- Akra Fethiye Tui Blue Sensatori

Enjoying an exclusive spot within a stone's throw of the beach in a quiet area of the coastline, some 10 km west from the market town of Fethiye, this exclusive hotel is founded on 65,000 sqm of land and features three different conceptual sections: adults, mixed and family. Offering a superb range of amenities to suit all, this luxurious complex promises a unique and memorable place to stay with excellent facilities. The guest rooms are modern and decorated in muted tones; some with a swim-up feature and provide a comfortable place to rest. Whether preferring to stay around the complex, joining in the sports and entertainment programme or relaxing by the pool or in the spa & thalasso centre, there is plenty to keep hotel guests amused, alternatively the local area has much to offer including the much-photographed lagoon at Oludeniz and the once Greek inhabited village of Kayakoy.
The holiday was fine but not as good as we had hoped. Compared to other Akra hotels, it doesn’t come close. No drinks service around the pool. Buffet uninspired, the Chinese restaurant was very disappointing, poor service and mediocre food. The Italian and the Turkish restaurants were better but still not amazing. The adult only bar was good and the adult only pool were ok but the family areas felt like Butlins. We had gone there to investigate , with the view of bringing our four children, partners and grandchildren next year hence us rating the family areas. It really isn’t a bad hotel at all, it just wasn’t for us.
Amazing From start to Finish. Perfect in every way.
The adults only Swim up bar was a good escape from our grandkids!!
Staff can’t do enough for you , a credit to the hotel
Suffering from a bad case of the holiday blues- we’ve just returned from a week at Akra Fethiye with our 3 and 8 year old children, and it’s genuinely one of the best-value 5-star all inclusives we’ve visited. Long review incoming as there are so many great things about this hotel! The facilities are top-tier: the pools are brilliantly designed for all ages with ramped entries, and the activity pools and lifeguard-managed waterslides kept the kids entertained safely all day. The shaded play park right next to the beach bar was a fantastic touch, letting us unwind with a drink while keeping an eye on the children. The rooms were in slight need a revamp but were perfectly clean and comfortable with all the expected extras (mini bar, robes, slippers etc). The beach was pretty average but the stones weren’t as bad as we’d expected from other reviews and we all managed fine without needing beach shoes, it was also nice to be able to access the sea directly along the boardwalk to the pier which had steps into the sea- perfect for those who like to avoid the hot sand! The buffet restaurant with themed evenings catered brilliantly to everyone, and the 3 included à la carte restaurants were a lovely alternative to the buffet to break up the week. Whilst booking the à la carte’s wasn’t as straightforward as we’d have liked- guest relations were quick to help so we were able to visit all three during our stay, all of which are well worth a visit. Having the option for lunch at Basilico, sunset or the buffet also meant that no day was the same. The bar service (particularly at the main bar) was exceptional—with a vast selection of high-quality drinks and talented bartenders who gladly made off-menu cocktails as well as the fabulous selection of signature cocktails which aren’t to be missed! The evening entertainment in the amphitheater was a bit monotonous but perfectly enjoyable. We found the entertainment at the main bar was a good alternative to this for a more chilled vibe some evenings. Overall- we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. We hope to return again in the future.
We really enjoyed our family holiday to Akra Fethiye (2x families, 1x 2 adults, 2 kids 13/7, 1x 2 adults, 1 kid 11) in late July/early August. This was our second time in Turkey after visiting Akra Sorgun last year with the same group.
This hotel and experience is a solid 4.5/5 but given I didn’t have this option for this, I scored it a 4 as it’s not a 5/5.
The positives far outweigh the negatives and all in all we had a great time.
Positives:
Hotel layout is excellent including slides, pools, indoor gym, spa, indoor pool, many cafes, cabanas and restaurants. There’s loads to do and great for kids and adults alike and it feels very safe.
The buffet food and drinks options were very good (especially the cocktails), we would recommend the Chinese Al a carte as it was definitely the best of all of them, including the €50 per head Grill. My wife and friend are coeliac and there was plenty for them to eat with no repercussions.
The service, in terms of a few people especially, namely - Caesar, Nazim, Kaba, Hakim (The King of Cocktails) these were stand out people but many were friendly and helpful.
Could be better:
The Entertainment, it was largely very good but a step behind Akra Sorgun, there were 2/3 good acts but that’s it.
The cleanliness, again, nothing really wrong here and the housekeeping was good but not what I’ve come to expect from other 5* venues I’ve stayed in.
The layout of the lobby bar, it’s far too small and therefore cramped and very loud.
The service, again, I’ve commented positively above as it was largely great but not the same service experience that I’ve had from similar 5* resorts such as the Akra Sorgun last year. For example, the bars and buffet areas seemed to have been short staffed, especially the bars. Also the small things such as having the same servers at the buffet tables for breakfast and at other times, we didn’t see the same person twice across the holiday, again, not the biggest issue but this stuff matters when you’re marketed as a flagship 5* hotel.
We really enjoyed the holiday and made many memories, a solid 4.5 but we wouldn’t rush to return.
We really enjoy our holidays here - think our first visit was in 2017 & we just keep coming back! The rooms are spacious & well appointed & the mini bar/fridge is re stocked daily. The housekeeping team do a great job & the communal areas & gardens are also very well looked after. The food at all the numerous outlets is of a very high standard & the newly re designed buffet restaurant looks fantastic! Although due to the new layout there does seem to be more queuing at some of the hot food stations (maybe some things just need to be re located?). All the staff are friendly & helpful, we would specifically like to thank Koray at the adult pool bar (he makes great Bloody Marys!), also Mesut worked really hard around the pool area delivering drinks, Hakan at the beach bar was always smiling & Tugba who worked in the piano bar in the evenings was attentive & friendly. Recommend the spa which is lovely & relaxing - a hamman massage is a fabulous way the kick off the first day of your holiday. Looking forward to returning - hopefully see you all again in September 😀 Jennifer & Paul
