Starlight Resort Hotel

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10. A place I genuinely want to return to.

We stayed at Starlight Resort both in the bungalow area and later for two nights in the main hotel building, so we had a chance to experience both. After our entire stay, I can honestly say that we absolutely loved this place. I would come back without hesitation and would definitely recommend it to others.

Personally, I loved staying in the bungalow area the most.

Our family had two rooms. One room had a king-size bed, while the other had two separate beds pushed together, essentially creating one large bed. The mattresses were quite firm, which we actually loved because we slept incredibly well. The pillows, however, could definitely be more comfortable.

The bungalow rooms were comfortable and clean overall. One had a smaller balcony, while the other had a beautiful large balcony. But honestly, the best part of staying in the bungalow wasn’t even the room itself. It was everything surrounding it.

Every time you walk to your bungalow, you are surrounded by this incredible green landscape. Peacocks are casually walking around, along with chickens and roosters, cats are relaxing everywhere, and the entire area feels peaceful and alive at the same time. There is so much greenery, everything is beautifully maintained, and sometimes it genuinely feels like you are walking through a little fairytale.

A huge thank you to landscape designer Ömer for creating something so beautiful. The landscaping at Starlight is truly exceptional and was one of my favorite things about the entire resort.

We also spent two nights in the main hotel building. Our room was on the fourth floor with a sea view, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. We had a large balcony, the room was very clean and comfortable, and although the furniture isn’t brand new, that didn’t bother us at all. Again, the firm mattress was incredibly comfortable and we slept wonderfully.

The territory of the resort is HUGE. We walked so many steps every single day, but we actually loved it because there is always something beautiful to look at along the way. There are multiple clean swimming pools, beautiful paths and gardens, and I also loved that guests can enjoy the facilities of both Starlight and Sunrise. It gives you so much space and variety.

The food

The food was incredible.

The selection is enormous and there really is something for every taste. There were so many different dishes, desserts, fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish and endless little things to try that we never felt bored with the food, even during a longer stay.

The fruit especially was unbelievably good. Coming from the United States, I could really taste the difference. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful.

Even something as simple as the loaded baked potatoes became one of our favorite little food stops. We kept going back for them.

And somehow, despite eating extremely well throughout the vacation, I actually came home 5 kg lighter! Between the fresh food, swimming and all the walking around this enormous resort, apparently Starlight worked better than a diet. :)

We also visited the Turkish à la carte restaurant as a group of six, and it was such a memorable evening. The setting and view were beautiful, the food was delicious and the service was wonderful. It felt like an experience, not simply another dinner.

Beach and sea

The beach and sea were beautiful and clean.

Yes, the beach is pebbly, but we joked that it was a free massage for our feet. :)

We always had towels, there were plenty of places to relax, and we absolutely loved the pier. We even jumped into the sea from it. And the sunsets from there are absolutely gorgeous.

The people make this place special

As beautiful as the resort is, what really made our vacation memorable was the staff.

There are so many genuinely kind, friendly and welcoming people working here.

Anastasia at reception was incredibly helpful to us throughout our stay.

A very special thank you to Asel, who helped us when we needed medical assistance. We had a language barrier with the medical staff because they didn’t speak Russian or English, and Asel stepped in and helped us translate and communicate. At a moment like that, having someone willing to help means more than people realize, and our family was extremely grateful.

Thank you also to Svetlana from Guest Relations, who helped us with the restaurant reservation for a birthday celebration. We really appreciated her help.

And I absolutely have to mention Ömer at the bar!

There was constantly a line at his bar, and after meeting him, you understand why. He was always smiling, positive and welcoming, mixing different drinks and making people happy. Guests weren’t coming back only for the drinks. They were coming back because of his personality and energy.

Entertainment and atmosphere

The entertainment team was fantastic.

My parents had such a good time. They danced, enjoyed the activities and genuinely had fun, which made me incredibly happy to see.

Another thing I didn’t expect was how many wonderful people we would meet during this vacation. We met people from different cities and places, spent time together, laughed, danced and had fun, and some of those people have now become friends.

There is just a very warm atmosphere here.

A separate thank you to the Water Sports team as well. We had an amazing experience with them, and the videos they created for us were fantastic. They captured so many emotions that watching those videos afterward immediately brings us back to the vacation. Nur you are amazing.

A few things that could be improved

Of course, no hotel is perfect.

The pillows weren’t very comfortable for us, and I did find a couple of hairs in our bungalow room, which wasn’t pleasant. However, housekeeping came every day and overall the rooms and resort were kept very clean, so I wouldn’t describe cleanliness as a problem.

Another thing that genuinely surprised me was the lack of an iron in the rooms. This was actually the first time I had ever encountered this in a hotel, and it did cause some inconvenience during a longer stay. We eventually found a solution, so it certainly didn’t ruin our vacation, but I really think having access to an iron in the room would make things much easier for guests.

Communication with some of the guides could also occasionally be confusing, almost as if we were speaking different languages even when technically we weren’t. :) But again, this was a very small part of our overall experience.

Check-in and check-out went smoothly, housekeeping came daily, and overall we were very happy with the service.

Why I would come back

For me, the best thing about Starlight is something that’s difficult to describe until you’ve actually stayed there.

You really rest here.

You stop thinking about work, traffic, schedules and all the constant noise and stress of life in a big city.

Instead, you wake up surrounded by greenery. You walk past peacocks on your way to breakfast. You swim in the sea, eat delicious food, watch your parents dance, meet new people, laugh, watch the sunset and simply enjoy your day.

You remember that life doesn’t always have to be rushed.

Sometimes you just need to be exactly where you are, enjoy the people around you and live in the moment.

That’s what Starlight gave us.

We came here as a family, my parents had an amazing time, and we left with so many wonderful memories and even new friends.

I genuinely dream of coming back, walking through those beautiful gardens again, seeing the peacocks, going to the sea and experiencing that atmosphere one more time.

10/10 from our family. We would absolutely return.
