Be Live Adults Only Tenerife

It was my first solo holiday and first time going north, I absolutely LOVED it, i was abit wary of the food after reading mixed reviews but needn't of worried there was plenty of choice and all lovely, staff were friendly and approachable, lovely Jewelery counter in reception so even got some christmas presents in, the only down side that may put me off going again was the lifts were barely working and there was so many stairs, if the lifts were working it would of been 100%from me! Im still debating a return visit as only stayed 5nights so I didnt get to do excursions I wanted to do, if you struggle with mobility it isnt the hotel for you due to how many stairs there are and I was only on floor 2! A few sunbeds were broken but all in all i didnt really have a issue getting one, the bar shut at around 11pm and there didnt appear to be much going on entertainment wise but that wasn't a issue as I was more than happy with a relaxed holiday. I stayed here as a solo female traveler looking for an affordable, hassle-free all-inclusive option, as solo room surcharges can often be ridiculous. Be Live Adults Only Tenerife delivered fantastic value for money, though there is one major caveat potential guests should know about. The Pros: Location (5/5): The absolute highlight of this hotel. It’s in a perfect spot! When you step outside, you have views of Mount Teide in the background. It’s right near the beach, an outdoor swimming lane area, and Loro Parque zoo. It’s also just a short walk along the coast to the historic old town, the fishing port, tapas bars, and beautiful shopping streets full of character. Staff & Service (5/5): The staff are incredibly warm, helpful, and friendly. I checked in late around 9 PM and they immediately reminded me I had 45 minutes to grab dinner before the restaurant closed. Massage: I booked a 50-minute full body massage at the hotel for just €55, which was amazingly cheap for hotel rates. The masseuse was incredible and managed to release all the tension and knots in my back and shoulders. Cleanliness (5/5): The hotel is kept very clean throughout. Food & Entertainment (3.5) Solid for a budget all-inclusive. The buffet had plenty of options with tasty, fresh salads, fish, chicken, rice dishes, soup, and paella. The evening entertainment was very nostalgic—a fun 80s/90s vibe with karaoke and tribute acts like Michael Jackson and George Michael. The Cons: Heavy Smoking Environment: This was the biggest downside for me. My room smelled like cigarette smoke upon arrival, and opening the balcony door only brought in a rush of cigarette, cigar, and weed smoke from outside. There doesn't seem to be a designated smoking area, so smokers light up everywhere around the pool and outdoor grounds. It felt impossible to escape the smell, which led me to spend most of my days exploring the town and beach instead of lounging by the pool. Dated Rooms: The bedrooms are quite dated (a bit of an 80s feel), but despite the cigarette smell, the bed was comfortable. Overall Verdict: Because of the low price point, the hotel naturally attracts a certain low-budget demographic—expect a heavy-drinking, heavy-smoking crowd. However, everyone was friendly, the staff were lovely, and the experience was solid overall. If you are a nonsmoker or sensitive to smoke, you might struggle with the pool area, but if you want an unbeatable, low-cost base to explore Puerto de la Cruz, it’s worth it.
