Wind of Lara Hotel and Spa

I have never stayed at a hotel where the animation team were so rude and unpleasant. They made us feel uncomfortable, and there was very little interaction unless you spoke their language, particularly with the two younger girls.

The cleanliness and management around the pool were shocking. We witnessed a guest holding a child up to urinate in the pool, people wearing shoes in the pool, and a child casually eating sweetcorn and dipping it into the pool. Even worse, a child then soiled the pool. The mother picked the child up and sat them on a sunbed, leaving faeces everywhere, and it was not properly cleaned up.

We informed members of staff about what had happened, but there appeared to be very little concern. The pool was not closed or dealt with appropriately, which I found absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

Several members of staff also openly expressed that they were unhappy in their jobs. You could genuinely feel the frustration and anger among some of the staff, and the atmosphere was very tense.

The building itself is lovely, but unfortunately, the people and the way the hotel was managed completely spoiled the experience for us. I feel management either need to provide better training and support for their staff or employ people who actually want to be there and make guests feel welcome.

I would never recommend this hotel based on our experience.

Sorry if this review sounds blunt, but it is an honest account of what we experienced during our stay.

Spent a week here at Wind of Lara and had an amazing holiday. In particular, the all inclusive drinks/cocktails were really tasty and lots to choose from. The interior of the hotel is stunning and our room was excellent. The hotel has everything you could need: spa, gym, pools, salon, bars, entertainment, shops etc.

During the day, we spent most of our time at the pool which again, had everything we need and was very clean. During the day, the darts games hosted by the entertainment team were great fun. Maybe it was just the time of year we came but the pool area was largely in the shade and not very many beds in the sun so quite hard to get sunbeds in the sun.

We spent our evenings at the entertainment shows and at the bar next to the front door. The bar was beautiful and singer/saxophonist made for immaculate vibes. The shows, however, were a little weird/boring with mediocre singers/dancers performing out of time to random songs.

The all inclusive buffet was good. Food really tasty but a little cold.

When we lost our room key, we went to reception to ask for another and had to pay for this (no problem) but the 2 staff members on the front desk at this time were really rude and seemed really stressed. Other receptionists were lovely.

Finally, we would recommend clicking the do not disturb button before going to sleep. Otherwise, room service will come in very early!

Overall, we had an amazing holiday. Would highly recommend.

Amazing staff everyone was helpful and kind I loved my stay there the activities are endless u can do so many things the rooms were at all time clean and tidy the amenities are amazing too I loved the beach and the aqua park and THE FOOD WAS AMAZING Drinks were good too and good vibes overall with amazing shows and live dancing.
