This marvellous hotel is strategically located in Playa de las Américas, just a stone's throw from beautiful and stunning beaches where guests can truly relax under the sun. In the surrounding area, visitors will find several golf courses for their enjoyment and plenty of shopping and entertainment options, so that everyone can find what they really like. Surrounded by an extraordinary botanical garden and with excellent facilities, this establishment is the best accommodation option when travelling for business or leisure. All guest rooms are very comfortable and roomy, offering the perfect space for rest and relaxation. Standard ones include a flat-screen satellite TV and a balcony or terrace and there are accessible rooms available with a pool view. The hotel includes two fantastic outdoor pools, one of them heated in winter, apart from other services like evening shows.
Just returned from 10 night stay at the Vulcano travelling with Jet2. We are a family of 3, myself my husband and our 13 year old daughter. Lots of positives for this hotel, the location is fantastic. Close enough to the beach, the shops and the bars but still lovely and quiet. Really short transfer from the airport. When we booked we chose the half board option which cost us £800 more with Jet2 than just going B&B. The breakfast was amazing, so many choices that we were still trying out different things every morning of our holiday. Everything you could think of was on offer. Evening meals were very different, obviously a lot of guests don’t choose this as the choice was very scaled back compared to breakfast and only a small section of the restaurant was used. On most occasions we managed to find something we liked but it was not the selection we’d hoped for after paying so much. At the start of our holiday the chef was cooking meat and fish to order but after a few days this changed and the meat was sat under the heat turning dry. We don’t usually complain when we’re on holiday but we did mention this to reception as we thought it inadequate. The following night our food was cooked to order and the staff were very attentive. We’re not people that moan but we felt justified in raising this. Jet2 had forewarned us of some work that was being done in the hotel but we were informed it would not be near us and would only be between 9am and 4pm. We weren’t overly concerned as we would be out and about by then anyway. By 8.15 most mornings the work had started and we could hear hammering and drilling in rooms below us. Our Jet2 reps in the hotel were aware of this and were trying to liaise with the hotel. We were offered a room change which we declined as we liked the sea view we had and I didn’t really want to pack and then unpack though we did appreciate the offer. We were also offered a late checkout which we could not use as we were flying home at 11.40. We were offered a spa session which we were unable to accept as our daughter was too young to be allowed in. So we settled for a complimentary house drink with our evening meal. I appreciate that the hotel may need to do upgrading and maintenance but peak season doesn’t seem to be the best time to do it and better communication between the hotel and Jet2 would be beneficial. I would still recommend the hotel but not necessarily the evening meal, there are plenty of restaurants in the resort offering better value for money. We could have easily eaten out each night for the equivalent of the cost of adding on half board to our Jet2 booking. The hotel has a good reputation and a very impressive reception area but there are some issues that need addressing for them to keep guests happy. Loose pool tiles and damaged sunbeds, on going noise in rooms and either a better evening meal experience or don’t offer evening meals at all. Staff were very friendly and Jet2 reps tried their best to resolve issues with guests. I received a complimentary voucher for a cocktail or cava as I had my birthday while I was there, this was emailed to my junk so keep a look out if you’re also celebrating while at the hotel.
Just returned from an adult family holiday in Vulcano. We booked up rooms with the Up experience and it did not disappoint at all. The Up terrace was great with premium drinks, good food and great staff, we found very little that would disappoint. Plenty of beds and the best views from the roof. Hotel staff were very pleasant and approachable. We had a problem with a pigeon and hotel sorted it very quickly and cleaned up. Definitely will return
Disgusting, unclean, infestation, staff are rude, management don’t care
Very disappointed this year been going for years and now it seems like this was the final time. Bird mess constantly on the balcony I know you can’t help it but sometimes it went 2-3 days without being cleaned. Sub standard house keeping even leaving dirty cups and glasses in the room( no reception there wasn’t liquid in them) body wash dispenser never being filled up. And like every year we paid top money to use the UP! Which wow has this lost its appeal even one day running out of food by 13:08. Understaffed for the amount of people you are now profiteering on by allowing so many up. One day the pool is red hot next day freezing cold. The downstairs pool well wow what can I say (see photos) if anyone’s asking why didn’t we see somebody we did and the reaction was the lady looking at us on front desk like we had spat on the floor and lied to her.
Somebody needs to wake up from the spring group and listen
