Kemer

Located within metres of the centre of Kemer on Turkey's Mediterranean Coast, this city hotel is ideal for those guests who enjoy being in the centre of a resort allowing easy access to the many amenities available whilst also being close to the beach so that a cooling dip in the sea is within easy reach. Featuring modernly furnished and equipped rooms, the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and a good choice of amenities for both relaxation and entertainment. The resort's main shopping street is just 350m from the hotel and the shingle beach 650m. Public transport runs closeby and for exploring the many attractions in the area such as the city of Antalya, 45 km away and the ruins of Phaselis, 14 km the bus station is 2 km from the hotel. Our hotel, which is located at Kemer center, is 55 km. to the airport, and 45 km. to the city center of Antalya. The beach is at 400 m. distance, and there is free shuttle. Our hotel, that cares to provide a well and clean service within a family atmosphere, has 81 rooms as being 5 family rooms, 12 Trp rooms, 63 standard rooms and 1 handicapped room.

Good location. Nice staff.

Great location and friendly staff, but severely let down by poor amenities and organization

Transfer & Arrival The transfer from Antalya Airport takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arriving at 10:30 PM, I was immediately told there was no room for me and that I would be moved to another hotel. I refused, and within 15 minutes they miraculously found a room—though I had to move to a different room the next morning anyway. After a long day of travelling, this was incredibly stressful. The last thing you want on holiday is wasting a morning changing hotels and unpacking. This is a well deserved hard earned break, this is our time. Furthermore, there was no welcome pack, no information on meal times, and absolutely no arrival snack or water. I was told that because All-Inclusive ends at 10:00 PM, I would have to pay for a drink. Interestingly, I later found out the coffee vending machine by the pool runs 24 hours, but no one bothered to tell me. Rooms & Cleanliness The rooms are clean but desperately in need of updates and repairs. The bathroom was a very tight squeeze, and the shower had mould. On the positive side, complimentary slippers were provided. I chose to only have my room cleaned once because the cleaners left my patio door unlocked afterward, which felt like a security risk. However, I was provided fresh towels quickly whenever requested. Food & Dining Experience The dining situation was highly disappointing: • No Food Labels: None of the dishes are signed. I had to ask what the food was at every single meal. • Limited Choices: There are only ever 4 hot options. Breakfast had freshly made omelettes on three mornings, but otherwise consisted of basic boiled/scrambled eggs, hot dogs, salad, and pastries. Salad and dry cereal. No bread, only sliced baguette. No toaster machine to make toast. Lunch and dinner always consisted of rice, a vegetable dish, a basic salad bar, and just two meat options (fish or chicken). Dessert was limited to one type of cake and two types of mini truffles. • Short Meal Times: Breakfast is 8:00–10:00 AM, Lunch is 12:00–1:30 PM, and Dinner is 7:30–9:00 PM. Because the windows are so short, everyone rushes in at once, creating a crowd and rush for a table. • Dining Environment: Avoid the seating area adjoined to the main restaurant. The staff throw cutlery into metal trays and stack dishes there with zero consideration for diners—the noise is deafening and feels like a school canteen. There is also no table service for drinks; you have to physically leave the dining room and go out to the pool bar to get a drink. Drinks & Entertainment The pool bar is the only bar on-site. The local red and white wine is decent, and they have standard fizzy drinks (like 7Up), but the spirit selection is very limited (for example, there is no rum). Turkish tea and beer available. As for entertainment, there is absolutely nothing to do here except for a Turkish Night held on Wednesdays. Pool, Gym & Beach • The Sunbed Crisis: This hotel holds roughly 180 guests but only provides 45 sunbeds which I find incredibley baffling??? They are packed together so tightly and regimentally that I literally had to stand on my own sunbed just to get onto it, or awkwardly shimmy along the very edge of the pool. • Hotel Amenities: There is a gym, massage services, and a Turkish bath available on-site. Towels. 10 euro deposit. • The Beach: Located about a 10-minute walk away. Be aware that it is not a sandy beach—it is made of huge stones. You will need to hire a day bed or bring a folding chair. Staff & Location The staff were the absolute best part of this hotel. The boys working the restaurant and pool bar were incredibly polite and spoke enough English to greet me warmly. Some of the other staff spoke no English at all, which made communication frustrating at times. The location of the hotel itself is great—it is close to the beach and a lovely promenade filled with bars, water sports, and local shops selling copy handbags, perfume and typical goods. Destination Note Kemer itself is a lovely little place, but it is very heavily oriented toward Russian tourists. I barely met or heard any other English travelers during my entire stay. Summary While the weather was beautiful and the hotel is in a good location, the poor amenities, rigid sunbed layout, and substandard food completely let the holiday down. Would I go back? No. Missed Potential This hotel absolutely has the potential to be a lovely 3-star property. The baseline elements are already there: the location is fantastic, the layout is functional, and the restaurant and bar staff work incredibly hard and are very polite. With a few simple management changes—such as adding simple food labels, extending meal times especially lunch and dinner and offering a basic welcome bottle of water and a snack for late-night arrivals—they could easily turn the guest experience around. A little more entertainment on nights would be very welcome to, especially with it being all inclusive. It is frustrating to see a place with good potential let down by easily fixable issues.

Nice vacation!

Nice location, no noisy streets. Food was very good! 4 times a day 😁 never felt hungry (every day meat or fish) and the bar was also good! If only the WiFi would have been working in room or TV with better quality. YouTube please! 🤭 About 500m from beach, nice walk across the main shopping street. Nice value with that price - will defenitly recommend! Best 4* hotel in Turkay, where we have been 3 times.

Disappointed Havana Hotel Ree

Located near shops and 10 minutes from the beach, staff not overly friendly, never said good morning or thank you, but worked very hard. We arrived at the hotel at 10:50pm to be told there was no room in the hotel for the first night, we were walked to a lesser hotel 3 minutes away, it was like a hostel, really basic, fire alarm hanging off the ceiling, ground floor door couldn't be locked, Aircon unit damaged. We refused to stay there so took our luggage back to the Havana and explained that we would not stay there in the other hotel for the one night. To our surprise they came up with a room in the Havana hotel by 11:30pm. Room was badly maintained, curtains hanging off the rails, smallest shower ever, no headboard on the bed and the bed was not able to be against the wall, about a 12"gap to drop your pillows down onto the dusty floor, shower controls hanging off the wall, toilet flush slipped so you can see between the tiles, the ventilation fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy. Apart from this, the lunch and dinner were very good, tasty, fresh and plentiful, breakfast was limited and no toaster, all inclusive bar was limited, We raised all concerns with the hotel but nothing was resolved. Extremely smokey from the other guests around the pool.

Good value for money but dissapointing housekeeping service

The hotel itself is pleasant, the food is very good and tasty , beers and local alchool ok ,clean pool and nice little flowered garden , but the housekeeping service was disappointing. During our 15-nights stay, our room was not cleaned at all on about five days, and on many other occasions the staff only made the bed and emptied the trash bin. After we left a tip, the housekeeping service was excellent for three days, even decorating the bed with flower petals, but then it returned to the previous standard. Furthermore, although the hotel states that bed linen and towels are changed every three days and the maid service is daily, the bed linen was changed only twice during our entire stay.
