The BEST TENERIFE is located in an area bursting with shops and restaurants that give it life both day and night. Of particular note are the panoramic views of the swimming pool. It's 380 rooms offer customers a functional and pleasant environment. The hotel entertainment staff offer activities day and night. Facilities include Air Conditioning.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Nice hotel friendly staff food good , but having a kettle and cups would be nice to have tea bags milk, so I had to buy tea bag’s milk sugar and water , and I got my morning cuppa , games room lost money few times as took money but it didn’t work, no air con even tho it says it has it , it’s so weak ur room is sweltering, I complained and got a fan , wasn’t great but better than nothing, all the rooms are like it , lot people complained, if ur not all inclusive remember lunch and dinner you have to pay for ur drinks Was a bit confusing, Apart from that was ok, I would go back but not in the summer as it was very uncomfortable with the room too hot it was awful, if they had proper air con I would go back
Location: The hotel is in a convenient location, close to local amenities and the beach.
Atmosphere: The staff are friendly, welcoming and hardworking, creating a pleasant atmosphere.
Rooms: Unfortunately, the room did not have a particularly good view. There was also an unpleasant “eggy” smell coming from the toilet and drain. Some of the floors and walls throughout the hotel were noticeably scuffed and could benefit from some maintenance.
Value: There are several areas that could be improved, particularly the condition and maintenance of some facilities, as mentioned above.
Cleanliness: The cleaning staff do a great job and are very friendly. The toilets were generally kept clean. However, some of the outdoor parasols were dirty and rusty, which affected the overall appearance.
Noise level: The room was generally quiet, with minimal noise heard from outside.
Service: All of the staff we encountered were friendly, hardworking and happy to help whenever needed.
Amenities: There is not a huge amount to do within the hotel itself, so you generally need to go to the nearby shops or beach for activities.
Other areas for improvement: Only two out of three of the lifts appeared to be operating during our stay. The lifts were also difficult to operate and we often had to wait for quite a long time. This was particularly challenging when travelling with people who have mobility issues. There were also pigeons living in one of the outdoor dining areas, which was unpleasant and could be a hygiene concern.
There’s also a really frustrating issue with people leaving towels on sun loungers first thing in the morning and then disappearing for the majority of the day.
The hotel is in a great location. 5 minutes stroll to the beach and on the nice end of the street with lots of fancy restaurants and shops. Can't fault the location at all. The room - functional, had what you needed, free safe, clean and tidy. The bathrooms were a little outdated and at night, if you had a pool view room, you could hear the entertainment really loudly until 10.30pm. Pool - lovely warm pools but they need a good clean. The smaller pool was murky with bits floating in it each day. You can only use inflatables in the smaller pool which does then get quite crowded. Loads of sunbeds but you do have to be out before 6am to get a set of sunbeds! Hotel says not to reserve but noone enforces anything! There were loads of beds that were reserved and noone arrived until gone 2pm which was really annoying! Restaurant - staff absolutely lovely, clean and efficient. The food was very samey each day. We managed breakfast and lunch but went out for dinner each day as we couldn't stomach 7 days of the same food with very little variety from 1 day to the next. Also, all the food was served at a luke warm temperature including the yogurts! It would be nice to have actual hot food or cold food but everything was something in between. They serve food poolside each day but again it's chips, burgers and hotdogs. The entertainment team were nice and not in your face which was great, you didn't feel pressured to join in if you didn't want to! The bar - for AI, there was a shelf of cheap booze and the fizz machines plus mixed cocktails on tap that you could pour yourself. There is the potential to get messy very quickly but thankfully we didn't see that, everyone was sensible and took things in moderation. You can pay for more premium drinks but they are at a discounted rate for AI (€3 a cocktail instead of €8) Overall, the hotel is massive and does well to cater for so many in 1 go. It was clean and tidy, if a bit tired in places! For families, it was fun and location was great. Weve done a week there but probably wouldn't return.
Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Staff work so hard to ensure you have the Best Tenerife holiday. Entertainment team are first class, upbeat and positive at all times. Food is very good, plenty of variety even for the fussiest of eaters. Great place for a family holiday.
Best Tenerife. Brilliant. I have come to this hotel since I was a young girl aged 14 (12 years ago) and I have made it back to this hotel 5 times since. I can honestly say I feel like each year the hotel changes slightly (for the better!)
Booking: Upon arrival, I had asked if there was a chance of an upgrade to our room after emailing back and forth. Julia was fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure that this was honoured on day 2. We are very grateful for her help. There was another colleague whom (forgive me with the description) had a slick back hair cut and looked 5’7 - he too was equally kind and helpful with each request we had… even when my husbands wrist band broke (three times lol).
Rooms: Initially we were in 335. I must say, that room was tiny. Small and not what I had expected sadly. Chipping on frames, smelt musty, walls were dirty. However, once we got upgraded on day 2 we were much better impressed with the senator room (room 520). The cleaners came each day and also had given us bottles of water each day, did a great job!
Food & Restaurant & Piano Bar: Guys, fabulous! The staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and funny! The food this year was great, much better than previous years and we enjoyed the theme nights too! I think there was Thursday 13th August Lunch time that was the only disappointment. But on the whole great food, drinks service and kindness!
Entertainment: Comparing to last year and years before… you smashed it! We watched the entertainment sometimes from the courtyard and our balcony and we really enjoyed the quiz nights, game nights, flamenco dancing and many singers who came to visit! The entertainment team were super kind and welcoming and had a great sense of humour!
Roof Top Terrace: We have always loved this part of the hotel! Clean, well organised although… it had appeared that some days people who were not all inclusive / senator / AND over 18 years old were slowly coming to use the facilities. If paying customers are to pay extra for the room & roof top terrace please can you make sure that you are keeping an eye on who goes up there… some people used the fire exit to get up instead of their key card.
Hotel toilets -1 floor & floor 0: These toilets were dirty and unclean. I am pretty sure that during my quiet time in the piano bar I had seen a cleaner make their way to the toilets and did not even spend 5 minutes in the area. After they had left, I needed to go and I found that the toilets smelt, were messy, floor was unclean and the toilets themselves were partially blocked.
Suggestions: Whilst looking over the balcony on the roof top terrace, my husband had thought it would be a great idea to have a proper bar up the top - like a mini canopy that you have down stairs! He also thought that maybe… because the suite rooms are huge and have a beautiful balcony that they too should have some sort of private pool or jacuzzi! Personally, I am fussy when it comes to pillows, perhaps a pillow menu would be an idea! The pillows in the room are very hard and uncomfortable!
Summary: All in all - bravo best! See you in 2027!
