We chose this hotel specifically to mark our children’s 16th and 18th birthdays – a special celebration for our group of 23 family members. Having booked many holidays through Love Holidays before, we expected the 5-star standard advertised, but what we got was completely unacceptable. This was the worst holiday experience we have ever had, and our celebration was entirely ruined.

Rooms in Poor Condition & Basic Facilities Failed

We paid for family rooms but were given separate rooms, splitting our family of four across rooms four doors apart – no suitable alternatives were available when we complained. Facilities were poorly maintained:

• The air conditioning in one room stopped working entirely, leaving temperatures at 32°C; in our room it was locked at a minimum 20°C and cut out 4–5 times every night, made worse by repeated power cuts.

• The door panel fell off one room door as we closed it – we have photos to show this.

• Other issues included blocked sinks with foul smells and almost no water pressure, a wardrobe only 10cm deep with nowhere to put luggage, broken hair dryers, shampoo dispensers filled with shower gel, and worn, holed towels. Cleaning standards were also very poor.

Dining Was Unsafe, Disorganised & Below Standard

There was no clear labelling for vegetarian, vegan or allergy-friendly food – items marked as suitable for special diets actually contained meat, and staff with limited English regularly told us dishes were vegetarian when they were not. Food quality was very poor, and supplies often ran out long before meals ended with no restocking.

We were refused table reservations even though other guests were allowed them, so our large group could never sit together – teenagers were left stuck at tiny children’s tables far away from the rest of us. Advertised a la carte dining was not available at all, drinks service was extremely slow, and we were told drinks were self-service while seeing other guests being served at their tables.

Our Birthday Celebrations Were Disrespected

For my daughter’s birthday, we asked for one table for our whole group of 23 but only got space for 12. Midway through taking photos with the complimentary cake, a waiter removed it and told us to leave so the table could be given to others, despite our confirmed arrangement.

Unsafe & Uncomfortable Facilities

Pool tiles were dangerously slippery – we saw multiple guests slip and fall – and sunbed towels were dirty and worn. The lobby was the only indoor seating but only offered water, no hot drinks or refreshments. Staff regularly turned off lights and air conditioning while guests were present, saying they ran on timers. There was no extra cooling in outdoor areas even in 37°C heat, and we only found out about daytime snacks from other guests as they were never advertised.

Verdict

This hotel does not come close to 5-star quality, and the description is misleading advertising. We paid for a special celebration and got substandard, unsafe conditions instead. We have formally requested a full refund and urge anyone considering booking here to look elsewhere – save your money and your special occasions.

Now been going to this hotel for the last five years and really not a bad word to say we were always made welcome as we got to know alot of the personally and specifically the entertainment team my brother from another mother Husyien ,Mustafa, Artur and Dj emre all the bar staff are top notch too Yousaf ,Hamza, Mehmit to many to mention the hotel is in a great location lovley views and enough shops locally, there is a shop in the hotel run by Ali great man and good service,only issue is the main resturant which dont really cateer for british but there are other alternatives the food quarter but in previous years has been open later

Berfin, top coffee, very nice service, awesome work, always with smile on her face, every coffee from her will be unforgetable for us
