This holiday hotel with its delightful garden is excellently situated frontline to the fishing port and bay of Sóller in Majorca, enjoying fantastic views. A variety of restaurants, bars and cafés is in the vicinity and the centre of the town of Sóller can be easily reached with the historic streetcar. The city of Palma is 25 km away and is connected with Sóller through a historic train, the “Red Flash”. Guests can enjoy a sunny day resting by the side of the pool or having a splash in it. The property offers delicious local dishes that please all types of tastes. The classy rooms follow the decoration of the whole complex, light warm tones and wooden furniture create a cosy atmosphere and make travellers feel welcomed. They are equipped with comfortable beds and all the needed amenities to have the most unforgettable stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Our stay at the Hotel Eden Soller definitely helped make our holiday in Port de Soller.
We looked at a number of options through BA before choosing our hotel. We also looked at the reviews both positive and mixed just to get an idea of what people had said and chose the Hotel Eden Soller. The rooftop cocktail bar may have also helped.
The hotel is in a great location, on the sea front and across the tram tracks from the beach. We paid for an upgrade for a sea view room and this was certainly worth it for us. The photos are a range taken from the room, pool and bar.
Check in was easy and we were fortunate that our room was ready. The room was a good size and had most things we would want, including a fridge for water during the week and a safe. We could have done with a few more hangers and there weren’t enough drawers for smaller items of clothes.
We had a room overlooking the pool and beach and a balcony which in the evening got the sun which for us was a pleasant change, we’ve had some shocking views over the years.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the website said continental but it’s a wide range of food including continental but also hot food items. We chose not to eat at the hotel in the evening mainly due to all the options out and about.
The most negative comments we read before booking were the lack of sun beds around the pool. We managed to get sun beds in the first few days, but after that we opted to go to the sun beds on the beach.
Pool - For me personally I found the chlorine in the pool not great for my skin (eczema) but most other people in the pool seemed very happy. Once we decided to go to the beach you would see some people waiting for the pool to open to put towels on the sun beds.
Beach - With the sun beds on the beach, you did have to pay for these which we had no issue with. For 2 people with an umbrella it was €19 per day (1 person with umbrella was €13). With the sun beds and umbrella there was also a safe where you could keep your valuables whilst in the sea. The beach is sandy, not many rocks / stones. Because it is a harbour, the sea is calm and easy to swim in. There was a platform people could swim up to and jump off, which was very popular even into the evening. It was worth the money. You don’t need to pay for Sumner’s, you can also just use the beach with your towels etc.
The walk from the hotel to the beach was just across the promenade, which also included the tracks for the Soller Tram. The promenade was mostly pedestrians, you get the odd taxi, van and cyclists and scooters but mostly trams and pedestrians. Very safe to cross and seconds to get from the hotel to the beach. The Soller tram is great, we only used it one day when we got the tram to Soller and then the heritage train to Palma, from memory €40 return, definitely a trip worth doing.
Would highly recommend the resort and hotel. In fact as a rarity for us it is when we will be back rather than if we are back.
We booked an Economy Room.so we knew that we would not have a balcony or any outdoor space. We were therfore unable to air and dry clothes which was a pain.. The room was fantastic. Clean modern and very comfortable. The air con and bed were very comfortable. We were in room 229 and.we.felt that it was good value. Staff were lovely..the women at the.reception were very professional. I did see a male worker scold a woman for taking a cup.of coffee outside..She was waiting for a sunbed and the had been used by someone else. She didnt say anything and looked embarrassed. The cleaning staff are lovely and kept the pool.area spotless.. I was annoyed on their behalf when some.on the guests cleaned their feet in the shower when the staff were still.preparing it and made a mess. So rude! The pool.is nice...as it is school.hols we never swam.in it as it fill.of young kids habing fun so we used the beach..The breakfast was good..the location is superb and we felt it was one of our best holidays ever!
Very comfortable stay at this quite large hotel. Room was all good, water pressure and hot water both excellent. Was given a back facing room, not as good a view as sea side but nice view of the mountains. The back faces south so gets most of the days sun. The balcony in the sun is really hot. The air con is excellent and most welcome. Staff friendly and shout out to the cleaners who left the room perfect every time. Breakfast was excellent. A recommended hotel with a great central location right on the beach front.
A modern but tired hotel. Some notable points but mostly negative for a female solo traveller over 50. Male staff are often unpleasant and discriminatory and sometimes when having a valid query are borderline aggressive. Female staff have been mostly welcoming. This is a family/ couples resort mostly but a pretty base and good transport links to notable villages and hiking routes. Pool area is ludicrously small for this size of hotel and the same people hog the sun loungers , literally all day. They would have been better adding an adult only pool instead of the under-used roof top bar. The rule around leaving towels for over half an hour or they’ll removed is laughable. See photos taken 8.30/9am. Upholstery in all areas of hotel is stained and grubby and an mis match of furniture in dining room looks like they’ve been shopping on e bay. Room wasn’t clean upon arrival with dirty marks on furniture, walls and sand on my bedroom floor. Cleaned it myself. Plaster cracking around doors annd skirtings and it just generally is ready for a good overhaul. Beds comfortable and towels and bedding changed regularly if required. TV has no English channels Air con is fabulous and as hotel not upgraded to key card insert , can leave it on 24/7 if you so desire. Food is totally acceptable as plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner. Typical Spanish buffet style with fresh omelette section and some meats/ fish at dinner.
Pretty disappointing so far. People run for sun loungers and reserve with a towel or even a hat!! And then go out for the day. It says they will police the reservations but the 2 days I’ve been here, I haven’t seen any sunbeds be free. WiFi in the room doesn’t work on the tv and when asked at reception she basically told us “you can’t us it” 😂 what a joke. The double bed is 2 twin beds pushed together. The Hugo spritz is not very nice at all. The WiFi and pool/sun loungers situation has put us off. I wouldn’t recommend and not worth the price.
