NOT RACCOMENDED

NOT RECOMMENDED!!! The hotel services are nonexistent. There is no air conditioning in all common areas, including the restaurants, and it's scorching hot. The hotel is spread over several levels, with endless stairs and no elevator. To get to the pools, you have to walk a long way. Even though they have buggy service, you have to wait a long time. Staff are unqualified and insufficient. There is no waiter service at the pool, but long waits at the only bar with only one person serving drinks. At 5 pm, they start removing towels and stacking the lounger mattresses. All restaurants require reservations, and guests must do so by standing in a long line at the guest house where there are only two staff. Reservations are required for lunch at the beach bar, otherwise there will be a long wait. Very poor breakfast with long waits for an omelet (there was only one person in charge who made one at a time), only 3 types of croissants available, bacon at the buffet was undercooked. Yesterday a man entered the room without knocking and my wife barely had time to cover herself with a bathrobe. Overall, a hotel that does not deserve the price paid and the guests are not relaxed. Vacation is a job with queues for everything and wasted time and stress. If you then want to have lunch at the beach bar you stand in line under the sun waiting your turn. We booked 3 rooms with a sea view terrace and one of them only had a window with no terrace. Overall, I do not feel like recommending this hotel at all. In Adeje there are many 5-star hotels that are much better.

Amazing vacation in Gran Hotel Bahia

We spent a truly fantastic week at the Gran Hotel Bahia. The hotel’s unique atmosphere is captivating. Built in the Canary Islands style, the complex is like a small town. The hotel’s facilities are also excellent. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. And the restaurants offer an extremely varied selection of dining options. Overall, we had nothing but positive impressions, and I highly recommend.

This hotel has everything right!

What a treat of a hotel! This hotel has everything absolutely right! The ambience is perfect, the rooms have everything catered for, the cleanliness is 100%. The staff … all of them, so helpful and professional. The hotel caters for every age, its layout is fabulous, so many areas to choose from making your holiday not seem the same everyday! Plenty of areas for drinks, I highly recommend the reception all bar! So many different places to eat for lunch and dinner and all very good food and well priced. The staff around the pool areas take orders for drinks and food and ice creams throughout the day if you just fancy lazing by the pools! There is a child’s pool area separate from an adult only area. There are salt pools and lagoons, separate from the standard chlorine pools. The service door at the bottom of the hotel grounds opens up onto a really nice beach, with lots of loungers and beach umbrellas. There is a charge but very reasonable for what you get. If you do want to venture out of the hotel, it is in a prime location, you can walk around the coast into the nightlife of Costa Adeje, plenty of places to eat and drink and lots of shops. A fantastic shopping centre if you need a break from the sea and sand! If you would like a lovely treat and you love food, I would highly recommend Nub, the Michelin star restaurant on sight. It was absolutely incredible! A little pricey but a wonderful treat and well worth the money for the insane experience that we had. The concierge service in the beach club is fantastic. The staff are so friendly and will help you with anything. Siam park day and night tickets are a must. The day was great… the night was brilliant! 🤩 We had a chartered boat trip organised by the hotel and it was amazing. We did a sunset trip on a catamaran, excellent evening. We also had a trip arranged for a private mount Teidi tour, which was also fantastic. Our guide was very experienced and we learnt a lot about the volcano and the surroundings at the national park. We travelled as a big family of 10. Everything flowed smoothly from arrival to departure. We had no problem getting tables for us all to eat throughout the day, we never had any problems getting pool loungers for us all together, even though we were in the height of summer holidays. Endless towels supply, never any issue hashing a clean fresh towel in our rooms or by the pool. Plenty of towel stations to change towels as often as you wanted. To top off our holiday …. We happened to spend our last evening at the hotels annual Bbq event. It is a paid ticket event and it is all you can eat and drink included in the price, with wonderful entertainment and finished off with an amazing fireworks display! It ended our holiday literally with a bang!! We have never stayed at this resort before, we will definitely be back… already looking at when!

Location, service and faclities excellent

Returned again to this hotel having gone elsewhere. They were in the middle of a renovation programme which meant the room choice 9at booking) was curtailed which was disappointing but we did get what we booked.

Positives are location, service (we recognised many familiar faces in the staff and they really care about the guests), excellent breakfast and privacy. They do a fantastic job of keeping non guests out of the hotel. Loads of small touches help- when you arrive they take your name at the gate so by check-in they have already organised bags, help yourself to pool towels (none of the hand a card in rubbish), welcoming gifts etc

This is a large hotel over multiple levels on a sloping site- there are buggies but I wouldn't recommend for limited mobility.

The wine bar and having a drink on the terrace before dinner is lovely and peaceful, later on there is entertainment which is mediocre but not really what you are there for and the other bars are good.

The grounds are lovely and well kept, there is an overwhelming feeling of spaciousness with shaded areas, plenty of pool space etc. However you may need to make friends with resident black swan who will eat food from your hand if offered....

Overall a really relaxing, unpretentious hotel with great service

A grand hotel, but lacking the luxury touch"

I had wanted to stay at the Bahia del Duque in Tenerife for years ever since visiting the nearby Anthelia palace hotel with my parents when I was younger. It always seemed so grand and luxurious from afar, so I was excited to finally experience it. While we had a fantastic holiday overall and stayed in a lovely, spacious sea view room, the kids club was nice and the hotel had a sweetie bar that the girls loved but we were left just a little bit underwhelmed. The overall service and personal touches simply weren't there. A few areas where it fell short of expectations: Breakfast chaos: Breakfast was extremely busy and the staff were clearly overrun. You had to actively hunt someone down just to get a coffee ordered. Lack of pool service: There was no pool service whatsoever—no one came around asking for drink orders or helping with sunbeds and there was one member of staff at the pool bar, who was just over run with fruit smoothie orders! We waited 40minutes for a Gin and tonic at the bar! Personal attention: There was a distinct lack of attentiveness overall. The staff didn't remember us from day to day and no personal interaction on how’s your day etc. Ultimately, it felt like it was lacking the extra layer of luxury and personalized care that comes with the title "Leading Hotels of the World." A beautiful property, but the service needs an upgrade.
