We had a great week on holiday. We are a family of 7, myself, husband and 5 daughters aged from 16 to 4. Due to being a family of 7 we had 2 rooms booked which id emailed prior to arriving to ask if we could have connected rooms and rooms next door to each other, they couldn’t guarantee but said they’d try their best. When we arrived my husband asked about the rooms being near each other or connected with a connecting door they offered us a “family suite” which we accepted. The room was very small, 2 bedrooms 1 with a double bed and en suite the other bedroom had 2 single beds and a the living room had an L shaped sofa which has been separated and some bed sheets thrown on to make it look like a sofa bed which it wasn’t. There were only enough beds for 6 out of 7 to sleep luckily our 4 year old and 7 year old only small so could share a bed. The room wasn’t very clean but we just stayed with what we were given as we thought it may be better the devil you know. Housekeepers came in daily to make beds, towels were only topped up if we called reception to ask for more towels as was toilet roll. We left tips for the housekeepers hoping it would make them leave us towels and toilet roll wicker us having to call reception but it didn’t. The food wasn’t very nice, as with most all inclusive it’s very repetitive but even other hotels we have stayed at the food has been edible. We ended up eating out quite a lot because of this which we hadn’t really budgeted for as we’d paid over £7000 a week we had only realty budgeted for 1 or 2 meals out. On the way home 2 of our daughters ended up with severe diarrhoea and nausea, one of my daughters actually ended up spoiling herself on the plane as her stomach was that severe. Today I’ve ended up the same. We spent a lot of time in the pool so not sure if this is something we’d picked up from the pool as we hadn’t eaten from the hotel for a few days before heading home. We made the most of the week and did actually have a great time despite all of this but just be aware as we are not the only family that have ended up poorly after staying here. I’ve seen quite a few people putting it on the Facebook group. I just wish I’d seen the Facebook group before we’d booked so I couldn’t been aware and made a decision with this in mind.
I stayed in a standard pool-view room. Unfortunately, the room was damp and, despite several requests, it was not deep cleaned until day 8 of our stay. I tried to pay for an upgrade, but none were available.
Overall, the hotel did not appear particularly clean. Rooms were only serviced with the beds being made and towels changed. On several occasions I had to source my own toilet paper and coffee supplies for the room.
The food was below average. It was edible, but easily the poorest food I have experienced at an all-inclusive hotel. There were also cats everywhere around the resort, which I found unhygienic.
The pool areas did not seem to be regularly cleaned or maintained. On a positive note, the staff were lovely, worked extremely hard, and the drinks were good, especially the cocktails in the lobby bar. It was also refreshing not to have the usual competition for sunbeds around the pool.
The waterpark facilities were limited, with only seven slides available. My teenage children were bored after a couple of days as there was little else to keep them entertained.
Perhaps I am used to a higher standard of hotel, but this experience did not meet my expectations. My daughter became unwell at the airport on our journey home and remained sick for two days afterwards. Having since read Facebook reviews, it appears lots of other guests reported similar illnesses during their stay.
For a holiday that cost nearly £4,000, I found the overall experience really disappointing and felt it offered poor value for money.
I genuinely struggle to understand where some of the highly positive reviews come from. While the staff deserve credit for their hard work and friendliness, the cleanliness, food quality, and overall maintenance of the hotel were disappointing.
I would happily return to Lara Beach, as the area itself is lovely and has plenty to offer. However, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again. Unfortunately, the issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and food quality outweighed the positives of the holiday.
Excellent holiday, staff attentive and polite, plenty of food to choose from. Good location
The facilities are incredible and the staff are so lovely and helpful. The food, cleanliness and everything else is the best I have ever seen. I have travelled to some of the best hotels and resorts in the world. This was the best by miles.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A fantastic stay at Greenwood Suites Antalya
We had a lovely holiday at Greenwood Suites Antalya. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and overall we had a great experience.
This was our first time travelling to an all-inclusive holiday with our son’s severe milk and egg allergies, so we were extremely anxious before travelling. We honestly didn’t know how things would work when it came to food and keeping him safe, so the care and understanding we received from the hotel made such a huge difference to us.
From the moment we explained our son’s allergies, the team were incredibly accommodating and took his allergies very seriously. We were able to meet the head chef and explain everything, and when we asked if they could send us a menu, they arranged for one to be provided so that we could look through it and choose what would be suitable for our son.
We were also given a WhatsApp contact so we could pre-order his food for the following day, which was absolutely fantastic. It meant we could plan ahead rather than having to worry about what he would eat each day, and it gave us so much peace of mind.
A very special thank you to Akif in Guest Relations, who was fantastic in facilitating everything and helping us throughout our stay. His support was greatly appreciated.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to Nurhayat and Mustafa in the restaurant. They were always approachable, and we knew we could go to them and ask for our son’s food to be brought to us. Their kindness and understanding really helped us feel at ease.
And a very special thank you to Damla, one of the head chefs, who was there from day one, ensuring that everything was safe for our son and that his allergies were taken seriously. Knowing that she was personally aware of his allergies and making sure his food was safe gave us enormous reassurance.
The hotel does have a gluten-free menu, which is great. We do think it would be fantastic if Greenwood Suites could consider developing menus or clearer options for other common allergies, particularly milk and egg, as this would make things even easier and less stressful for families travelling with children who have food allergies.
Our advice to other families with allergies would definitely be to contact the hotel before travelling and let them know about any allergies in advance. From our experience, they were extremely accommodating and willing to work with us to make sure our son was catered for safely.
A couple of small points to mention: if you are travelling with children, we would recommend bringing pool shoes, particularly for the little ones. The brown tiles around the children’s splash pool can become extremely slippery when wet.
We did also have a few issues at the snack bar, particularly with staff seeming to ignore our little one when he went up to ask for a drink, which was disappointing. However, this was very much outweighed by the care and attention we received from the restaurant and Guest Relations teams regarding his allergies.
Overall, we would definitely recommend Greenwood Suites Antalya, especially to families. For us, travelling all-inclusive for the first time with our son’s severe allergies was something we were incredibly nervous about, but the support we received helped us relax and enjoy our holiday.
A huge thank you to Akif, Damla, Nurhayat, Mustafa and the wider team for helping make our first all-inclusive experience with his allergies a positive one. It really meant a lot to our family. ❤️
