We booked the more affordable option, a Divinity Eden 1-bedroom Garden View suite for myself, my wife and daughter, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for more. The suite was spacious, exceptionally clean and peaceful, with a huge terrace that gave it a lovely private apartment feel.
We did wonder if we’d miss out by not having a sea view, but actually we’re really glad we saved the money and chose the Garden View. The pool, bar and B.B. restaurant all have amazing views, and we were hardly in our room.
Our suite was on floor -1, just below reception, but had really easy access to the street. You simply go up one flight of stairs to floor 1 and can head straight out without going through reception, which we loved.
The hotel itself has such an incredible architectural feel. We absolutely loved the underground level, with all the plants growing throughout the space and the palm tree coming through the opening in the ceiling. It gives the whole hotel such a unique feel.
The pool area was fantastic, with breathtaking views that we never got tired of. Our daughter especially loved spotting all the little kittens jumping around the gardens!
We’ll definitely be back and would happily book the Garden View again. A fantastic stay from start to finish, highly recommend.
What a great place to stay! It checkboxes everything you would expect of a 5 star accommodation and beyond. Super friendly staff and high quality standards for both all facilities and drinks and food!
We found the perfect place for our holiday this year. Staff are very friendly food is beautiful. We are staying in a 2bedroom suite over looking the amazing view of the sea. Couldn’t fault this place. Perfect in every way!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with outdoor pool and hot-tub. The terrace was huge and we had a nice view of the sea. It was spotlessly clean and the huge kitchen (with very useful island) was superb and equipped with everything. We would highly recommend enjoying the À la Carte breakfast which is served away from the main breakfast area. The service there was superb as was the presentation. Virginia served us and was so professional and friendly.
The reception staff are likewise brilliant- Dina in particular shone through.
The sports facilities/gym are over the road to the main hotel but it’s a very short walk.
The only drawback for us was its location - it’s up a big hill and a little way from the main areas - I’d suggest a 15 minute walk. That said, we enjoy walking so no problem for us. Besides, taxis are plentiful and we found easy to get; they were not expensive.
Overall, a superb place to stay (we’ve been to Tenerife more than 10 times and it must be in the top 2 for us). We’d definitely return.
We have just returned from a two-week stay at Baobab Suites, and overall we had a really enjoyable holiday. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, and our suite was absolutely fantastic with incredible views over the whole of Costa Adeje. The underground car park was also a big plus, and the breakfast was excellent every morning with plenty of choice.
That said, there were a few things that stopped this being a 5-star experience.
The Wi-Fi was very poor and constantly dropped out, which became frustrating over a two-week stay. The lifts are also painfully slow and often involve a long wait.
The sunbed policy needs to be enforced properly. Guests were leaving towels on beds for hours without using them, making it difficult for others to find somewhere to sit.
The advertised WhatsApp service wasn't as useful as expected. Most enquiries were simply redirected to reception, so it didn't really offer any added convenience.
Housekeeping was generally good, but our room wasn't cleaned on the first day, which seemed unusual, and there were occasions when toilet rolls weren't replaced.
One thing that concerned me was that there appeared to be only one lifeguard covering both the second and third floor pools, constantly moving between them. That doesn't seem ideal from a safety point of view.
The tea served at breakfast was often only lukewarm rather than hot, and there were several occasions when there weren't enough clean pool towels available to exchange.
We also thought €100 for a five-hour late check-out was excessive. While we appreciated the option being available, the price felt very steep.
The complimentary taxi service to the nearest beach is a nice touch, although it's only available between 9am and 5pm and only serves that one destination.
Overall, despite the issues, we had a wonderful holiday. The stunning suites, fantastic views, excellent breakfast, cleanliness and friendly staff outweigh the negatives. With a few improvements to the areas mentioned above, this could easily become a five-star experience.
