strip so can access bars and restaurants.
Food and drink - This will appear in both categories as they used some branded drinks in the AI package, ice creams were a hit with me. Food improved as week went on and the roast chicken was better than any in UK (fact)
Room - We had a studio and it was set slightly away from the rest but was lovely and quiet with a spacious patio area that caught sun all morning Shower was large but with a pebble floor….erm different
Pools - 3 to choose from with a separate children’s pool so minimised the noise a little Main pool had a good vibe with music on in background and lots of sunbeds Quiet pool is just that Always spotless
Cons- Family and adult seperate hotels, as a couple as part of an family we may want to go and have some us time buried the adult part and don’t think we were meant to be there as not part of AI and to be honest was soulless
Entertainment- Lack of external acts and i tried to love a solo saxophone player over backing music but that ain’t gonna keep me fixed (no offense to the act who’s just making a living) Entertainment team try hard but again at night I’d love to have a bit of a dance but can’t dance to another quiz
Room - Had a kitchen and microwave but no tea towel so how do i was and dry cups and glasses? Cleaners didn’t remove plates that were in room with welcome food so that could attract ants…..this is a minor thing but for a hotel that has a history of ant issues it could be resolved
Food and drink - Had a think here and gonna leave it blank as to be honest the food improved over the week and we all ate well
Overall - Great hotel that offers a lot to families, we wouldn’t come as a couple or book the adults only as I said earlier that seemed quite boring But a a family we really loved it and had a fantastic week making memories

Great family hotel
This hotel is in an amazing location, it really is stunning, with beautiful beaches on your door step. The rooms are spotlessly clean with lots of space with a lounge/kitchen area. The staff are absolutely amazing and the entertainment/animation team are the best I’ve seen. They work tirelessly to make your stay fun and engaging. The children all adore them and they become their friends. The food was varied and great value. This was our 3rd visit and I am sure it will not be our last!

Accessibility review - our 5th year here and won’t be our last!
We’ve now been to this hotel 5 years running, and it gets better every single time. PRO’S:
- Accessible for wheelchair users. Everywhere is ramped, wheelchair assistance available, accessible ground floor rooms with wet rooms, wheelchair lift in/out of the pool, raised sunbeds and chairs/tables to be more accessible.
- we stayed this year in M104 - all ramp accessible but 3 steps to the main door. M103 had no steps, as did M101/102.
- The animation team is THE BEST you will get, and I mean that. I never seen children so well entertained and taken care of, with such a variety of activities. They make the hotel what it is and work tirelessly. Activities include T shirt/bag painting on a Sunday (costs €6-€12) - sip and paint(mini canvases etc), Boules, funny games, darts, face painting, pool disco, wizard day and more.
-sensory room with ball pit and bubble tank available to book out at reception
- Staff overall are just so friendly - cleaners, restaurant staff, maintenance staff. They are all just wonderful and do their jobs so well. Rooms are always clean, place is near enough spotless which says a lot for such a busy resort.
- Location is prime - hotel is right on cala Ferrera beach (however I wouldn’t recommend this beach for wheelchair accessibility) - there’s a small convenience shop right opposite the hotel, Cala Ferrera strip has pharmacy, shops, restaurants, all within 5 min walk. Mestral restaurant and Andy’s bar are great locals, Eras bar is great for cocktails, Carabels is a Kareoke bar literally almost opposite the hotel, and Cala D’or centre is 5 min away in a taxi or around 15 min walk if you can manage.
- snack bar by the kids pool serves most of the day for easy quick snack meals (nuggets, chips, burgers, pizza)
- there’s a themed party once a week - the flower power or the white party - candy floss, saxophonist, 360 photo opportunity etc.
- the dance shows and interactive quiz dance shows performed by the animation team (and choreographed by Lorena!) are just phenomenal and really stand out.
POSSIBLE ‘cons’:
- bar opens 10:30am, pools open 10am - breakfast starts at 8am so there’s sometimes a bit of time to pass before the day gets started.
- food: when it’s good it’s REALLY good. Chicken and swordfish were amazing n according to family. But when it’s bad it’s really not great and definitely standard AI food. It’s often swapped out/fresh batches out very frequently and staff are really on their game in the restaurant.
- Mini disco starts 8:30 - against dinner starts 6:30 so you may have a bit of time to pass, but the fun park on Cala Ferrera strip is great to keep kids entertained. Trampolines, bouncy castles, go karts etc.
Timings: Breakfast starts from 8 Lunch - 1-3 Dinner starts at 6:30 Snack bar is 10:30am - 5:30 pm daily (may be 5pm) Pool bar is 10:30am-11pm Mini disco 8:30pm and main entertainment starts around 9/9:15pm Room check out 12pm Local recommendations: La bottega (tapas) in Cala D’or Cala D’or market on a Sunday Eve from 7pm Mestral - Cala Ferrera Eras - cocktail bar Cala Ferrera Hollywood - Cala D’or (good food) Marina restaurants - seafood and cocktails Cala Ferrera pharmacy - €12 perfumes 150ml and they’re amazing (just trust me on this!)
A HUGE thank you to the wonderful staff who make this place what it is - George & team on reception, Fran, Salma&the amazing bar staff, the friendly cleaners and restaurant staff that work SO hard, Aline who makes sure everyone is happy and is just a ray of sunshine, and of course the long term entertainment staff Lorena, Armand, Diego, and Laeti - this year the animation team had new additions who were just ABSOLUTLEY incredible. Romy, Andra, Steffi, Geo, Alina couldn’t be better at their jobs. My son has taken to them as if he’s known them for years, their energy and passion is beyond any other resort you’ll find.

Great week
Really positive and fun holiday. My daughter loved it. Staff were exceptional at all stages. Only slight recommendation would be maybe a few more food options for kids I.e - yogurt pots, pancakes more often for breakfast, more cereal Options.
