- Royal Taj Mahal

Boasting a prime location on an area of 40,000 sqm, this magnificent complex offers an architectural style resembling aspects of India's Taj Mahal that will delight even the most discerning visitors. It is just 8 kilometres from the centre of Side, famed for its marvellous historical ruins and offering a wide choice of shopping opportunities. Antalya Airport is 58 km from the hotel. The exclusive guest rooms have been tastefully decorated and provide a wide choice of luxurious amenities for guests to feel a personal touch. Guests will find magnificent gardens, a private golden beach bordering the turquoise Mediterranean Sea as well as an extensive outdoor pool area, perfect for the hottest summer days. Those seeking relaxation can benefit from the comfort of the spa and wellness centre featuring countless Turkish and Thai treatment and massages.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I do not recommend this hotel. We left with bacterial gastroenteritis, and it was absolutely awful — we ended up in the hospital because of it.
The hot water does not work properly and is a constant problem. The temperature fluctuates from one second to the next, going from ice-cold to scalding hot.
The staff do not speak English, making communication extremely difficult.
Overall, a huge disappointment, especially considering how expensive this hotel is.

We would like to thank the whole team at Royal Taj Mahal for a great holiday.
⭐ Overall experience: What impressed us most was the staff. From the moment we arrived until our last day, everyone was friendly, helpful and attentive. Even during the busiest part of the summer season, they managed to make us feel welcome and well cared for. This included the gentleman who welcomed us and took care of our luggage, the reception staff, kitchen and restaurant teams, waiters, staff at the water slides and amusement park, the gentleman who refilled our minibar every day, and our housekeeping lady. We felt very well looked after throughout our stay.
The hotel was completely full during the peak summer season, but everything was well organized. We never had to wait at check-in or check-out, restaurant service was very quick, empty plates were removed almost immediately, and we were always able to find somewhere to sit. Despite the large number of guests, we never had any major problem with crowds or organization.
🛏️ Room - was spacious enough for a family and did not feel cramped.
🍽️ Food - there was a very large selection of food, and we were also happy with the quality.
All members of our family have rather sensitive digestion, so food quality is particularly important to us. During our entire stay, none of us had any digestive problems, which we appreciated very much.
One point: allergens were not labelled, so I would be cautious about recommending the hotel to guests with serious food allergies who need to follow a very strict allergen-free diet.
🌊 Beach & sea - the sea was warm and there was enough space to swim.
🎢 Who I would recommend this hotel to • families with children – the aquapark and amusement park are a huge advantage • people who like having food, drinks and activities available almost all the time • guests who enjoy a lively resort where there is always something happening
🚬 One thing that surprised me: Smoking is allowed in several outdoor buffet/seating areas. Coming from a country where I am now completely used to smoke-free dining areas, it felt unusual to have people smoking traditional cigarettes close to places where others were eating.
Food excellent, animation team and shows are great , hotel is a like small town, you can find something for yourself to enjoy
We are very disappointed with our stay at Royal Taj Mahal and unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel. It certainly does not meet the standards expected from a 5-star resort, and we will definitely not be returning.
Here are the main issues we experienced:
• Every evening there was a very unpleasant smell outside, which made it uncomfortable to spend time outdoors. • The air conditioning was not running in the hotel hallways, making the common areas extremely hot. • We experienced electrical problems and were left without power for more than an hour. • The rooms are not up to the standard you would expect from a 5-star hotel. They feel outdated and need improvement. • The staff were not very friendly or helpful when we reported problems. • One of the biggest disappointments was the language barrier. Only about 10% of the staff spoke English, while most spoke only German and Turkish. This made communication very difficult. • The minibar refrigerator worked only on the first day and then stopped working completely. • The children’s water slides are old, worn out, and appear to be in need of renovation.
Overall, this was far below our expectations for a 5-star resort. There are many hotels in the area offering much better service and facilities for the same price. We do not recommend Royal Taj Mahal, and we will certainly not be coming back.
I was with my family in Taj Mahal for a second time after 5 years again. I must say, that only one thing, which wasnt perfect was first room. We paid extra for superior side sea view for 1 adult and 2 children. We arrived in the night and our room was small, just with double bed and no more bed for my second daughter. In the morning I went to reception and wanted change, first choice was bad, 10% seaview and 90% dirty land. Second choice was nice room with view on Dragon hotel and sea, that room was big, nice and perfect. At the reception, they told me, that it is room for extra rate, I think that that was quality for which I paid. But reception told me, that I will get it for free. My mothers and sisters rooms were nice inside, but view wasnt so good. After that, I must say, that everything else was absolutely perfect. Very nice people, smiling, good working. Nice pools, very tasty food and the sea at this part of turkish riviera is the best. No stones, no deep sea, great for children. Lunapark and aquapark are also nice, everything was working well. Rooms were good cleaned every day and the services which hotel provides are on the high level. Maybe only one minus is poor miniclub area. But when I look at another hotels (I visited a lot of hotels there) I must say, that Taj Mahal is very good choice and I would like to come back again.
