Don't eat the tapas or use the evening restaurant.
Hotel is great, pool bar/restaurant and Ocean breeze bar are fab but the evening restaurant is one to be missed. The tapas is terrible for 19.99 euros per person. We asked for a discount as the paella was cold. We were eventually offered a 2.5% discount off the bill after a confrontational exchange but we deserved more as Veronica (I believe as that was the name on the receipt but it was the girl with the facial piercing and blue eyes) was rude and gave poor service. She doesn't appear to be suited to a hospitality role. The other waitress was apologetic. Veronica stated as we had said we were happy with food when she checked about 2 minutes after food had been delivered to the table (but the paella had not been tasted at that point) nothing could be done. No discount could be given. She also advised us that there is nowhere to leave a review to warn others of this poor service but here I am on trip advisor doing exactly that. We told the other waitress that the paella was cold & she advised she would talk to the chef. Would recommend the hotel for a lovely clean inexpensive get away but would not recommend the restaurant. This experience has tarnished our stay a little especially as my Spanish speaking friend could hear Veronica speaking about us unkindly when she returned to her colleague. Not professional. We still have a few days left of our stay but we will definitely not be visiting the Santa Barbara restaurant again.

Santa Barbara Golf & Ocean Club Tenerife Family Holiday
This is our third holiday at this fabulous resort. Just got to say it feels like home abroad. The facilities are fabulous and the rooms clean and spacious. We requested a particular apartment and whilst not the exact room it was on the floor below directly below the one we had requested and had exactly the same accommodation and massive balcony with a fabulous sea view. During my visit I had a sun allergy and had to find a pharmacy one evening before closing time. I asked at reception if they knew which pharmacy would still be open and they directed me there. I began walking and with some way to go I was offered a lift by the Resort Manager who had overheard the conversation in reception and decided to get his car and give me a lift. This was totally unexpected but what a selfless act. Above and beyond!!! That’s the sort of service they try to give to all customers!!!! We have already booked a 14 night stay there again next September!!! Can’t speak highly enough about the hotel!!!!

More then a five for this fantastic place
If I could give this place more than 5 I would. What an amazing place. We have been to the Golf a number of times and this place is amazing. What really makes it so good is the staff. We did not encounter one member of staff who wasn’t friendly, helpful and didn’t go above and beyond for you. It actually looks like a place where people enjoy their job. The grounds are spotless. The poor area is great and the sunbed system run by such a friendly man is amazing. You book your sunbed the day before via him Or a WhatsApp service. It’s brilliant. Our 2 bedroom apartment was gorgeous with views over the pool and sea. It was huge. Big balcony and 3 bathrooms. The only downside is the bar above our room had music playing from 9-11. The room would be perfect if you wasn’t someone who went to bed early like we do. It’s not a reason to mark the property down and it’s a lovely apartment and would be good for someone. There is a well stocked shop on site at reasonable prices for the convenience. The pool bar is will stocked. A little slow at times but always happy staff which is great to see. The reception staff go above and beyond for you and you can contact them through WhatsApp with any issues. They reply straight away. We booked to come back in May 2027 and we booked it through reception with Jenny she was so helpful and very patient with us. All staff on reception were great. Cleaners wonderful too. We used the spa while we were there and our therapist was a lovely English lady who was very good at her job. We can’t wait to come back and have asked for a quiet room which they have noted on our booking. Don’t hesitate to book this place. The views, staff and location really are one of the best of the Golf. Roll on May 2027

Great experience, loved this place!
I very rarely leave reviews but I felt the reviews I had read had really helped me on this trip. I was holidaying solo for the first time in a long time and read a lot of reviews for various places as wanted to make sure I ended up somewhere I would feel safe and comfortable. The Santa Barbara hotel was excellent from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. The reception area was lovely and looks and feels far grander than a 3*. The rooms are huge, very clean and had everything you needed. Air con worked great too which is always a bonus! The pool area was also very clean and there were plenty of sunbeds, there was a booking system which I thought made life so much easier, they were free but the towels had a charge. Great selection of food in the pool bar. The outside bar area was really nice and had entertainment every night. There were plenty of restaurants a short walk away which were reasonably priced and had great food. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again.
A piece of Paradise with a wonderful staff team.
We have just returned from another wonderful holiday here. With friendly welcome from Laetitia, a lovely check in from Paco and the wonderful Santa Barbara aroma, we knew we were back home! This is such a beautifully kept resort, every department takes great pride in keeping it immaculate and greeting you whenever they see you. We find that we always fall quickly into our "Santa Barbara routine", using our Ten Mas cards to take the 470 bus for lovely days out to nearby beauty spots like El Medano and 415 to Las Galletas. On Thusdays we take the free bus to Siam Mall and wander round the shops or go down to the coast. Lode was doing an excellent job allocating loungers. He was going round with his clipboard and checking that people were on the right loungers and taking names and room numbers, helping you to feel super safe. Our appartment was beautiful, pristinely upkept for us by Odry who took extra care ensuring that after washing the floors were dried and not slippery as I have mobility issues. The Management and whole Reception team were brilliant, on hand to offer encouragement as I struggle with my mobility and am not particularly well. This encouragement really spurred me on. Thank you everyone, it was greatly appreciated. You really are the best team. We cannot wait to return and hope to see you soon.
