Great stay!
We’ve recently returned from a 7-night stay at HOVIMA Cool Hotel and overall, we had a fantastic experience. We would go as far as saying it was one of the best holidays we’ve had!
We were greeted with a lovely glass of Prosecco on arrival, which was a great touch. Our initial impression of the room was that it was quite basic and unfortunately, the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. However, this was soon overlooked and forgotten because we had such a wonderful stay overall.
One of the things we particularly loved was the relaxed atmosphere around the pool. There were no sunbed wars, which was a huge bonus! During the day, the pool area had such a fun, social club atmosphere and we absolutely loved it. Everyone was friendly and clearly enjoying their holiday, which made the whole experience even better.
The hotel staff were accommodating throughout our stay. It was also my partner’s birthday while we were there and the hotel kindly left a complimentary bottle of Prosecco in our room to help us celebrate. It was such a lovely little touch and very much appreciated!
There was only one negative experience during our entire holiday. On one occasion at breakfast, one of the waiters asked me to “top up” my clothing. This was said in front of everyone and was not done discreetly, which left me feeling extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable and I did not appreciate the request what so ever. I was wearing a crop top, denim shorts and trainers and felt that I was appropriately covered for breakfast. What made the situation more uncomfortable was that there were other guests wearing see-through dresses over bikinis who were not approached. This was the only thing that left a negative impression on me during our stay.
The entertainment staff, however, were AMAZING and genuinely made our holiday! They were fantastic and really helped create such a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. They are one of the main reasons we would return! Thank you for being so great!
Overall, despite the few minor issues, we absolutely loved our time at HOVIMA Cool and we would definitely return!

Got back yesterday. Room 607..if I sat all night and tried to think of a negative I couldn't. Wonderful. Marco the barman was like an octopus. Wonderful experience. I'm booking for next year..paul and lisa greenan
Oh my god I love my job
Third time of staying here and a lot has changed, some good some bad. Bad. No table service unless you pay for the excellent package. We like table service and this was not known to us on our booking. We guess staff cutbacks. Also the fan on the hotel next door is loud. Good points. Clean tidy hotel with great staff . Great location. Room cleaned every day. Good food choices in the restaurant and we loved the lunches better than the evening dinner. Some of the night time entertainment is poor but you can’t please everyone. Top of all is the entertainment team. They are great all day and night oh my god I love my job . Are we coming back we’ll have a week still here so let’s see. Watch this space

Oh my god I love my job
A huge heartfelt thank you to Alex, Maria, Patrica and Joseph for the absolutely fabulous entertainment! ❤️ You were all so warm, friendly and full of energy, and you made the whole experience so special and enjoyable. Your enthusiasm and talent really shone through, and it was clear how much effort you all put into making sure everyone had a wonderful time. We had such a fantastic time and will have some lovely memories to take away with us.

Another 5 Star Experience
What a wonderful hotel this is. From the food, to the staff and the facilities. We again stayed on the Excellence package; not for everyone but it is our choice and we really enjoy it. The standard of food in the Excellence part of the restaurant is fabulous and will get even better once the planned À la Carte menu is introduced at the evening meal. The staff are second to none. It is hard to mention everyone (so apologies to those not listed), but sincere thanks to Asia, Pedro, Abdul, Antonio, Alberto, Esteban, Ivan and Bryan in the restaurant; Pancho, Marco, Marc and Pedro in the bar, the wonderful and extremely helpful Arial at the pool, Tibby in Reception and not forgetting the wonderful Ainara (Guest Relations Manager) who is always so helpful, efficient and professional. The rooms and facilities are kept spotless with staff working very hard behind the scenes. Our experience has again been unforgettable so a very thank you to all concerned. We will most definitely be back (you have been warned )
