Whether you’re travelling as a family, with friends, or as a couple, this attractive resort has something for everybody. The Hotel La Siesta boasts a stunning location in the popular resort of Playa de las Americas - where you will find heaps of shops, bars, and restaurants. The hotel is just a stone’s throw away from a lovely sandy beach, and on top of that… the golf course Golf de Las Americas is also within walking distance!
There is plenty on offer for guests who wish to burn off some energy, such as the hotels on-site fitness centre and tennis court. As well as the choice of two swimming pools, one for adults and one for children, both surrounded by sun loungers and parasols to help guests kick back and relax. Next to the pool is a bar, where you can get some refreshments and snacks. The hotel has a second bar called the ‘Palapa Bar’. Guests can enjoy their meals at the hotel’s restaurant, serving international cuisines in a buffet style, with some occasional themed dinners throughout the week.
Other facilities featured at the hotel include a spa, hot tub & jacuzzi, beauty shop and barbers. For children, there is a dedicated area called ‘Magic Park’ housing a mini club with a ball pit and slides, and for older kids or even adults - a games room full of electronic games, snooker, table football and other paid services.
Rooms are spacious and decorated in an elegant yet modern fashion. All rooms are equipped with a range of facilities to help ensure guests have a comfortable stay, this includes air conditioning, satellite TV, a safe*, mini bar*, free toiletries and complete with a balcony. Upgraded rooms to include premium services like free daily spa access, bathrobes and slippers and welcome gifts, are available at a surcharge.
Just got back from la siesta in Tenerife, never again, hotel was filthy, cockroaches running over plates during breakfast. Swimming pool was filthy, not enough sun beds , one of the toilets was always blocked, rooms were never cleaned properly, made two cups of coffee in room on first day and cups were still half full on last day, better off pay extra for a decent hotel
We recently returned from our 2nd time staying at La Siesta as a family of 4, on an all inclusive basis. We came back here as the hotel is great, it’s in a fantastic location just minutes walk away from shops, bars, and the beach with lovely longer walks into Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. The hotel is clean and the rooms have everything you could need. The food is good with a different theme each night and the entertainment is varied and great for the kids, with a mini disco every night followed by entertainment for the adults. My oldest daughter is coeliac and the staff are all very knowledgeable and attentive, ordering her gluten free pizza etc for the evening, and recognising when we arrive in the restaurant and bringing her a breakfast plate in the mornings and whatever she fancies for lunch. The staff are all really good with the kids, a few standing out in particular, Tino, Louis, Antonio and Enrique. All in all this is a great hotel in a great location with wonderful staff and we have already booked again for next year!
Unfortunately holiday was ruined when someone broke into our locked safe in the room and stole euros. The hotel staff were really unhelpful and kept saying it was impossible. The master key for all safes is behind reception conveniently. They weren’t shocked and they didn’t apologise. Clearly happens a lot. They didn’t take all our money and if it wasn’t for counting our cash randomly in the morning before we went out I probably wouldn’t have realised. My sister didn’t realise the same thing happened to her until I pointed mine out. It obviously happens a lot and they get away with it as they don’t take all your cash. Made me feel uneasy after that and sort of ruined the holiday.
We have just returned after a 2 week stay at La Siesta and had a lovely time. We were a family of 9, 5 adults and 4 children.
HOTEL The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious for a hotel room. We had 2a 2c in our room and still had plenty space, the balcony is also big. Maids came every day to clean the room. The staff are very friendly.
FOOD The food at the hotel is typical of a Spanish buffet style, there was a different theme each night, we didn’t find it repetitive, although breakfast is the same each morning. There was always something for everyone to eat including my children who are very picky (2 have autism). We took food and drink out from breakfast and nobody seemed to mind. I will however note that there was no one checking your room number at the door for breakfast, lunch or dinner so if you are only half board, you could technically get in for lunch and dinner and no one would be none the wiser. This is the first hotel we have been to where there was no one on the door so it seems to be very relaxed in that sense.
SUNBEDS I think this hotel could do this better, yes they lock sunbeds up at night, however they do not lock all the beds and this is what causes the sunbed wars in the morning. If you are going to lock sunbeds up then they ALL should be locked up. There were a few days where no sunbeds were locked after the pool closed and it seemed much more relaxed those mornings. The life guards seem to change also, some sit on their phones all day not really paying attention, however there is one lifeguard who will go around the pool with his broom brushing the water back lot the pool and seems a lot more proactive. A lot of beds get reserved and no one on them, there should be a system where if no one is sat on the beds the towels get folded, and then again if no one is on them after an hour they get removed and given to others looking for a bed. People will reserve beds at night after the maid has been around cleaning.
ENTERTAINMENT We can’t really comment on the evening shows as we didn’t watch many but the area does need to be bigger, it’s very small for the amount of guests in the hotel and gets very hot. The mini disco for the kids is inside which again gets hot. The day time entertainment is great, something for everyone to do if that’s your thing.
LOCATION The hotel is a 5 mins walk turning left out of the hotel from the strip with all the shops and bars. If you carry on walking you reach the beach and we enjoy many evenings walking along.
Overall we had a great time here and would return.
Was sceptical having read mixed reviews however we went as a family off 5 had two rooms. Very spacious, clean, nice bathroom, balcony, fridge and air con. Three pools which are nice for kids. We was half board, breakfast really good and themed lunch/dinner each day was really good, great selection off food. Evening entertainment each night but can’t comment on that as we was out each night. Staff are really friendly and helpful, respectful pms are cleaned daily, hotel is clean. Absolutely no complaints there. My only complaint is the sun bed wars are real. If you’re not down before 0800 then no chance. Annoying as we watched family’s reserve them and not show up all day. Overall this is a lovely hotel, close to all amenities and night life. Beach about a 10 min walk which is lovely. Highly recommended and will be back
