Had an enjoyable holiday at this hotel. The cleanliness was second to none, the food was exceptional and the staff were amazing, so friendly and extremely hard working. The seaview from our room was really lovely, but the beach was a disappointment. It’s a very short walk on to the beach, but we considered the beach dangerous as there are big slippery boulders all along the edge of the water with sheer drops either side. I would therefore not recommend for older people or families with young children. However, the hotel pool was great which made up for that.
We have just returned from 10 nights all inclusive at this hotel and it was genuinely the BEST I have stayed at.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely incredible- and we even got a welcome drink of fizz which was a lovely touch. Our bedroom was brilliant and the hotel is so clean.
The restaurant has a daily themed night e.g. Spanish, Greek, Italian, Moroccan, Asia, Seafood etc and there was always so much choice. The food was always tasty and the all inclusive drinks were great too. Brands were included e.g. Aperol, Gordon’s gin (plain and pink) but if you wanted more premium then there was an additional cost. For example, Havana 3 rum included, Havana 7 rum was extra. We have holidayed in Greece for the last few years and brands were always extra so this was lovely to be included as standard at this Majorcan hotel.
The pool was fantastic- clean and warm. Sun beds were plentiful and all had sun for parts of the day. The beach is about 20 seconds walk down some steps at the side of the pool.
We travelled with Jet2Holidays and did do two trips from the hotel: Drach Caves and the day trip to Palma- both of which I would recommend.
There is a spar shop and mini supermarket approx 3 mins walk down the hill with the usual- drinks, food bits, hats and inflatables etc if needed for day trips. The hotel has a water unit on each floor near the lifts so take a refillable bottle and just top up to save you buying bottles.
We would 100% recommend coming here and would love to return- we will also look to stay in other Iberostars now in other places based on how brilliant the hotel was!
Thank you too to the staff who helped me practice Spanish! Often, as a Brit, you can try to practice and they will reply in English so I was grateful that staff took the time to converse with me.
Just returned from an excellent week All Inclusive at the Iberostar waves hotel. Everything about this hotel was excellent, from check-in to departure we could not have asked for any better. At check in we received a complementary drink which is always very nice. Hotel was very clean, and our side sea view room on the 4th floor was well provided with toiletries, towels and a free to use safe, the air conditioning in the room was excellent and it was essential during our stay as we were getting 28 degrees during the night, it was also very quiet. Meals during our stay were very varied and we always found two or three dishes to choose from, then the sweets were even better. A slight complaint is some food was not as warm as we would have liked, but we have yet to find a buffet restaurant that serves really warm food all the time. Drinks on the AI package were good but certain premium brands are extra. Sun beds were usually available at around 8-30am then they started to get towels on them, but we always managed to find some around the pool area. The pool was always clean and the water was nice and warm, great result, and the lifeguard was always very friendly and we had no problem in changing towels every day. Evening entertainment was okay and finishes around 10.30, we did not see all the acts as we ventured out to the centre of Cala Minor a few nights which is only a 15 min walk from the hotel The hotel is situated on a rocky part of the coast line which I found excellent for snorkelling, but a bit tricky to enter and exit as it’s very rocky, the sandy beach is only a 10 minute stroll along the coast. Finally the staff who were all excellent and too many to name but we found Rebecca to be very good, along with the assistant manager Ellena who was very approachable and was very hands on in every area of the hotel. Definitely look to return and we would highly recommend this hotel for a nice relaxing holiday
Location was quite with good access to beach, the atmosphere was calm with good entertainment, rooms where clean and basic but all round very good the shower was amazing. We were on 9th floor and had such a beautiful view of the sea and pool area, the air conditioning worked well the mini fridge came in handy, the hair dryer was ok but not great if you have thick long hair so take your own. The food was really good a difference cuisine every night, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables lots of local food to taste, a good selection of drinks. I found the hotel to be very clean the reception area and restaurant were exceptionally clean, the amenities were good the gym was full with good quality equipment, the wellness area looked nice but I didn’t use. The pool temperature was perfect, lots of information on the app. Would go back again was very sad to go. over all good value for money
We stayed for a week, upon checking in staff were very friendly and gave us our room key we had booked a side sea view room and had paid extra to upgrade when booking through tui. Upon getting into the room it was a ground floor garden room with no balcony or form of sea view unless you walked off the terraced area which was essentially walking out onto the pool area not from the room at all! I went and discussed this with reception and the staff member was initially defensive saying this is what this chain of hotel calls a partial sea view, I agin challenged this as it was no form of sea view and the staff member seemed to begrudgingly give us a different room which I must say was amazing and did have a beautiful view from the balcony of the sea. The staff member that changed rooms for us then seemed to have a very different attitude with us for the rest of the holiday, being slightly hostile towards us! All of the staff members throughout the rest of the holiday were incredible from bar staff to the cleaners and maintenance. While the rooms are lovely I will say they are basic and don't have a 4* feel but the stunning views do make up for it and the rest of the hotel is spotless!
Unfortunately for a 4* adults only hotel I would say there didn't seem to be much of an atmosphere or entertainment of high standards if you are looking for somewhere extremely peaceful I would say it is the place.
Breakfast was incredible with great choice- the breakfast chefs and bar staff are super lovely!
The location is stunning itself scenery wise and a great area for snorkeling in the near by sea!
What I will say is while Cala millor is beautiful we struggled to find many restaurants or night life of a high standard we ate out mainly in Cala bona with the Italian being our favorite roughly a £10 taxi away and moments in Cala millor say a 15 min walk away being great!
All in all it is a nice place if you want somewhere quiet but I'm not sure we would return in a return.
