Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

We’ve been coming to this hotel for over 15 years now, always enjoying our stay.
Unfortunately this time we found out the hotel is great, just as long as you don’t need any extra help. We were informed that our “platinum” status comes with a free late check-out, which was, of course, unavailable due to a supposedly “fully booked” hotel, with rooms that were obviously unoccupied. We reached out twice, asking if we could stay in our room for just 15 minutes longer, and were met with no understanding from the reception staff. Not only that, but on the day of our check-out there was a knock on our door at 12:01, followed by a phone call at 12:04 asking as to leave the room. It is incredibly disheartening that guests of over 15 years are treated with so little understanding and offered no help, not even an extra 15 minutes in a room.
This entire situation was a very unpleasant ending to an otherwise great stay. The food is incredible, the staff is amazing, and everyone other than the reception staff was helpful and friendly.
A big thumbs up for this Iberostar hotel in terms of cleanliness, fabulous food and very patient restaurant staff with my toddler granddaughter! Loved the different cocktails presented to us on our way in, the lobster we had one night and generally the choice of yummy food to suit everyone. The family rooms really are for families with lots of storage space for toys, a microwave and fresh coffee maker. We had asked for a family room with the little private garden by the pool. But in the event, it's really noisy as there are music-based pool activities in the day time and it's near the entertainment area at night. I think it's better either to go for the rooms by the smaller pool on an upper floor with swings and a trampolene (tho' the water is chilly) . Or simply choose the sister hotel which is quieter. And you would still have access to the other kid-friendly restaurant and great kids activity centre.
Other points: we would have really appreciated a handprinted map of the location and opening/ closing times of the different restaurants. I know you can scan this information but really we're on holiday: how much would it cost to offer it?! The beach is lovely: quite windy and waves but that means it's not so hot and there are lots of friendly families. I especially liked the way the hotel had a space that allowed us to share buckets and spades and lilos etc . All in all a lovely time but we did have problems with the noise
A perfect family holiday – we’ll be back!
We had a PERFECT stay at Iberostar Albufera Park with our two boys. Every day felt different, and there was always something for the lads to enjoy. Having such easy access to the beach was a HUGE benefit and made the whole holiday feel wonderfully relaxed. Adrian and team made the foam party the most memorable day of our trip!
The room layout worked brilliantly for us as a family of four. It was comfortable, practical and made it easy for everyone to settle in after a busy day as well as having Mum and Dad time on the balcony with a nightcap without disturbing our sleeping boys!
For mummy and daddy, the food and bar offering was a real highlight. The quality was excellent throughout, and a special nod has to go to the cocktail bar staff, who were fantastic and made our evenings even more enjoyable. A la carte options were great- Greek restaraunt in particular is FANTASTIC!! Mexican also very fun! Despite people saying in other reviews that it’s difficult to get slots/bookings I don’t agree- we did so with ease!!
This place ticks every box for a family holiday. The quality you’re getting is unquestionably five star, and we’re already looking forward to coming back to an Iberostar property in 2027.
Family holidays with young kids should be stressful- not here!
Thank you guys!!
We stayed here last week and will return as it was fantastic. Sitting on the beach with a wide range of things for kids and adults. The rooms are a good size. The food is lovely. It is a bit isolated so you need to take a bus to Playa de Muro village.
Just back from a beautiful week in this hotel. Had a gorgeous stay. Staff were so helpful. Kids club was excellent; staff were so lovely to the kids. Breakfast and lunch were excellent. I would 100% go back again.
