This hotel is located on the promenade of San Eugenio, just steps from Playa del Bobo beach. There are a lot of shops and entertainment venues just minutes away, as well as public transport links nearby. Puerto de Colón is located nearby, where guests can enjoy boating and fishing trips. New Star Prestige area with personalized service, facilities and comfortable rooms. This is a great hotel for families with children as it counts with useful services and facilities specially designed for the little ones, such as a new Star Camp area and several fantastic swimming pools with sunbeds for adults to sunbathe or enjoy a moment of relaxation. Guest rooms are luminous and offer a fresh and modern style to guarantee a memorable stay.
The dress code to access the main restaurant consists of formal clothes for gentlemen, such as long pants during dinners.

We stayed for a week at the end of September as a family of three with our 4-year-old.
The hotel was very clean, the staff were generally friendly, and our 9th-floor room had a beautiful view. The pool area was excellent for children, especially the slides, and the gym was modern, clean and very well equipped. We also really liked the filtered water stations on each floor.
The biggest issue was the lack of proper air conditioning. There was none in reception, the restaurant or snack bar, and these areas were extremely hot and humid. Even the air conditioning in our room was fairly weak — it made the room slightly cooler, but the air still felt very humid rather than properly cool and comfortable.
The buffet had plenty of choice, but many dishes were quite plain and lacking in flavour. Usually there was one good meat or fish option, but overall we expected better from an all-inclusive hotel.
The lifts were another major frustration. There are four, but they are very slow, so waits were often long. One was also faulty and we actually got stuck in it. We reported it, but it was still not properly resolved during our seven-day stay. Overall, there are some very good features here, especially for families, but the heat, lift problems and average food definitely affected the experience.

B&B or Half Board only!
I stayed here with my brother and his girlfriend, plus my 3 year old nephew. Overall we had a good time with All Inclsuive! However we feel we should’ve done B&B or half board for this hotel.
Room: I was quite surprised with how big the room was. We had rooms 220/221 and we had a lovely sea view. The aircon is quite weak, but we left the key card in to make sure the room stays cool. The bed was comfy and we was given extra bedding (in case you get cold). Our fridge wasn’t filled despite being all inclusive, but it was spacious. Shower was hot and cold, but not too much to make it uncomfortable. Safe is free!! But the best part for me was the hair dryer… I have long hair and it’s the most powerful hairdryer I’ve ever had in any hotel, really loved this. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower.
Pool/Bars We stayed at the middle pool where there was a little step for children. Honestly it really made this pool, so useful for younger children. It was clean and a little warm for me (I prefer slightly colder based on preference). The beds are easily accessible, still free at 8 o’clock so enjoy your lie in! It can get a little slippy/hot round the pool so walk carefully!.. The slides for children were amazing. My nephew LOVED it. However please be aware that some lifeguards are more lenient than others.. on our last day we had a very strict lifeguard complaining to children coming down the slides. They are positioned at the bottom of the slides consistently blowing their whistle, however I would recommend them being at the top of the slides to monitor the children. Albeit, a great idea for the children. The main pool we found quite dirty and never went in it. This pool is also a lot quieter if you would want to relax. There is only one pool bar which can at times get very busy! Fully appreciate the staff at the pool bar! I would recommend having a physical menu for drinks as not everyone will use a QR code for drinks.
Restaurant/Snack Bar The restaurant had a great selection of food. I could not fault anything they served. There is a wide variety for the adventurous eaters and fussy eaters! There is a different theme every night which was great. We had one server that was absolutely brilliant with my nephew Teddy. He was always laughing and joking with him and we really appreciated that. My nephew always looked out for him, calling him a friend.. ‘where’s my friend’ haha! The snack bar was adequate, not a wide variety of food in all honesty. Would recommend lunch in the main restaurant. However, the view from the snack bar was amazing! Please do more with the snack bar as it could be a really great selling point or onsite new restaurant.
Entertainment This was quite standard for us, nothing special. Our nephew wasn’t as interested in the mini disco, despite we enjoyed the songs! We didn’t watch much of the evening entertainment. Daytime entertainment we really enjoyed the archery and darts. We wish darts was more frequent!! One big issue we had was that the entertainment was all indoors. We prefer outside entertainment on holiday.
There is so much space in this hotel which isn’t being used. Just chairs has been put there to fill the areas. Use the grass outside for entertainment or the snack bar or the bar outside on the roof top. Let people enjoy the cool evening air!
Overall, we did enjoy this hotel despite a few little niggles. But we wouldn’t be back for all inclusive. The hotel is VERY close to Fañabé and playa de americas. Taxi only cost 6 euros max.

Not as good as previous stays
This is our 4th time staying at this hotel
Reception staff and restaurant staff bar staff lobby lovely people Pool bar staff rude, twice had issue ordered breakfast tea had to ask for milk and suger twice , suger was brown I asked for white again gave me brown, asked for White suger as I have tea not coffee. 3rd time lucky I got the white suger,
The main pool alot of the tiles are missing, and black bits floating everywhere.
The water cooler on our floor which was 3rd floor our of the 10 days was broke for 5 when we left still broke,
Vacuum was always left in the corridor also
It was my 50th while we was away there was not even a chocolate left nor anything fancy done with the towels or even a few petels on the bed, just small things could of been appreciated.
Overall ok stay but rooms and pool need updating.

Good break
We've been visiting this hotel for a good number of years now, and always have sung it's praises. however a few things need some attention. The plants that are now on the terrace bar at the back of the hotel, are taking up far too much space, which could be better served with more tables and chairs, most nights on this holiday, a lot of people had to stand up. Also the bar on the terrace was closed 2 nights on the run. Had a couple of minor issues with the room, which the hotel responded superbly to mend, so praise is due. The lifts were fine, in response to people moaning about them, saying they took to long to arrive. One thing lacking around the hotel in the restaurant, and communal areas and the lift, is some form of aircon, or rotating fans. I would still recommend this hotel, all staff are lovely, and food is good.

Great hotel
We have just returned from a week at the Waves Bouganville. We have previously stayed at the Guayarmina Princess. We would definitely return. We had a room on the 7th floor with a great view. The soundproofing in the rooms was excellent; we didn't hear any noise from adjacent rooms or outside on the corridor. The room was clean and spacious with instant hot water. We hired a kettle for a returnable €20 deposit. There is a water cooler on each floor where you can fill bottles with cold or fizzy water for free. Lots of people complained about having to wait for the lifts. We had one long wait going to breakfast on our first morning but overall we didn't have to wait too long. The choice of food at the buffet was vast. Waiters were friendly and the service was very efficient. We missed our meal on the first night due to a late flight but our rep said we could ask for a lunch on our last day to compensate. Reception gave us a voucher for this and told us we could have swapped dinner for lunch anytime if we wanted. We wouldn't have known about this though had we not asked. We only managed to find one English channel on the TV (SKY News). Entertainment at night was good with comfy theatre style seating in the main area dedicated for the evening shows. We carried our drinks in from dinner and weren't pestered to buy more drinks. We only had a couple of negative points. There is limited air conditioning in the public areas, which was really noticeable when you walked out of your room but this is due to Spanish laws not a fault of the hotel. Also, although the hotel has it's own car park, our coach dropped us off a fair walk away. Arriving late at night in the dark, we had quite a walk and had to cross a road, dragging our cases to get to the Reception. Anyone with mobility problems would struggle. Equally, when we were due to come home, our coach picked us up at a nearby bus stop, not too far away but would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. On that subject, the hotel is in a really good position near the beach and facilities but the whole area is very hilly with steps everywhere. Access via a gate near the pool leads to a short cut to the beach but this is via a lot of steep steps. We are a couple in our late 60s but the hotel also seemed to be very geared up for children. All in all though, a fantastic hotel and we would definitely return.
