Amazing hotel
Beautiful, spotless hotel. Rooms are very spacious, clean and very well designed, beds are huge and really comfortable. We were allocated floor 4 with a gorgeous view of the pool and sea. All inclusive drinks were brilliant, not just your local brands but premium brands too, cocktails were amazing (and strong). Never an issue getting a sunbed even when we arrived around lunchtime there were plenty of bed available and plenty of shade. Hotel staff can not do enough for you, always friendly, polite, happy and on hand to help. Food was plentiful, hot and different everyday, my 16year old daughter who is fussy has never eaten so much. Several fresh cooking stations offering a variety of foods from pasta, fish, meat, rice and noodles. Drinks served at your table and always a staff member around if you require a top up. Entertainment is low key, but that suited us as we wanted a truly relaxing holiday. You can join in during the daytime if you wish but you aren’t pushed into anything. Evening entertainment could be a little better as it’s just local singers etc which is fine, but maybe a gala night or something thrown into the mix would be great.
We truly had an exceptional holiday and wished we had stayed longer.
If you like a walk, go to the top of the road, turn left and left again and follow the loop round past the Hard Rock hotel plenty of shops for mooch, restaurants if you fancy a drink. There was also a small rocky beach area were we discovered lots of fish and crabs in the rock pools and the most stunning views. A 15 minute taxi ride to the harbour where you’ll find more shops, restaurants and boat trips.
If you’re on the fence about this hotel, don’t hesitate just book it and you won’t regret it.

August couples stay
We just got back from a 5 night stay at the Bahia escape, we had a lovely relaxing holiday. The bedrooms were modern, spacious and had everything we needed. Ignore the reviews on sunbeds, we had no issues even driving at 2pm on our first day we managed to find sunbeds and shade, big part of my holiday is enjoying a lie in, setting an alarm to secure a sunbed isnt needed here. Hoorah!
Shame we couldn't use the club pool, seems such a waste of a lovely pool to have just 2 guests some days using it and everyone else is more packed in round the other pools.
Didn't find the queues for the pool bar an issue, max 5 min wait for a handmade cocktail is worth the wait for me. I do think they are missing a trick to allow self serve soft drinks by the pool, its lovely to have a handmade drink but when you just want a diet coke and need to stand inline you can see why some find it frustrating.
Sadly we wasn't able to use the steak restaurant as we only stayed for 5 nights, shame this rule as many other hotels are one per stay. Couldn't bring myself to pay 55euro for a steak and pay for the wine youd get as all inclusive if you used the other restaurant.
Disappointed at dinner as it was hard to get drinks with your dinner at the buffet restaurant, one night we asked 3 times for 2 glasses of wine and never got them. The last 2 nights I saw where they kept the AI wine so went and filled it up myself. Would run alot smoother again with a few self serve options. Staff seem so rushed off their feet there was alot of breakages probably because they are trying to keep up rushing around. One morning, was served a coffee, went up to get some fruit for breakfast and the whole table was cleared, coffee cleared away we hadn't finished and was frustrating after waiting so long for the coffee. I would recommend taking something with you of no value to leave on your table to avoid that. Probably another sign the staff are so busy they don't have time to be attentive to who's just arrived and who needs drinks. Hotel should consider some self serve here or employee more staff if they want to keep the waiting service.
We had a fab evening star gazing at Mount Teide would recommend that.
We overall had a lovely stay just a few improvements the hotel could put into place for maximum enjoyment for its customers.
Teide bar makes excellent cocktails and we enjoyed the nightly music.

Amazing
We absolutely loved our stay at the Bahia principe escape Tenerife. The hotel was beautiful. The pool was a great size with lots of sunloungers around as well as another section opposite for sunloungers too as the pool sunloungers do get taken quite quickly. The room was LOVELY. Very spacious, clean and modern. We had the junior suite which is the standard room but it felt as though we were in a premium room. There is a mini bar in the room which is fully stocked when you arrive and everyday they replenish with water, tea and coffee. The staff have been so lovely and helpful during our stay which just makes the experience extra special. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are very nice with a variety of food choices to choose from every night. Staff come round and take your drink orders making it feel like a restaurant more than an all inclusive buffet however at breakfast there is a selection of lovely juices, smoothies and milkshakes that you can help yourself too. You are able to sit inside or outside for all and staff happily show you to a table. There is a very lovely snack bar where you can sit down outside with a sea view and order food from a menu rather than a buffet all included in the all inclusive. This was very nice and we sometimes went here instead of having lunch at the buffet restaurant as the food was very lovely and you could choose from a selection of starters, mains and deserts. One night we had dinner at the Gofio restaurant and it was lovely and would definitely recommend. The service was great and really made it feel like you was out for a nice dinner and not still within your all inclusive range. Location of the hotel is a 15 minute taxi from las amaericas costing around €24 or 30 min bus from the top of the road which is very convenient costing around €2-3 each. There are no near beaches which is a shame however we didn’t feel like we wanted to leave the hotel anyway because we loved it here! The pool bar is great with lots of selection clearly highlighted on a menu with asterisks as to what was included in the all inclusive range. We particularly loved the strawberry mojito and they definitely was not stingy with the alcohol! There is live music every evening near the indoor bar which is very fun and they encourage you to get up dancing. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxing and we would love to come back again as we know it will be a guaranteed lovely holiday!

We had a fantastic stay and are already thinking about booking again!
First of all, a MASSIVE shout-out to Erica and Sidney from the entertainment team – especially Erica! She was absolutely brilliant. She got us involved in the games, had us laughing and really made an effort to make sure everyone was having a good time. Her energy and personality really stood out and she genuinely added something extra to our holiday. The hotel has an absolute gem in Erica – make sure you look after her! 👏
The food was spot on throughout our stay, all the staff we dealt with were friendly and polite, and our room was cleaned every day. No complaints at all on that front.
There were only a couple of little things I’d mention.
When I booked, I was told that because we were staying for 3 days we would receive one à la carte dining experience. However, once there, we found out you actually have to stay for a week to qualify. This was disappointing and really needs to be made clearer when booking so guests know exactly what they’re getting.
The pool bar could also get extremely busy and the queues were a bit silly at times. One suggestion would be to have self-service beer and soft drinks, leaving the actual bar for cocktails and spirits. I think that would make a massive difference and ease the congestion. That being said, we could just walk downstairs to the main bar and get a drink without any problem, so it certainly didn’t spoil our holiday.
Overall, these are minor points compared with how much we enjoyed the stay. Great food, clean rooms, lovely staff and fantastic entertainment.
And once again, special praise for Erica – she really helped make the holiday for us!

Has potential, but service not good
Hotel has recently gone through a refit, so rooms are lovely, pool area nice and clean and modern looking, food areas are lovely too…. Service not so good, having to queue for over 30 minutes just to get a soft drink pretty much every day from the one and only bar any where near the pool. Only one toilet too near the bar, they seem to have sectioned off areas for the ‘executive club’ taking up space that could be additional toilets / bar areas, literally 200 ish around the pool for 1 bar / toilet, ‘club’ area had 2 holiday makers each day. Really struggled to get drinks in the restaurant too, staff where distracted…
