- Jasmin Beach Hotel

The hotel is located in Gumbet, approximately 800 metres from the centre and just 30 metres from the beach. The cosmopolitan resort of Bodrum, with its castle and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, is approximately 3 km away. Guests will find shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife around 400 metres from the hotel. The complex consists of 2- and 3-storey white cube blocks, typical of the local style, set amidst well-maintained gardens. Pretty, brightly-coloured bougainvillea creep up the sides of the buildings in this popular apartment hotel. With 259 rooms in total, the establishment offers a rich variety of services and facilities. There is a choice of 3 outdoor pools and the hotel also has its own section of the sandy beach approximately 30 metres away where sun loungers and parasols can be hired. Guests are welcome to pamper themselves with a massage or SPA treatment.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Date of stay 13th-23rd Sept 26. Room N-431. A beautiful hotel, clean, tidy, lovely gardens and walkways with beautiful flowers everywhere, very helpful staff in all departments. Room, comfortable, the air con was a little difficult to control, no wi-fi in room but was able to get it on balcony. Lovely cleaner, offered to clean and replace towels every day. Fridge, kettle and free safe, fresh water daily and tea/coffee sachets supplied. Main restaurant, food was predictable with something available for all tastes, enough for all even if you need to queue at times for popular dishes, especially the kebabs. The Terrace restaurant offers a fabulous alternative, this is behind the Panorama pool available via a lift to the top floor of the hotel. One free meal per guest per 7 day stay, definately recomend a visit, we booked immediately for a second à-la-carte visit after sampling the free meal, 4 excelent staff working there, Jimmy, who speaks very good english is the main host, Nigel and a younger chef in the kitchen, (sorry didn't get his name) and the larger than life, super enthuastic young Oscar. Food freshly cooked to order, great cocktails. Morning, afternoon and evening entertainment available and well organised. 3 pools and sun terraces to choose from, 2 with open bars, the other had a bar but not open during our stay, no problem with sun beds. Free sunbeds on beach opposite the main hotel, plenty of extra beds stacked up available so no need to rush, there was a young man happy to get the extra bed if asked. A small stroll along the beach to another bar/restaurant called 'Windy Bay' which offers a change, views over the bay and they have a free to use swimming pool attached. We hope to return next year.

I absolutely loved my holidays spent in Jasmine Beach hotel. The staff was very friendly and always helpful, the rooms were clean and cozy and the location is simply excellent. A highlight of my stay was animation team, which was great every single day, especially Biray - always smiling, working hard to entertain the guests and his positive energy was simply contagious. I highly recommend choosing this hotel!
We had an amazing stay! The hotel has a great location - everything is close by and the beach is right outside the hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious and cleaned every day. The atmosphere was fantastic and the entertainment team was absolutely brilliant - always friendly, energetic and making sure everyone was having fun. Thanks to them, we had such a wonderful and memorable holiday! I highly recommend this hotel for both families with children and young adults. We would definitely come back!
If you enjoy sleeping badly, eating oily leftovers and listening to the same 20 songs on repeat, this is the place for you!
Where to begin?
The room: Small would be an understatement. We were right beside the neighbouring hotel and got the pleasure of listening to an extractor fan all night. Nothing says “relaxing holiday” quite like the soothing sound of industrial ventilation.
The bed was approximately as comfortable as sleeping on a paving slab. There was no proper blanket either — apparently towels now double as bedding.
Our room was also right beside the pool, which meant we got front-row seats to the nightly entertainment until almost midnight. And by entertainment, I mean the same handful of songs and some truly painful karaoke played over and over again. Because obviously what every family with young children wants after a day at a resort is to be kept awake until midnight listening to questionable singing.
Housekeeping: Another interesting concept. We requested our room to be cleaned, but the rubbish wasn’t emptied and the used towels weren’t replaced. Toilet paper wasn’t replenished either, so we had to contact reception to get more.
Except we couldn’t call reception because the room phone was broken. So off we went on a lovely little walk to the front desk every time we needed something. Perhaps this was their way of helping guests hit their daily step count.
The gym: Calling this a gym is ambitious.
Broken machines, rust everywhere and equipment that looks like it has been abandoned for several decades. Some machines looked less like fitness equipment and more like exhibits in a museum called Things You Probably Shouldn’t Touch. Definitely not somewhere I’d recommend exercising unless you enjoy gambling with your joints.
The food: Honestly, I’m still not entirely sure how many times some of it had been served.
Food appeared to be recycled from one meal to the next, with everything seemingly competing to see what could contain the most oil and salt. If you enjoy food that leaves you wondering whether you just ate dinner or drank a bottle of cooking oil, you’ll be delighted.
The à la carte restaurant wasn’t much of an upgrade either. Very basic food at prices that certainly weren’t basic.
Smoking: If you’re a non-smoker or have asthma, prepare yourself.
People smoke everywhere, and there don’t seem to be enough properly designated smoking areas. Sitting outside and trying to enjoy a drink while someone is blowing cigarette smoke directly across you isn’t exactly the relaxing holiday experience advertised.
A proper smoking section away from the main guest areas would make an enormous difference.
The music: I now know the same 20 songs extremely well. Unfortunately.
They were played so frequently that by the end of the holiday I could probably have performed the entire playlist myself. Variety clearly wasn’t included in the all-inclusive package.
The positives: The staff were friendly, and I’ll give them that. The waterslides were also genuinely fantastic and probably the best part of the resort.
Unfortunately, good waterslides and friendly staff don’t make up for uncomfortable rooms, poor housekeeping, terrible food, a practically unusable gym, excessive smoking and nightly entertainment loud enough to make sure nobody gets an early night.
Would I return? Let’s just say I’m very grateful this was a holiday and not a permanent relocation.
There is potential here, but the hotel desperately needs to invest in basic maintenance, improve housekeeping and food quality, sort out the smoking situation and remember that a family resort should probably allow families to sleep before midnight.
