Amzing!

We chose Susesi for its facilities (pier, amazing rooms, spacious bathrooms, pools), and services (cleanliness, fantastic food, safety), which somehow keep getting better each year. We were not at all disappointed! There are so many activities (both for kids and for adults) you cannot possibly get bored, even nightlife options were available and very cool. Therefore it is very worth it to choose this hotel for a relaxing holiday with many options to make it entertaining (everything you see on the website is really accurate!!! Even better in reality) However, the thing that is most worth mentioning is how they handled a very stressful situation. During one of the last nights we had a medical emergency and had to go to the hospital in the middle of the night. Upon calling for help we had many helpful people come up to our room who gave first aid and who called an ambulance. One of them even advised us how to deal with the medical system. They even gave us a free of charge ride to the hospital! During our stay at the hospital, they checked in via messages, and upon coming back to the hotel they sent another private transfer to comfortably pick us up from the hospital. That day they even agreed to bring us some lunch to our room so we wouldn’t have to go to the restaurant ourselves. They brought us bananas and let us take tea and food upstairs to avoid noise. Early in the morning the day of our flight they prepared us some food to take with us. Honestly, during such stressful moments we couldn’t have asked for better help! Thank you and we wish to return in better health soon

100% you should visit

Very nice hotel. A lot of food and drinks. You can have a good time at the beach and in the pool areas. Everyday different concerts, so in the evening it’s never boring. )

Perfect hotel

It was a good week, we didn’t feel the time pass, and enjoyed every day. The room was confortable, the pool was clean and finally the entertainment staff was really cool and good with us, especially at night.

Very disappointing experience – definitely NOT a luxury resort

Very disappointing experience – definitely NOT a luxury resort

Unfortunately, Susesi Luxury Resort was a huge disappointment for us. After reading so many extremely positive reviews before our trip, we arrived with high expectations. After spending 7 days here, I honestly struggle to understand where some of those reviews are coming from.

This was probably the most difficult and disappointing 7-day hotel stay we have ever had. We are not particularly demanding guests and normally don't complain about small things, but here there were simply too many problems to ignore.

Animation & entertainment – 4/10

The animation is practically non-existent. Before booking, I saw many reviews claiming that the animation and entertainment were “top level”. After staying here for a week, I genuinely have no idea what those people experienced because it certainly wasn't what we experienced.

There is almost no atmosphere or engaging daytime entertainment.

The evening program is just as disappointing – basic and completely forgettable. This is my seventh visit to Belek, so I have plenty of other Turkish resorts to compare it with. Maybe somebody visiting Turkey for the first time would be impressed, but compared with what other hotels in this area offer, this was extremely weak.

Bars & cocktails – very poor level

This was another major disappointment.

Most of the bartenders simply do not know how to make proper cocktails. If a bartender can ruin something as basic as an Aperol Spritz or Cuba Libre, that already says a lot. And forget about ordering a Sex on the Beach – unbelievably, a so-called luxury resort doesn't even have cranberry juice.

Many cocktails tasted like random mixtures of ingredients with no understanding of proportions or the actual recipe.

To be fair, we found around three bartenders who were genuinely good at their job, knew what they were doing and could make proper cocktails. Those few people basically saved the bar experience for us. Unfortunately, the general standard of bartending was far below what I would expect from a hotel in this price category.

We also experienced disrespectful behaviour from some members of the bar staff, which we reported to Guest Relations.

Waiters & communication

The waiter service wasn't particularly impressive either. We also heard several complaints from other guests about rude or disrespectful service.

Another surprising issue is communication. Many staff members seem unable to communicate properly in either English or Russian. Of course, nobody expects perfect English, but in an international five-star resort at this price level, staff should at least be able to communicate with guests about basic requests.

This is definitely an area where the hotel needs significant improvement.

Food – average and repetitive

The food isn't terrible, but there is absolutely nothing special about it. I would describe it as average all-inclusive resort food.

During our 7-day stay, on around five consecutive days you could find basically the same dishes in the same places, with only minor changes.

Even some very basic dishes were poorly prepared. For example, the syrniki were still raw dough inside. I genuinely hope nobody became ill from eating them.

Considering the price and the “Luxury” positioning of the hotel, we expected considerably better quality and variety.

Safety – broken pool tiles and GLASS near the pool

This is where things become more serious.

There are damaged and sharp tiles inside the swimming pool. I managed to cut my toes twice, on two different feet, because of them. Some of the pool ladders also felt loose and unstable.

We also found broken glass near the swimming pool and informed the hotel.

We waited approximately one hour for somebody to come and clean it up. Nobody came.

Eventually, together with other guests, we cleaned the glass ourselves because leaving broken glass next to a swimming pool where adults and children are walking barefoot is obviously dangerous.

We remained in that area for approximately 3–4 hours, and during that entire time we did not see anybody from the hotel come to deal with it.

What made the situation almost ridiculous was that later we received a message saying that their employee had cleaned it up.

We were there. We cleaned it ourselves with other guests.

This was extremely disappointing and raises serious questions about how guest complaints and safety issues are actually handled.

Rooms desperately need renovation

The rooms are tired and clearly showing their age.

Tiles are loose, there are visible signs of mould, and the shower leaked water in every direction. The beds weren't particularly comfortable either.

One positive point is that the bathroom was spacious.

But overall, the hotel – not only the rooms – feels like it is asking for a serious renovation. Loose tiles, damaged pool surfaces, unstable ladders and other signs of wear are simply not what you expect from something marketed as a luxury resort.

Too many children for our preference

There are a huge number of families with children here. For some guests that will obviously be a positive, so this is more about personal preference.

For us, however, there were simply too many. The pools and sea areas often felt dominated by children, and unfortunately we encountered quite a few badly behaved children whose parents seemed uninterested in supervising them.

If you are a couple looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, I would definitely keep this in mind.

Even the game room costs extra

There is an entertainment/game room with bowling and arcade machines for children and adults.

Almost every machine costs around €1 per game.

Of course, €1 itself is not a huge amount of money. The point is the principle: after paying a significant amount to stay at a hotel marketed as a luxury all-inclusive resort, you still have to keep paying separately for simple children's arcade games.

For us, this says quite a lot about the overall concept.

Guest Relations – lots of smiling, very little action

Perhaps one of the most frustrating parts of the experience was how complaints were handled.

We spoke with Guest Relations about several problems, including disrespectful staff behaviour and other issues.

The experience was basically the same: you explain the problem, they smile politely, nod their heads, say goodbye – and apparently that's the end of it.

We saw very little evidence of actual follow-up or meaningful action.

The broken-glass incident was perhaps the best example: nobody came while we were there, guests cleaned it themselves, and afterwards we received a message claiming that a hotel employee had taken care of it.

That tells you everything you need to know about how seriously we felt our complaints were being taken.

Conclusion

After seven days here, I simply cannot understand the “Luxury” part of Susesi Luxury Resort.

Average and repetitive food, poorly prepared dishes, very weak animation, boring evening entertainment, inconsistent and sometimes disrespectful service, poor cocktail quality, communication problems, tired rooms, damaged pool tiles, questionable safety standards and ineffective handling of complaints.

Yes, there were some good employees – particularly the few bartenders who genuinely knew their profession – and they deserve credit. Unfortunately, a handful of good staff members cannot compensate for the overall experience.

This is my seventh visit to Belek, so I'm not comparing Susesi with some unrealistic idea of what a Turkish resort should be. I'm comparing it with other hotels and experiences in the same destination.

Before booking, I read countless glowing reviews and watched positive videos about this resort. After experiencing it ourselves, I find many of those overwhelmingly positive descriptions very difficult to reconcile with reality.

We obviously cannot know whether online reviews are genuine or not, but our experience was so different from what we had read online that it honestly made us question how representative some of those reviews really are.

For the amount of money this hotel charges, it is simply not worth it.

We came here to relax and instead had probably the hardest 7 days we have ever experienced on a holiday. We are not people who normally complain about every small detail, but this was simply too much.

Would we return? Absolutely not.

Would we recommend Susesi Luxury Resort? No.

If you are considering spending this amount of money on a holiday in Belek, our advice would be to look carefully at other options before booking. In our experience, there are much better choices available for this price level.
